  1. Possibly because the assailant was checking out, and when he saw the bill, that was the reason he went berserk.
  2. No need to wait on "the night before", I can "taste my Mate" while we sandwich that Hot Girl. It is so fortunate for you that every "girlfriend" you've ever had was a virgin.
  3. I bought an LG G10 OLED Smart TV. I love it. Netflix, YouTube, Prime, HBO, all a click away. I like the simplicity of it all. Having watched my friend dealing with all of his dongles and sticks and PC connections, that looks like a nightmare to me. Then again, it depends a lot on your content. This TV does not have apps that support every source that you might be interested in, so you would want to look into what it supports.
  4. This is not a solution to your immediate issue. However, you mentioned a more "sustainable" solution to the problem. About two years ago, credit card companies in the US began to require that I receive an OTP via SMS to complete any online transaction. However, they were not able to send that SMS to anything but a valid US phone number. This basically made my credit cards unusable for online transactions. What I did was purchase a "phone number" from Skype. This costs me $5 per month. With this phone number, I was able to turn on the "Receive SMS" option, and now all SMS messages to that number arrive in my Skype. Now when I attempt a payment online, I get the OTP in Skype, and type it in to complete the purchase. Since I get the SMS to my phone, tablet, and computer, I can complete purchases from any device. Since the number is a US phone number, I have never had a problem with receiving the SMS messages. It also means that friend and family in the US can SMS me using the same number. I also purchased an "unlimited minutes" call plan from Skype, which allows me to call anyone in the US, and receive calls to that number. The calls ring my phone, tablet, and computer simultaneously, which is quite convenient.
  5. No worries. These are all high-quality, wealthy tourists who will spend millions of baht.
  6. The private sector knowing more about business than the government? Who would have guessed.
  7. The KMobile app can make bank transfers very easily with decent exchange rates. I send money to my US bank account this way no problem. It is a SWIFT transfer, so the bank must have a SWIFT code.
  8. In several conversations with taxi drivers, they have complained about drunk passengers forgetting/refusing to wear their mask inside the taxi. I can definitely sympathize.
  9. Come on now. These officials have shown compassion to the homeless throughout the pandemic. They let them sleep on the street rent free didn't they?
  10. Is it possible for Thai people to be less physically active?
  11. By the time these folks realize they have botched high season, high season will be over. Another long difficult year for anyone depending on tourism. Truly sad.
  12. 2023 is very optimistic. In fact, I doubt tourist numbers will return to 2019 levels in my lifetime.
  13. My son in the US suffers with Crohn's. I truly sympathize. Sadly, immigration here is not very adaptive or sympathetic, which is why the agent is so important sometimes.
  14. He is simply practicing for the gauntlet, and being able to survive riding through a hail of bullets.
  15. Seriously doubt that this requirement will happen in the next few weeks. However, if it does, you simply need to find a well-connected agent that can explain your special circumstance, and find some means of dealing with it. No need to worry for this year's extension, in my opinion.
  16. Indeed. Exactly like the "test charge" many online sites use to ensure they can charge your card later for a subscription service. Then the charge is reversed later. Possibly a bug at one of those outfits? Have you subscribed to anything online lately?
  17. Perfect example of precisely how the RTP, government, and elite, view the average Thai person.
  18. I am trying not to "estimate" anything. I am just a guy on the sidelines. But it appears to me that those in charge have tunnel vision, and the debate on the best approach to handling this pandemic is not as balanced as it should be. What we all want is the optimal approach to the problem.
