US national in mystery death fall from Nonthaburi building
Harsh Jones replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Of all the cases year after year, decade after decade, we've never had a video or any kind of obvious evidence of a Thai woman wrestling a farang over a balcony rail. Just sayin. -
Any supercar dealer should require some basic driving lessons before they deliver a car. These cars are incredibly stiff and the window of traction is hard to judge. Even just hot rodding around isn't particularly easy. Ppl drive these cars like they are a glorified Camaro or beamer and they are nothing like that.

Well it isn't. The more the police win the war on drugs, the more potent the drugs have to be made. Because they are easier to smuggle in smaller quantities. That is why there is such a big problem in North America. They started winning the war on heroin. So the drug business opted for fentanyl. In Europe, the more bulky and safe Afghan heroin can still get in over land. So way less people in Europe die from fent overdoses.

Anyone with even the slightest clue knows that if you have self preservation in mind, you have one job. And that is to avoid beach road between 3 and 5 am. -

That isn't a very good idea. Half of the drivers will be intoxicated in varying degrees. You are probably one of them. -
Couple Killed Instantly as Big Bike Slams into Lorry in Bangkok

100% riders fault. Just not in the way everyone thinks. Some riders don't understand that a bike has to lean to turn. They iterally cannot steer a motorcycle and are riding right into things. Like this. The bike could probably take that turn at 3 times the speed that he is going. But he doesn't countersteer/lean and therefore the bike doesnt turn https://smartcdn.gprod.postmedia.digital/driving/wp-content/uploads/2020/05/bike-crash.gif?quality=90&strip=all&w=2400&h=1350&type=webp&sig=dgM60dN0_gtMtSkYP0GXew -
Anutin: Investigation into Bangkok Building Collapse to Take Months
Harsh Jones replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
I wonder what the scandal mongers would be dining out on if not for this building collapse. 4.7 seems low for the kind of shaking that was going on in Bangkok, especially the videos from the towers. There is more factors than just the magnitude. Depth also plays a big part. We had a 4.7 magnitude earthquake in Vancouver British Columbia 1 month ago. It was nothing more than a curiosity with no damage recorded. Yet in Bangkok with the same alleged 4.7 magnitude, the buildings are swaying side to side to the point where pool water is all landing on the streets. There is hardly any worthwhile footage other than a camera mounted to a flimsy pole to good effect. The quake was just below the threshold where damage should be expected they say -

Nah. Probably not. Most failures like this are engineering failures. The unconventional design theory makes a hell of a lot more sense than the "rebar bad" nonsense. -
Ghost Tower Defies Odds: Bangkok's Abandoned Icon Survives Quake
Harsh Jones replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
For the audit admin building it was the following: The contractors were Italian-Thai Development under the supervision of China Railway Engineering Corporation.[ It wasn't a Chinese company doing the building. The rebar story that suddenly appeared out of nowhere led to a Chinese company allegedly. Now everyone thinks it was a Chinese building. Its a standard propaganda tactic Here is a headline from ABC news Australia: Beijing censors Bangkok high-rise collapse, as Chinese company faces investigations in Thailand -

It was probably at a curve in the road , like most of them are. Seems like there are a lot of motorcycle riders who don't understand how a motorcycle actually turns . And then literally everyone except me, blames the speed. -

Anyway this building must have used only the finest rebar available in the world , from the smelters in Stuttgart. -

Stop with the unfounded nonsense maybe. It must not be fun being somehow stuck in a country that you so completely detest. Is that the Thai's fault too ? -

Bangkok Tower Collapse: Watchdog Warned of Sub-Standard Steel
Harsh Jones replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
Is this supposed to be some gotcha video ? It was a 7.7 magnitude earthquake. That is classic pancaking. One floor buckles and lands on the lower floor. Then one floor is holding 2 floors so it fails and so on. -
