    Weather Summary

    thumb3_kari.jpg

Weather Underground Forecast for Thursday, March 08, 2012.

In northern Asia, a fast moving system will move through south of Honshu Thursday morning, bringing a brief period of rain to portions of eastern Honshu, including Tokyo and Mito areas. Farther north, a large low pressure system will bring a chance of precipitation over far northeastern China, eastern Russia and Hokkaido. Precipitation should be mainly scattered and remain on the light side.

Moving to eastern China and Taiwan, a pool of moisture combined with a stationary front will continue to trigger light to moderate precipitation across central and southeastern parts of China and Taiwan. This front will shift slightly north on Friday, bringing light rain to southern Japan.

Over Australia, no good news is for New South Wales through Friday. The persistent low pressure system off the coast will remain stationary and continue to produce rainfall across the southeastern Australia. This will cause even more flooding in some areas. Conditions may improve slightly Saturday as the low moves toward New Zealand. Farther north, tropical moisture will keep scattered showers and thunderstorms going in northern Queensland and Northern Territory.

  2. I have seen hail several times here. It was never in December, and not that cold. It was in the summer, where the temp was extremely hot during the day, and late afternoon a black cloud would roll through, dropping the temp drastically fast, and marbles appear.

  3. I for one is perfectly happy with my Thai wife. I did not come to Thailand wishing to meet and socialize with western men.

Yep me neither, but I am happy to shoot the breeze with any that I encounter.

Nice at it is for those of us with families coasting along in the slow lane, I can't say that Chiang Rai would be the first place I would choose to live if I were single so I can imagine how lonely it might be here for a single guy.

Send me a pm one-eyed and I will invite you to lunch at my wife's restaurant... will help other days seem less monotonous :)

    One-eyed is not single.

  4. no comments or questions?

    Questions:

1 - Did you change your TV ID?

    2 - Why?

yes, I did change my TV ID. I can't say why because I might be breaking the rules to talk about moderator issues. However, one of the moderators figured it out and wrote to tell me it's ok, as long as I don't break the rules (or words to that effect). If you want to know details, contact me direct.

More important than that, Since starting this post, Boomerang got a new manager. He's an Aussie fellow who has considerable climbing experience. We're beefing up safety apparatus and proceedures to an already very safe place. Thus far, hundreds of climbers and zippers have enjoyed the place, and not one injury - I don't think many of the local taverns can even say that.

You must not have read Rule#10

  5. didn't feel the aftershock, but I'm as dizzy as a Coot, or something like that. definately like just come home from a trip at Sea. Glad others are feeling it too.

Jub, slow down on your alchohol consumption, and it will go away. :whistling:

  6. About 30 seconds worth deep centre of town near Tops also so I am guessing this was a pretty wide spread quake.

    Didn't see any damage though.

    Maybe the Myans were right?

  7. We bought a plot of land in Feb 2010, behind Big C. 145 T/W cost 950,000 baht but checking on a few prices this year, land has gone up quite a bit. But as it is the world over location-location-location.

    Nahm tooam

Before, yes, but think ok now??

  8. The yellow noodle dish in the photos (khao soi) is not a Thai dish, its Burmese.

A Thai once told me that (khao soi) was not a thai food, that it was Indian--?? Makes kinda sence since it has yellow curry in it--??

  9. . Sadly were talking about several individuals that are all over 50 years old and should know better , sadly they dont know what they are doing when they have drank so much.

Im glad the under 50's never cause any problem.??
