That was not my experience when in hospital and requiring a visa extension. However, I did not become an overstayer. The hospital had a visa section which helped facilitate an extension. Anyway, presumably the important thing is you got better after successful treatment and did not get imprisoned or deported.

Some hospitals have a special visa section. In your case perhaps the letter was to be used to get a visa extension on medical grounds before it expired.

The Steak company is superb with a wide range of imported beef ,immaculately cooked and with a very knowledgeable Maitre De. The one next door run by the same owner is not as good. As for the LS next foor...appalling service.

I suspect many of those Fillipinos are working illegally in Thailand. And yes, the are special rules allowing labor from Laos, Myanmar & Cambodian workers to legally work in thailand.
Restaurant, hotels, estate agents, security are many of the jobs I have seen Filipinos doing.

The OP or early some contributors seem to be giving grooming instructions on how to trap unsuspecting, inexperienced travellers into giving them free sex. Thats abuse to me. Its border line exploitation. If you dont understand the predatory nature of some of the comments here it is perhaps because you have predatory tendencies and in the land of the best sex workers in the world you are too tight fisted to pay. However, as a keen observer I can not recollect having ever seen Chinese girls in Thailand showing any interest in European men. We appear to them as ugly white, clumsy, ignorant, ghostly apes. But hey - go for it!
