Ridiculous. Do you seriously think your questions would achieve anything ? They are a total waste of time, and will most likely make things a lot worse. I don't know how long you have lived in East Asia, but you certainly have a lot more to learn about how things work around here. Starting point is to understand that the appearance, behaviour and manners of westerners in Thailand has deteriorated beyond belief over the last 20 years or so, resulting in a loss of respect from the Thai side. Very sad, and all down to cheap air travel.

In over 30 years I have never had any problems with Thai Immigration. You are stirring up trouble for no good reason.

Don't do this unless you are specifically asked to do so. I have just been through the process. TM30 never mentioned. Don't be panicked by all the scaremongering on this and other news outlets.

Your 'agent' is entirely wrong. Just completed my 90 day report at CW. TM30 not involved in any way whatsoever.

Just don't say anything more on this issue. It's already headlined in today's Bangkok Post which is a potential disaster and may well make things very much worse. 

If I've said it once I've said it a hundred times, go the 800k route and don't use an agent.

No more so than in any other country. 

Forget the marriage route. Just put 800k baht into a local bank and relax. 

No problem with retirement extension based on 800k at CW this year or previous 30 years plus, and no complaints regarding service.

Yes.

Never been near an agent in over 30 years. You should stay above board and do it yourself.

Never gone near an agent in over 30 years including this year, and never had any problem at CW or, previously, Sathorn.

No, never been asked for TM30 or yellow book for retirement extension at CW either this year or in 30 plus preceding years.

800k by far and away the easier option if you can afford it.

I didn't encounter any of these problems this year at CW, or in previous years at CW and, before that, Sathorn.
