Destined not to work!
Enough problems with facial recognition!
And I use apps AND go on line when app doesn't work (frequently) which doesn't require a SIM.
Visits to my bank are a nightmare with long queues due to so many branches closing!

I won't be booking Eva again as they gave my pre-booked aisle seat to a supposedly needier person alongside my family and moved me to a cramped window seat on the other side of the plane as a result of which I lost them on disenbarking and fell on the travelator whilst looking for them injuring my elbow

Get a wooden seat-plastic deteriorates in this heat and humidity
Best to replace whole toilet if bolts corroded

Did transfer yesterday using 'funds for long term stay' as usual-no questionnaire as usual.
Wise would tell us if rules changed. Too much speculation especially as tax authorities probably monitoring web sites for ideas!

Last pandemic prooved masks work especially when mass movement of tourists from originating countries is being encouraged. General reduction in upper respiratory tract infections whilst mask wearing abounded in countries able to acquire them. Foolish not to use such a simple preventative.

Immigration only want to see incoming FTTs. I obtain Credit Advices for FTTs then give them back to my bank to certify for Immigration

It would be interesting to know, and the OP hasn't told us, why he is thinking of changing to a retirement extension, paying an agent 20,000 to bribe an immigration official, when he has a perfectly good marriage extension for half the financial requirement and no agent/bribe fee to pay. Surely paying 20,000 (and circumventing the law) rather than 'suffering' one day of inconvenience and providing a few forms and a bank letter isn't worth 20,000? But each to their own, I suppose. Some people have money to burn.
Firstly it's not a bribe-its payment for a service and secondly-some of us cannot attend Immigration due to ill health

Setting fire to the forest is NOT sustainable agriculture. Last year the hills were ablaze everywhere!

Semantics and word games, there is a near universal definition of what is a Tax Resident which has no bearing or relationship on or with Immigration status or lack of..
Except HMRC definition places me as tax resident in the UK as I had tax relief on my pension contributions which I must pay back as I receive my pension payments. Can't be tax resident in more than one country!

Problem is crop burning not vehicle exhaust. Need to make crop buyers liable not individual farmers

Applied am-approved pm same day.
Jomtien seems to sign off before they finish work

No parking anywhere and the few toilets that exist are filthy. However if it keeps Bankokians away from Jomtien then yes!!!

Yes, but they added a question about CRS.
They say everybody has to fill in the form, Thais too.
The funny thing is that in this form it is not possible to state that one is a foreigner, but a tax resident only in Thailand. But that is actually the normal way things are, if a foreigner lives in Thailand.
Only Americans are always subject to tax in their home country.
Not so.
I pay full income tax on my pensions in the UK despite living in Thailand. UK has a dual tax treaty with Thailand.

If you collect all the credit advices from BB you can present them back to BB for your annual statement and they will provide the immigration documents immediately

That's why I have opened an account with Wise in case my UK bank closes my account despite having a UK address

Even if you do select they can still move you. I picked 3 seats together for family reserving an aisle seat for me and they bounced me to a window seat in order to give my seat to an 'ill' passenger. Won't be traveling Eva Air again!

Obviously some income streams like state pensions may be exempt but private pensions would seem to be fair game, even if they've already paid tax on the income in their home countries.
Use of agents would become universal!

With the state of Thai driving footpaths and roads walking is a highly hazardous pastime especially if you finish up in hospital with an exorbitant bill!

Whose going to enforce?
Bank or SIM provider? Never managed to activate facial recognition with Krungsri. They didn't know what to do. BB recognition works intermittently.
Who is going to trawl through SIM Nos and Account Nos to find a lack of matches. In fact they are looking for a needle in a haystack. Only way they can enforce this is to apply it on initial account application including mobile app set up which is quite enough to stop mule accounts.
Just like the retrospective tightening up of tax on incoming transfers this is yet another example of floating an idea to see if it will fly!
