Who do they pay under the table to get this license?

His suggestion was that the charter drafters should reduce the details of the constitution to its core principles, while leaving the specifics to organic laws instead.
Then it can be interpreted any which way to suit the occasion.

There is that Jack Nicholson look again, he is mad I tell you - mad, mad mad!

It just keeps coming all this crap, it's like living in a soap opera. Take it up with the morals committee, they are always making themselves heard this time of the year.

Enough said already, get on with it. So one and all should expect some Hi-So names in the press very shortly, but won't hold my breath. BS!

My kids got their Thai passports the next day at Tanya Plaza Srinakarin, and they did not have to pay more than B1,000.
It seems to me that this is a clever ploy to get people to hang around in the restaurants and market which some officers have an interest in while waiting for their passports to be ready in the afternoon.
Maybe they do have interests in the restaurants, but who cares if it means you don't have to wait weeks with possibly a deadline looming? It isn't like you aren't going to eat on that day anyway...
Agreed, great entrepreneurial move

If correct which is questionable due to today's date, whatever needs to be done to extract the ore, greed will dictate.

these people conspired to engage in terrorism. imho, they have no rights.
awwwwwwww, they were beaten, electrocuted gee, too bad
look at some footage of the victims of the boston bombings, closer to home victims of bkk bombings,
the victims around yala. those fortunate enough to survive, scared for life, crippled, mained, blinded.
thai's killing women, children, on and on
give me a break, the perps were actively engaged in terrorism, throwing grenades, fabricating IED's.
their rights trump your rights to a peaceful life???
So much for deemed innocent until proven guilty. So if you got banged up for something you didn't do and were tortured, you will stay silent? I bet you would be seen crying from the rooftops. If these people are so guilty as charged, why take the risk of them getting off due to stupid illegal acts. As I said before, this sort of abuse is to get false admissions of guilt to cover the ass of someone higher up in the pecking order.

Now that this little charade along with finding the alleged stash of high explosives dumped in bushes last week has played out, they will all be returned to the police armory where they most likely came from.
Stash = hoard (noun) hide, hoard (verb). If somebody has a stash of weapons for sinister purposes they would have been hidden not just dumped.....
1,730 suspects arrested - apprehended (which one is it? Being apprehended means you are taken to the police station for questioning. Being arrested means you are formally charged.) and not one photo of or finger pointing at the accused.
Police seized 158 guns and arrested 1,730 suspects. Of the 1,730 suspects apprehended, 180 of them were involved with weapons. So one has to make more presumptions in that there must be more than one person volunteering to own one of the guns for the sake of the exercise.
How do you get so many arrest warrants for so many unarmed individuals and why do you arrest them if they haven't done anything wrong?
Where are they all being held or have they all been bailed. Is it too much to ask the media to do some basic 101 investigative journalism to report the real news.
More than likely the way it operates under the junta is as follows: Journo's sit on their fat ass at HQ drinking coffee, full days stories are emailed to them by General Pepe Le Pew, they are interpreted into primary school English, passed to the editor, prioritized and printed.
From your questions I take it you are not that long here, yet ?
Still a lot to learn, hey ?
In many third world countries, especially the ones located in South America and Africa, the government has links with the underworld and the mafia.
In Thailand the government is the mafia.
No, not long, married my Mon wife from Ratchaburi in 1971, I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren part Thai. Retired living in mid north Thailand.
From your comments you seem to be a little naive, the piece I wrote was more tongue in cheek than an inquiry. I probably forgot more about Thailand than you have learnt, hey! Don't surmise, it can be mistaken for arrogance.
-
They simply must not turn him over. Even a foreigner would get refugee status over this with Thailand's current situation.
Typical American reaction.. hand us over anyone we want.. but vice versa.. no no no.
Real arrogant attitude.
I can still remember the Dutch people ticked in the US and extradited. The Netherlands should never again send anyone to the US untll they clean up their act.
It should be open season on all Dutch. If you have a gripe regarding the Dutch and USA, start another topic, it has nothing to do with this mans predicament.

Who for Petes sake is going to teach them? Talk about the usual blind leading the blind scenario in Thailand.

this year the deal must also be approved by Governor Nisit.” he appeared not to have heard about the problem.
Still working out the fine print where it says how much of a backhander he gets.

The real question here is, do suspects ready to injure/kill innocent people by throwing grenades at them, deserve to have their human rights observed? You/your family could have got killed/injured by those "freedom-fighters".
Everybody deserves their human rights observed, then and only then can we be assured that justice is served correctly. Would you be happy if one of your family was killed / injured by someone who later avoids punishment due to some brain dead police or the like gets their rocks off with torture only to be then used against them in court? I think not, so wrap them in cotton wool, treat them as fragile and burn their asses through the legal system.
Would it not be more than likely that torture is used to get false confessions rather than true ones, and to ensure if that they may be associated with the crime in anyway, the top players are protected. In this case the current Government.

Unbelievable is the only word that comes to mind at this present moment about yours and the other paper with a farang forum. You go on and on with a story about nothing, but you cannot follow up on sensitive, newsworthy stories that effects the readers. You are Junta influenced, Junta gagged and Junta paid. Grow a pair for everyone sake.

Thaksin was convicted by a court that had little option but to find him guilty. All they could get him on was a conflict of interest, that is not corruption, but a minor charge the same as they got Samak on for appearing on a cooking program. Quite right Prayuth nor any other Thai could arrest Mr T in Singapore, that's a civilized country governed by the rule of law, and not the rule of thugs and force and illegal coups.
Are you referring to a different Singapore. I suggest you check your history on this country and read up about the recently departed leader.

Anyone still doubt Darwin??
A 17 year old schoolgirl carrying a gun??
If those two represent the future of Thailand, Lord have mercy!!
It's not just Thailand, it's happening right around the world. A couple of years ago an Australian was out jogging in the USA. A group of teenagers were just driving around looking for someone to kill. The saw him, shot him and killed him......mission complete.
These types of crimes were virtually non existent when I was a lad, so what's changed ?
These days the blame lies with the parents and their parents, lack of upbringing, lack of displine, lack of due care. Simple as that.
It's happening right around the world. You only get out of children what you put into children. It's hard work.
Too many dead beat ignorant fools on this planet are breeding.
My theory backed by the 60 plus years living on this godforsaken planet, it started to become pear shaped in the late seventies / early eighties when the new breed of educator took over and started changing a perfectly good teaching system. Add to that, they also began to brainwash the kids into believing hat they had a right to question and report their parents on any issue they wished thus eroding respect. Following on from that was kowtowing politicians who brought about everything being politically correct.

Yeah! you tell those insignificant little sons and daughters of bitches Mr PM that they can't tell you what to do, who do they think they are anyway, closet media. You tell them if they don't do as you say you will ban all lotteries in Thailand. That will show them. Sorry, what was that General? Oh! they don't need to worry yet, it still in the draft stage and you will let them know as soon as have have passed the law; you know like we are doing with all the other non important stuff like the Charter. But isn't it a bit late PM? Why all the questions farang, I feel like punching you.
-
Yep! Great job your boys are doing General/PM, but the stress must be enormous. Chasing young girls for posting 'underboob photos' and fighting fires, all in a days work hey General. "Pity though you are threatening future artists and models with 5 years jail but pyromaniacs who are killing people, get a slap on the hand. Glad to see you are getting them there priorities right Mr PM, they are defiantly in the Nations interest, even though the educated world kind of think you are an idiot.

If anyone believes Thailand will ever become anymore than what it is today, a lawless land inhabited by uneducated puppets manipulated by the rich and powerful who are supported by their more than willing corrupt servants, they are brain dead. Democracy has never been and never will be part of Thailand regardless of how many elections are held. What goes around comes around; this land was initially settled, owned and run by the Chinese and the full circle is near complete.

Hasn't changed my opinion about POMS, has just reinforced it.

Such a pity he wasn't lucky enough to marry a woman who inherited big bucks or a rich daddy who sells off assets. Do the PM, his cronies and many members here really give two shites. Don't think so.

It seems to be such a common occurrence that it hardly raises an eyebrow anymore.
Agreed....you are not sure whether to laugh at the guy's foolishness,
or to feel sorry for him.
I chuckled first, come to think of it, I kept chuckling.

Still on a high from the pat on the back from one of the bosses they thought it appropriate to bust a few Burmese heads. I know what my dogs are doing at night, they are at home. If there is a need to go out, they are kept on a short leash. Something the BIB should practice.
