  1. Choosing to live in a country you don't like and then complaining about it is a bit like smacking yourself in the face and then complaining it hurts.

I didnt choose to live here I stayed for my Wife which means Im free to slag it off as much as I like.

Someone forced you to move here and marry a local?

I stayed for my Wife its called sacrificing yourself no forcing occurred, it still leaves me free to moan whinge bitch and tell it how I see it. Hey she's a lucky woman being married to a bundle of joy like me eh?

I like you,no reason why she should nottongue.pngbiggrin.pnglaugh.png

  2. No but I had a girlfriend before I came to Thailand.

It was easy enough to chuck her

Will let you on little inside.

Selling business is NOT easy and takes months if not years.

Selling house is just as hard.

Of course letting it all go for 10th of what its worth is easier, but then not sure about yourself, but i like to keep my hard earned money.

Chucking GF is easy when you moving to a country where plenty are for sale

  3. Yes but everyone has a choice as to how deep they allow those roots to run.

There's renting a condo and there's building a house on land bought in a woman's name

There's just having a casual girlfriend and there's getting married, breeding and pumping money into an extended family

No one's forced to do anything against their will

    Of course everyone has choices.

People migrate to another country, learn its ways, its culture and its people.

Usually for people with half a brain, it takes years not months to actually understand how things work.

By the time, one has a clear understanding, its not as easy as ABC to pack and go else where.

  4. Choosing to live in a country you don't like and then complaining about it is a bit like smacking yourself in the face and then complaining it hurts.

No one chose to live in the country they did not like.

People first liked it,then got to know it.

By they time they realized their true feelings, too many roots have been set making it hard to move.thumbsup.gif

    Roots? What roots?

Houses, cars and businesses can be sold

Wives are portable as are children

Will it require adjustment? Sure, but if one fundamentally hates the environment in which they're immersed, it seems like a small trade-off

I take it you never owned a business? Only assume because you seem to think its as easy as ABC

Wives are portable? try getting just GF to move, easier with the one that is paid monthly, not so easy with the one who has a real job and friends

Moving to a country you know little about and putting down roots is hardly the smartest thing to do either, is it?

Not all like living like backpackerswhistling.gif

  7. "The Philippines is globally the friendliest country to migrants, while Thailand has the biggest number of xenophobic citizens."

I've not visited all the countries in the world so I cant comment on them, but of the countries in Asia that I have visited I would say that the above quote is perfectly true.

As for farangs being ganged-up on, yes it definitely happens here. But I cant imagine it happening so much in the Philippines, if at all. In fact in the RP I would expect many Filipinos to be on the side of the farang.

Very, very different cultures and people.

If you agree with the above, can you explain the reason for always increasing number of attacks and murder of foreigners in such a friendly, loving place?

Visiting Angeles City and hearing you are the sexist man does not translate into "friendliest" not to mention Angeles City is tightly controlled by 1 cop and gang to ensure foreign money is safe, otherwise city would be "out of business"

Step out side the safe zone and see how "friendly" Filo's are

That's a completely different situation. I didn't say that there are no murders or muggings in the RP, I said that you dont get gangs of Filipinos ganging up on foreigners just because they are foreign.

Here you get both things, and in spades.

DO you want to try again?

Yes you do get gangs, ganging up, killing and robbing.

As i said, step outside safe zone of Angeles City and see how safe you will feel.

  8. Yeah, Isaan is a real heaven with loads of highly educated women, lol

She used to work in China, we now have a farm in Isaan my choice I prefer the slower pace of life now.

Thats nice, many also work in Singapore, Bahrain and even UKthumbsup.gif

You might actually be using a bit of Tech from the company she worked in the finance department of.

And i thought she was teaching English.

  9. Never had that problem whether it be family members or any other Thai person, mind you I try not to go to places with large farang population

    You nailed it, Sabaidee Mai.

Treat Thais with respect and - with very few exceptions - that's the way they will treat you.

Farangs are a different breed; many more seem to be arrogant and clueless here in Thailand.

Hope you do not forget to wai the taxi drivers and the hookersgigglem.gif

Never used a Hooker in Thailand or any other country, and Taxi's don't need them have my own SUV and if that is in for service their are many other vehicles in the village I can use.

Yeah, Isaan is a real heaven with loads of highly educated women, lol

Different levels of respect for different situations and people.

    It works... try it.

So you do wai taxi drivers and hookers?

  12. connda, I agree with all you say ... Thais dont have any manners unless directed to another thai, they are extremely xenophobic - In the West we would call it racist.

English 1 is right that thais are jealous cause many westeners have more Money (very important in Land of $), are better educated, have more knowledge (know Earth is not flat) and dosent have to pick their nose 20 times per day ...

Of course your post is disliked by the Group that think all thais is bliss - even if a LB rape them they just love it ...gigglem.gif

Dont know what you should do about your wifes sister and horrible children - maybe just not invite them again ... thumbsup.gif

Or dump her ass and find a new one, who have enough brain cells to at least respect the owner of the house or have enough brain not to piss off the cow that feeds them.

  14. Some years ago I had a gf and all was ok.

One day her mother, sister with 5 kids came to visit.

I did not mind. In the morning her mother growled in my direction when I greeted her, sister addressed me as "you" and kids ate all my food.

By afternoon all were thrown out of my house including the GF.

Bottom line is, the signs were all there to start with OP, you just failed to act on it.

PS. Kids having no manners is direct result of their upbringing and your wife failing to pull them in line is good enough reason for you to dump her ass

  15. Many locals simply do not know and do not understand about animals, animal care or welfare.

    I have a neighbor who has 2 dogs, i have 6

We became friendly, but she had no clue.

I showed her, dogs need to be walked and can not be locked up in small garden.

She came along with me to the park for few weeks, but then got tired and dogs are loved but locked up in tiny garden

My maid, is an absolute animal lover, but she had no clue how to look after animals.

When she started to work for me, she started to learn everything from training to food, to welfare.

She now has about 12 dogs and 17 cats. All well cared for.

Its basically down to knowledge, most locals i have met do not know where to even look for information.

  16. Don't go the lawyer route unless you have deep pockets. If you speak fluent Thai - call in at the police station *before* the time suggested and ask for a photocopy of the police report filed against you. You can mention that you are writing up a full report of the persons actions that lead to her being fired, and now will add false charges, defamation and other losses needing compensation. This will filter back to your problem person and likely everything will just go quiet.

You can assess the police for their reaction -- whether they appear to have a vested interest in your accuser - maybe some policemans wife/cousin/whatever. As I said earlier -- too many variables

As an aside -- if you can't deal with a little hiccup like this maybe you should re-consider your involvement in business in Thailand wink.png

Filing civil and criminal defamation case does not require deep pockets

Not filing one, may result in paying stupid amount of compensation.

Clearly she was smart and brave enough to file assault charged and clearly has something up her sleeves, otherwise police would not have taken any actions.

Best to fight fire with fire, especially when one is seen as a rich foreigner with company taking advantage of a poor thai girl.

This is NOT little hiccup, but a nasty spiteful bitch, not exactly an every day occurrence

    .

  17. Well they made me sign a piece of paper to agree I go next week.

The thing is, we have proof she was stealing our customers, that must count for something to show she is dishonest.

Well 2 employees are going overseas tomorrow for business, so it will only be me there lol..... That is what makes me nervous

And you should be, this is why you take a lawyer and file both criminal and civil defamation law suits.

Stealing customers will NOT count for anything in her case against you, for assault.

However will count in your case against herthumbsup.gif
