  1. There is a wonderful place on the main road where you can get roast duck on a bed of rice and a bowl of chicken broth soup for B35. You have to be there fairly early or they run out of duck. I wish i could tell you the location, but they are running out of duck earlier and earlier, and i don't want to spoil it for myself

  2. Most thais are terrified with ghosts and goblins, and can be seen by lovely houses not being occupied for years because someone or two died in them. It's amazing that they would ever go to a hospital. :o

For me, I am going to celebrate and my costume is naked on roller skates- going as a pull toy

  3. You must not have lived here very long. You do get used to it after a while. It was a lot quieter just after the bird flu culling, but is back to normal now.

Off subject-a couple of years ago i was driving south of Phetchabun on my way to one of the "buri" town" and for 50k kept seeing a sign for the best BBQ chicken in Thailand. Had to stop, and they were right. Can't tell you where, but the signs will guide you. :o

  4. I sat next to a chinese guy from Taiwan on a flight. He asked me if he could check me, and i allowed. He pressed two fingers kind of hard in the wrist pulse area for about a minute with his eyes closed. He relayed to me my past medical problems i have had and was 100% on. Someone told me once there was a name for this-forgot, and many are very accurate. I was amazed :o

  5. porcupines mate for life, the female allows the male to breed her 8 times a night, every day of the year, even when she's not in heat, to ensure that he will stay by her and her only, and ensure that she will be bred and fertilized when she is in heat.

I had a GF once that was like a porcupine, but couldn't keep up-aging sucks :o

  6. Tesabahn says Chiang Mai should be prepared for flooding between 8pm-midnight.

I think basically no one is sure how bad and how much water but friends tell me still heavy rain in Phrao and Chiang Dao. Just better to be prepared - not like the first time when my friends car literally floated away and other people lost computers, fridges etc etc because they weren't prepared.

I have heard reports that Mae Ngad dam is OK but everyone getting worried with the constant rain.

Chiangrai now raining hard-headed your way :o
