Wimbledon 2025: Where to watch in LOS
Wimbledon proper is due to start on 30 June and will finish on 13 July this year. I've been looking into paid options as reliability and quality are more important. According to the Wimbledon website. The only options for Thailand are TrueVisions and SPOTV. I only need it for the duration so True is out. SPOTV is cheap (฿89 / month for full package or ฿129 / year for tennis package) but very bad reviews on the Play Store. Of course, there's always the option of iPlayer + VPN but I've been out of the loop for the last year so don't know which ones still work / aren't detected. I'd be prepared to shell out for one of the more expensive ones, for just a month, if guaranteed to work. Where will you be watching it this year? 🤔

King's Cross Station: Police Officer tells Christians to stop preaching the gospel
They do in the UK. Mosques have to apply to the local council for a permit and follow the regulations regarding volume, time of day, duration etc.

King's Cross Station: Police Officer tells Christians to stop preaching the gospel
Another misleading 'Gotcha' headline. They were using amplifying equipment in a busy, public area which is illegal in the UK without a permit.

Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Same here but 1993...good for another 20 years 😂

Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Misleading headline and misleading article. 🤔 Written tests are not yet mandatory and the article confuses IDP with home country driving licence. Tourists can still legally drive with home licence and IDP as before.

Thailand Tightens Rules for Foreign Drivers: Tests Now Mandatory
Very doubtful they'll get an NES to proof read it. It'll end up like the old teaching licence test (which I passed BTW) with garbled translation, subjective answers and questions with no / multiple correct answers.

Yes because you'll be a licensed teacher in the UK. Once registered with the General Teaching Council (GTC), you'll get a GTC / TRN number.

JAPAN - Prof dr Yasufumi MURAKAMI: "The more doses you get, the sooner you’re likely to die"
On one of the graphs y-axis is the Chinese character 人 which means 'person'. Japanese has 3 systems of characters, which is why I'll never attempt to learn it, with one of them based on Chinese characters (kanji).

JAPAN - Prof dr Yasufumi MURAKAMI: "The more doses you get, the sooner you’re likely to die"
...or "The sooner you are likely to die, the more doses you get" Did they control for age? 🤔 If not, it's highly likely that older people, being a more vulnerable group, were more likely to be vaccinated or receive multiple shots and, obviously, are more likely to die than younger people. Also, was the vaccine compulsory for everyone in Japan? If not, younger people would be less likely to want or need it.

Talkers are more articulate than doers, because that is all they do.

Donald Trump's use of English found to be at 4th grade level and below in some analyses.
For a native speaker of the American dialect, spawned from the bastard child of the Empire, his grasp of the English language is quite impressive.

Thailand's Tourism Industry Faces Pivotal Moment as Arrivals Decline
I suppose all the world's worst scammers holiday in these countries: Australia, 12 month tourist visa UK, 6 month tourist visa US, 6 month tourist visa Canada, 6 month tourist visa EU, 90 day tourist visa How can people from poor countries get the time off and have enough money to visit rich countries for that long, when the people from those rich countries can't get enough time off visit Thailand for 60 days?

Thailand's Tourism Industry Faces Pivotal Moment as Arrivals Decline
He may be referring to the fact that Chinese citizens need permission from the CCP to leave the country. There's a reason their immigration dept is called the 'Entry and Exit Bureau'. Possible but unlikely. Probably more to do with the problems in the Chinese economy at the moment due to 'you know what' by 'you know who' and other reasons alluded to here.

Thailand Launches Aggressive Campaign to Eradicate Dengue Fever
Sorry, it wasn't Brazil. That trial involved genetically engineered mosquitoes. It was actually New Jersey, USA 😂 https://journals.plos.org/plosone/article?id=10.1371/journal.pone.0108504

Thailand Launches Aggressive Campaign to Eradicate Dengue Fever
Typical Thai response...reactive not proactive. Brazil once trialled a new initiative in one of its major cities. Police patrolled the city, ordering people to cut down vegetation and remove breeding grounds like plant pots full of water. This worked very quickly because mosquitoes are territorial so don't stray further than a few 'blocks'. Unfortunately, the trial finished and people went back to their own habits so the mosquitoes returned just as quickly.
