  1. Far from protecting the monachy - this will weaken it further and is only kept to control opponents.why cant they make a distinction between the LJ law and the monachy itself?everything is regulated these days ..why not the monachy?what i find unconstitional is the disbanding of a party that won the popular vote.what we learnt last week was that much money is siphoned off using corruption in Royal Projects to dupe people.Although the 2 stories arent linked - it does go to show that by critiquing an idea or testing it...does actually help to improve it.Without removing this law - no improvements.MFP was , as the voters showed - merely trying to make improvements as requested by the electorate.
  2. happens alot in Thailand - ghosts grab the steering wheel...just need a few fire crackers and a bottle of mirinda
  3. i hear that mushrooms are a good way to treat alcoholism and help repair neurons in the brain...some good documentary's on mycelium. The real crime here is the categorisation of a naturally occuring medicine by people who have no clue.
  4. That's all well and good - but now we are living in Thailand - i want to know how much they are offering for our vote ? The current rate over here is about 2500 baht but that would have to be negoiated up to reflect their ability to pay.Of course in order to vote i would have to first be recompensed for not being able to vote at the last 9 elections first..
  5. Sounds like a trip of a lifetime....it's people like this that keep the world spinning..!
  6. He gets my full support and should David Cameron's return inspire him to do the same... why not take the helm of MFP or merge the dems? They could use some experience in their team..
  7. apart from the fact that my best mate works in a large cat sanctuary (in costa Rica) and the shares i bought in ITD are now worth bugger all...i think it's time for Prem to get back to work - he may well get along with Sretta as they are both in simlilar fields of business.A few donations to cat sancturies or land purchases to safeguard corridors for these majestic beasts will demonstrate that there is a heart somewhere buried deep within that rotund exterior
  8. we need free visa for the europeans and americas too ..- then we might see some profits ..its been a long wait
  9. That's right he did accept the top job - and he was the best man for the job at the time. After the continual fraudulent actions of the red shirt govt and bought elections from leaders involved in enriching themselves on land deals.Who then held the country to ransom with their barricades in centre of bangkok.you supported that did you? because thats the main reason a military intervention had to happen.so the red shirts are just as responsible for propelling him up to the top job btw. and subsequent military party.no fake g2g contracts during his tenure..
  10. however i would like clarity on income v investment.Usually if one has a registered company , any money brought in is considered investment in the running of a thai company.
  11. i thought she was one of the good ones - certainly she was a force for good - in pathology. If she voted against Pita then i totally understand this incident.I hope the cameras are ready when she returns - we will need an explanation for the way you voted?Who you colluded with to pervert the course of democracy. All those who voted no or abstained are an obstacle for democracy. They should only be allowed to visit Russia,China,N Korea,Myanmar,Cambodia. will they release a full list of the no voters ? its going to be interesting finding out why they have put their own asses on the line - and for whom....certainly not for the benefit of the Thai people. So what is their agenda?
  12. Abhisit did not dodge the draft -.Educated at some of the UK's finest establishments it was decided that Abhisit could serve his national service by teaching at the military school. Not exactly a dodge. This way he could share the benefit of his privileged education(some of which is a bit like boot camp btw) with his compatriots.A noble endeavour if you think about it.And by the way if you look at how much <deleted> has been thrown his way - none of it stuck .Because the man has integrity, means well and the usual vices of office totally Absent.i think he served his country well and continues to do so but maybe is too ahead of his time.something to look forward to in a leader in the future.Perhaps he should join MFP and roll his sleeves up and get back stuck in.Definitely a force for good coupled with good intentions ..plus he's got experience on the world stage.Nowt wrong with Mark - i guarantee
  13. The thai people are owed justice in this case - who is denying the people justice ? What right do they have to overthrow the rule of law? can we have a complete list of who is above the law please..Does this prove the law is up for sale in Thailand? Can we have the details of the deal..the tax paying public deserve complete transparency...as this type of decision is bound to be divisive and cause more problems further down the line. Also there has been no penalty for evading justice all these years....is that the law in Thailand?
  14. ok -so we know that we might be exposed to parasites .....what's the medication that we should be taking ( say once every 3-months?)..i mean i de worm the dog...shouldnt i be doing myself just in case ??
  15. i do not see this as representing the will of the people -
  16. checked the rates today with Travel FX buy thai baht 43.60 and selling at 45.64. where did you get 44.7 from?
  17. important consumer information should not be subject to censorship - its anti good health.also govt should reduce the tax on wine - full of anti oxidants - but put the tax up on lao kao...also the logos for drinking water are the same as beer - which makes this particular law ineffective.will the authorities just admit that they are trying to protect the market from new entrants - so the big boys can retain their monopoly.Free market for free people - Good luck Artid !
  18. some people have a really hard time visiting a beach and then doing nothing...
  19. what a sad and depressing story - how does the commanding officer respond? 257 sleeves x 200 = 51400 cigs .Fine is approx .... ?baht per cigarette..(double if you are in uniform).Total this amount and give to each families relatives - make every barracks pay something, as an example to other barracks.
  20. if he continues to attack Anutin - i think charges of ill gotten gains
  21. i have this problem too -do you think Lazada knows about it?
  22. that's great news and a huge step forward for tolerance in a Muslim nation.are you watching Qatar?
  23. i wonder if there are grounds for the russian to apply for asylum ? he could be sent back to a life or death situation which is also illegal...
  24. does he want to continue as it is ? a very poor place for investment leads to 3rd world conditions...
  25. it's not enough to just say he was unusually rich...i think the public is right to ask how he acquired this money...and whether the same structure still exists for his replacements ? it's worth noting that the koh tao murders would have taken place during his tenure of region 8. Without knowing where the money came from, further charges have been avoided. That doesn't sound right to me...if he is guilty of being unusually rich - it stands to reason that many laws would have had to be broken to get to that point.
