my ideal car modified for 2024(would have to be imported new,i suppose) VW T Roc R ....Take it to stage1 or 2. and you would have one helluva car/compact suv/luxury performance. But the price is likely to be prohibitive when comparing it to the forthcoming Zeekr X,Volvo EX 30.Neither are partcularly "beautiful".Nor is a toyota yaris GR...Deepal s06 is a beauty but too slow(hence would be a great remap project)....have i missed anything?

Khao San Road in a Frenzy as Authorities Crack Down on Laughing Gas
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
as soon as it reappears - let's report it to the police station and take photos for the bangkok post.Any inaction by the police would suggest that they are on the payroll. And therefore shouldl face dismissal. That is about the only way to handle it...we need to demand better policing -
Thailand Faces Economic Question: China and EV Cars
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
it must be hard trying to figure out why 300 % tax on cars is negatively affecting the economy. I would like to introduce mini EV's to my villa guests ,for safety reasons.all the poor fisherman who have taken up taxi driving- keep mowing down the tourists when they are not selling drugs. But the thai govt double the price of EV's so instead of being a manageable $5k...it is now $12k.And this is to protect the economy not the tourist???? i think thailand has its priorities all wrong.we have sunshine - we have access to cheap solar panels ....but you subsidise diesel? -
Luxury Porsche worth over 10 million baht catches fire in Bangkok
DTL2014 replied to snoop1130's topic in Bangkok News
i thought foam was the appropriate extinguisher for electrical fires? can we assume the fire services know the correct procedures for how to deal with an EV fire? -
yes i use it - on account of the fact that when i upgraded my IP14-15 , i assumed that the back up would carry my Line and whatsapp accounts over .They didnt.and now line and wh want me to register a new number in order to activate the service. anyone actually tried to contact wh or line ? impossible!

unfairly saddled with security costs means that the costs would have to be higher than the hotel expenses for him and his entourage or running a palace or a castle.Perhaps the solution is a one off purchase by King Charles of a suitable Hotel for Harry when he visits. Then, when this situation arises in the future , as it is bound to ...we have a ready made solution for spare royal actors. A new name will have to found for this hotel ..i'll get the ball rolling..Harridges,The Royal Enfield(play on words ..get on your(indian) motorbike bike plus harry enfield uk comic..)

Thaksin Advised Against Exerting Excess Behind-The-Scenes Power
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Perhaps he is politically motivated..if he wants to be involved but is prohibited from politics - maybe he should get a hair cut and don the saffron robes.A man of his talents still has something left to give - give us your spirititual understanding- not your chinese state plans -
Yes -just sorted this out myself. AAA legal services in bangkok did the paperwork .but i did have to pay travel expenses to koh samui twice.we had 4 mediation sessions and then a separation agreement was signed.Visitation can be detailed and its legally enforceable. i paid for her house lumpsum and do the maintenance monthly. good luck - and be fair is the advice i was given.we werent married ...

Also since Durian is classed as an offensive weapon - imbibing alcohol at the same time could lead to mis calculations..

Poll Reveals Majority of Thais Back Reclassifying Marijuana as Illegal
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
actually i kind of agree with you Andre, regarding Kratom....some burmese workers have experienced black outs from continued use of kratom .Its addictiveness comes from attaching to opioid receptors in the brain (like heroin) even though its an alkaloid, its behaves like an opioid.Definitely not for long term use then. -
Poll Reveals Majority of Thais Back Reclassifying Marijuana as Illegal
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
No one was asked in our district. These figures look doubtful - i suppose it depends who you ask. I wouldnt mind betting that if these same people were asked about Taksin's return would say - he has served his time.He hasnt . And if you make marijuana illegal - i'm afraid Taksin will have to leave again or face jail . Anyone following politics for the last 20 years will know how Taksin operates .He cosy's up to the police and makes sure they get their noses in the trough .This is the real reason for the about turn on marijuana. He does this to funnel money up so he can buy votes at each election then populist policies with the surplus cash to make out he is returning the cash to the people. He is a con man. Only con men run away like he did ...if he thinks he is above the law - look at the hoo ha over appointing his ex lawyer to cabinet post. Clearly he is pulling the strings again ....Sretta needs to assert his authority and keep Taksin out of sight and out of mind.Him retiring you should have been a condition of his return. He has broken those conditions.. -
Assault Victim Seeks Justice in Bangkok Nightclub Attack
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Bangkok News
you need to make a claim against his employers - who are probably paying the police ...now you see the problem don't you. -
Terrible news - what is the main reason for this?.Anutin for the top spot! also i would like to see some data - who knows what influenced this decision made in private .Perhaps people were visiting the hospitals less and income dropped off for the police is my best guess plus Taksin's return?i dont think it has been in place long enough yet- give it another 2 years and then check the health data.

Thailand Enters Low Tourism Season: Hopes Rest on Chinese Visitors
DTL2014 replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
doesnt have to ....but if you prefer cosying up to china go for it. we already know we can plug the gap with wealthy europeans if you simply book the entertainers of the countries you are trying to reach - its not rocket science. -
i think you are right to ask this question : because a marriage would signify 50-50 split of property . i've had friends tell me that in italy or france your wife can have an affair , and if you have kids ..then she would get the house.and you have to move out .That's pretty tough but it does obviously take into account the welfare of the woman and kids.It ignores that one member of the relationship might be using the property as a signifcant part of their investment make up .. Making marriage almost a certain financial disaster or worse -mental anguish leading to health complications..marriage is a contract...if it is to survive ..then pre nup is a pre agreed solution to how to carve up the assets in the event of a separation or divorce.break it down to whats mine, whats hers ,whats ours..is how i understand it..
