Anybody have experience of getting a stair lift fitted in Pattaya? Not interested in through floor lifts! Just the ones that ride up existing stairs. Companies that fit them and approximate cost would be helpful. We have the usual double flight stair so it would need to go round 3 corners at bottom mezzanine and top. Wife just wants to move my bed to the ground floor but I see that as one step closer to the temple!

I always collect Credit Advices from BB for all my transfers. Better safe than sorry. Never had a problem using Wise which always shows as a FTT in my BB passbook.

Best not to paint in the first place as you will need to keep doing it and repainting will be a big job and not last as long as first coat

The visa validity is unrelated to the expiry date of your passport. You cannot transfer the visa to the new passport, you will need to carry old and new passports when traveling/doing a border run.

Visa validity will be till your passport expiry date. If you want 1 yr extension you must have 1 yr on your passport 

I'm sure customs and a courier will double the fee! Always best to buy in Thailand

Used Wise for nearly 10 yrs and never had a transfer in seconds!  I always  plan for a next day receipt also allowing for w/e and holidays .  I think Thai banks slow things down.

For a few days now we can't book a home food delivery from Pattaya and Jomtien with Grab. It started on the fireworks festival and has not resumed. Usually several houses in our village get deliveries every evening and now we don't see any. Possibly the riders are restricting themselves to central Pattaya so they can get more deliveries in and earn more money? Anyone else experiencing this problem? We try at least 3 restaurants and eventually give up!

Ford have a nasty habit of ducking responsibility and the maintenance of older models to try to get you to upgrade just like iPhone.  Also Ford have far to many recalls for faults.  Stick with your  Toyota!

You aren't locked in to an agent  if you follow the  financial  rules in full and can prove it.  I use the monthly FTT as evidence but my agent only wants to see my bankbook- no discount  offered.  With mobility problems I just can't manage the trips to the bank with covid queuing in the sun outside plus covid queuing outside and then inside Immigration exposing me to infection and considerable discomfort. With my agent I don't even have to go anywhere  near Immigration!
