How many hours do these clowns spend googling to come up with this useless, ineffectual clap trap. What the country needs is for all the unintelligent fossils to silently melt into the background, a good education system put into place run by younger intelligent people, and a massive amount of international expertise to be imported.
-
Here is a novel idea, the educators do a lot of high flying, and the tourist mob need to be educated so swap the Education office personnel with the TAT office personnel and see what eventuates.

The Man will have to intervene on this one, but we will have to wait until he consults his oracle first.
-
An investigation would sort this little mess out P.M. Prayuth.
Will The Man toss this into the 'too hard basket' - like the lottery price clampdown, or The 'I don't care it is none of my business basket' - like the complaint over the launch of the rice book.
-
fingers in the cookie jar ....
good luck mister PM to get rid of it
as for now ... thailand is really a hub ... or corruption
too bad the list of assests is just a paper dragon for governement officials ... how many soldiers does it take to check all of those wealthy living officials with a meager governement salary, living the hi-so live
Apparently they are too busy with cleaning beaches to tackle the minor issues, but how dare we question the Man.
-
"Gen Prayuth made known that the NCPO would soon pass on the administrative power to the Cabinet and would instead assume a role of coordinator.".Makes little difference, they are one of the same as only one person makes the decisions, and that is the Man.

No, corruption is not going to reduce, only the freedom to report it.

Once the Man speaks, all must abide. He is saying give the people what he wants, a waiver for Channel 3. That is the luxury of being the Dictator of any country, do as I say not as I do.

All smoke and bloody mirrors, fix a few beaches, half fix the lottery price scam, take some land back but don't penalise any state official, and on and on it goes. The taxi drivers are still up to their old tricks, jet ski operators are still scamming, tourist are still being ripped off, child labour is still continuing and local officials are still hi so-ing it. Today, tomorrow, next week and beyond it will still be in your face. The one and only hope this country has is to be placed at the bottom of the dung pile when ASEAN becomes a reality, maybe, just maybe the message might get through, if not the country is headed for total ruin.

Can the thai immigration authorities please start doing random passport checks in areas like Huay Kwang, Ratchada, Thonglor, Chinatown etc as there are lots of Chinese overstayers who are living and working in Thailand and even Singaporean Chinese, Malaysian Chinese, Fillipinos, Koreans and even Japanese overstayers these days I have been told. Some blend in by speaking thai and acting thai. In areas like Huay Kwang and Ratchada like the Ideo Huaykwang Condo for instant, I have seen chinese renting 31 sqm condos with 4 to 6 people staying in them. The agents like Bangkok Residence and the condo management do not comply with Thai laws which make it mandatory to report to immigartion and the local police any foreigners who are staying in the building. I have seen many young Chinese operating businesses here in Thailand even at the Jatujak Market (I did not know that there were work permits that allow foreigners to sell at the weekend market or even to work in certain salad bars at Paragon (one run by the family of a so called patriotic Indian family employs only fillipinos serving staff...again did not know that workpermits were allowed for such professions). The thai immigration should start doing random checks in all condo buildings in Bangkok not only the low class condos but aklso the middle and upper end ones.
Please its not fair for farangs who abide by thai and immigrations laws and pay local taxes duly to see other foreigners doing things illegally and the authorities not catching them.
If it bothers you that much and you obviously know where they all are why don't you report them to Immigration, you seem the type to do so
Are these people affecting your life in some way? I doubt it so what's your problem?
People like you knock me sick to be honest.
As a long term resident in Thailand having married a local girl in 1971, it is the attitude of people like you that makes this country such a mess it is today.

Don't know if you are being witty but the term "Sister" applied to the head nurse in a hospital until the UK decided it was sexist a few yaers ago.
Just goes to show the UK are even sillier than Thais
I actually think those photos are dusgusting but I am not 100% sure if I am being a bit of a prude or not.
I would appreciate either a video, her phone number or some original untouched pics before deciding for sure.
She is hot, so you are either a prude or gay.
-
Hot?
Does she work in the burns unit?
Tattoos, as such seen, are not the norm of a nurse...... looks more like a whos' room to me.
That's right, tattoos are only the norm for bar girls. Geez!, how many times have I heard that sort of comment, usually from Farangs' other halves who were only cashiers. Give me a break.

"This was said to stimulate local tourism and curb people from touring abroad." When Thais return from abroad they are counted in the figures of tourists visiting the country, so now TAT are going to have think of another dodgy way to manipulate the numbers. How stressful it is in the life of a TAT executive.

A little wonder that the Islamic faith is growing at such a rapid pace when you look at the practices of all the other mainstream religions.

Clearly no foul play involved. It is normal Corrections Department practice to swing a heavy weight onto a restrained prisoner's torso until internal bleeding occurs.
Personally I would have greatly preferred to see him stand trial but there must be a number of people who stood to lose a lot by being implicated in crimes of murder and terrorism by him, if he taken the stand, and were prepared to pay good money to ensure he didn't.
" It is normal Corrections Department practice to swing a heavy weight onto a restrained prisoner's torso until internal bleeding occurs."
How do you know this?
Until proven I regard this as a blatant lie
And btw: inner bleeding is normally caused by violent force / heavy impact. - What would be the use of making a death appear to have been caused by violence ??
gastrointestinal bleeding is NOT caused by violent force but by blood coagulation failure or gastrointestinal ulcer or liver disease.
You are wrong all over, you do not know what you are talking about but you are happy to throw shit against a government that you do not favour - right?
Say what? It appears the wit of sarcasm is something from the past.

This forum should be renamed grumblingpensionerswithnolives.com
The man in charge of Thailand has specifically stated that he will deal with the jetski scam, an issue that has been posted about thousands of times here on tv.com.
And yet, for many this isn't enough. What do you want? A personal phone call or visit from the General?
Nothing, nothing, NOTHING is good enough for you miserable b********s. I would never use a jet ski and dislike them on the beaches, but the corruption and intimidation associated with them is a real problem. Well done Thailand for beginning to take action.
It appears a new trend is emerging on TV with senior bashing by jumped-up arrogant and pompous young jerks still wet behind the ears. You and the college kid here the other day might do well listen to these older members and learn something about the country you admire through you rose-coloured glasses before it bites you on your still pimpled backside. Show some respect kid.

Took only four posts for someone to blame Thaksin.
Never mind there have been organised disturbances specifically with the intent of causing harm and instability by his opponents for over 8 years.
And never mind that the junta (and Democrats) continued the vast majority of Thaksin's policies when they took over.
No, no, it's all Thaksin's fault.
let's just sit back and watch the junta make it all better shall we?
Give it a rest and move on.

After 43 years of association with Thailand, I am still tying to understand Thainess. Can't wait until the great Thainess promotion starts, I am sure more confusion to come.

Looks like a lot of (apparently) old farts are putting down the students for complaining.
When I went to college, not that long ago, the cafeteria was heavily subsidized. Later at work, the cafeteria was heavily subsidized. The former was to make it affordable for the kids to eat, the latter was an employee benefit.
I would suggest that the whiners about the whiners should suck it up. A lot of students don't have a lot of cash and a couple hundred bhat a week makes a difference.
Get real sunshine, they are complaining because it is a couple of hundred baht less to spend on high end goods and entertainment.
-
Must be some pretty nice digital clocks for that price, you can buy a luxury house with a privat pool for the same price.
Yep, probably did!
-
Don't use 'Thainess', you'll scare folks away. Then again I guess the rest of the world don't know what it means.
Do Thais themselves know what it means?

Lets see how long before certain people end up ashes.

This is about as successful all this huff and puff is going to get in this dysfunctional country. One strike and two to go.

Are the poor willing to wake up at 3am?
There had to be one of these racist post
Far from a racist comment, but a fair question.
