The TGIA insurers that can provide thai IO-approved health-insurance policies, only cater for those retirees over 75 years of age that subscribed to such policy before reaching that age.
Thank you.

I'm a Brit. I had 2 very good farang friends here for many years, an Aussie and an American, sadly both now dead. I have 1 very good Thai friend, and for 35 years one very good, very lovely Thai wife. I count my blessings.

They were so popular in the UK and all over the world. They have thrown it all away. Time to grow up, fast.

Is there no health insurance at all, anywhere, available for the over 75s ? I assume not, but just wondered if there may be.

I hope they do that. And I hope they will get lots of new corona cases. Because maybe then, finally, will some of those Trump supporters understand that there is a reason for the closures.
But then again, these people shut their eyes for 3 years so there is not much hope they will wake up anytime soon.
The lockdown policy is a disaster and will hurt the lives and livelyhoods of millions all over the world for many years. Mass infection, brutal as it is, is the only way to go.

Agree with many of the foregoing comments, although I reckon Trump will easily win in November.

The killing and eating of animals by humans is disgusting, demeaning, cruel and unhealthy.

Bye, bye. Don't come back.

No chance. Large published reserves, massive hidden reserves. Nobody in high places gives a toss about tourism, which is only a relatively small part of the Thai economy.

Media driven madness. 600,000 people die in the UK every year, while 700,000 are born. Should have been herd immunity, allowing mass infection, from day one.

I doubt that the Baht will be going downhill as all other economies are just as badly off, the status quo will remain as it is.
Agreed. The baht won't be declining much, if at all. Thailand is in much better shape than it was in earlier crises. It doesn't have large loans in foreign currencies, and it's reserves, also in baht, are substantial.

Good move. Vast majority of Americans will approve. WHO is an appalling money pit and contributes nothing to the wellbeing of the world's people. All take and no give.

Good for you. Be careful though. There will be a backlash. Your government's loyalty is to Beijing, not to you.

Some years ago I was told by an immigration officer at Soi Suan Phlu, Sathorn that if I ever got sick they would come to my house to complete formalities. However, that was when our relationship with the authorities was far friendlier than it is today.

I still want to know the name of the smart ass, puerile, idiot farang who turned down the offer of a mask from Anutin in front of an assembled crowd and on TV. A lot of trouble has come our way as a result.

Good move....and a vote winner. At this point I can't see anything other than a big win for Trump come November.

.....or lower if you subtract those who recovered, and those who would have died from other causes anyway. Broadcasting and print media not interested. They just want panic.
