  1. See those boats in the background? I bet Andy has... It would be easy for the cops to identify those vessels and talk to everyone on board because it is vital.

who is the dirty looking scumbag on the left that looks like he's been sleeping rough for a week

The dirty scumbag who never slept that night, whom spent the early hours running up and down the soi in a very agitated state.

  2. The Witheridge family said police and the court should be allowed to do their jobs during the coming months.

"Speculation, rumor and theory have been incredibly hurtful to our family and Hannah's friends, making an already unthinkable time harder to bear," said the family.

yes and yours being some of the worst

After the RTP's disgusting behaviour in issuing a press statement allegedly from Her Majesty's representative in Bangkok that stated he was delighted with the investigation in to this crime and the subsequent very angry denial by the said British Ambassador, I would take any statement issued by the RTP with utter contempt.

At the end of this trial the two families will have there say, and I would imagine it will not shed Thailand in a positive light.

  3. The theory of why weren't the bodies of the victims dumped at sea, maybe because of the shear arrogance of the persons involved.

I still believe whom ever did this crime has killed and raped before, and believed possibly correctly that they are above the law.

Another thing, after living in Thailand many years, I have never seen Thai's fight one to one.....it's always many people against 1..... Like a pack of dogs fighting.

David had no chance if and when he went to help Hannah, those animals would have attacked him on mass. He has a young, fit man, but that's not enough when you are outnumbered.

  4. Those are some interesting scenarios above. However, shortly after the murders took place, I asked, if the locals were involved, why did they not just get a long-tail boat, some rope, and a bunch of heavy cement blocks and dump the weighted-down bodies way out in the gulf.

The answer was generally: Too many people would know.

    Oh well, ...

Could be something to do with brain power, but some dooooo know about cash power eh...coffee1.gif

Yes however if you ask who may be likely to murder two UK tourists and leave the bodies near the front porch of a Kho Tao family's business one might say such persons might be those from one of the other four families on the island.

    Great theory, but,,,,,,,

Too simple, too clever, this is Thailand after all

  5. Well he is 66......so with any luck , around ten or so more years from now he wont matter anymore.

But little "oak" will be big "oak" and take over the business....just as you thought things could not get any worse!

  6. It says a lot about certain persons on this site, who are not only happy to see two innocent men put to the sword, but they also want to accuse them and there fellow countrymen of been drug crazed ,murdering rapists.

Keep the pressure up ladies and gentleman, the real character of the people defending the real perpetrators of this crime is showing through.

There desperation is incredible and there lack of morals is telling.

Drugs indeed......maybe this really is at the heart of this tragedy.....but the drugs lords are been protected.......

  7. The purpose of prosecuting B2 was to create a diversion. That strategy has worked perfectly as evidenced by the 119 pages of articles and posts that precede this one.

Those in control of this farce know that when B2 are found guilty later this year, the decision will be very poorly received by expats and the Western media.

But, guess what, they don't care.

In fact if the Burmese are found guilty and executed there will be mass parties in the Government buildings in Bangkok and in Koh Tao.

I can see the General and Police Chief holding a joint press conference congratulating themselves and telling the world about Thai justice.

    Evil and sickening thought!

  8. This guy is an absolute moron and is the Police Chief. If the PM is serious about decreasing Thailand's horrendous road toll, this general will be called in and severely reprimanded and forced to go through attitude adjustment. He has shown he is an arrogant, egotistical little man who thinks he is above the law, he is in control of. LOS....no wonder the world simply laughs out loud.

Severely reprimanded? he should de hung, drawn and quartered by the General and on live TV, them maybe the Boys in Brown might wake up.

  9. Also what the TV armature sleuths who seem to want to pin this on the Scottish guy seem to have overlooked unless David and Hannah were both lying on the ground this murder was probably committed by two or more persons.

After seeing a very gruesome crime picture of the female victim, I can say with almost total certainty, her body was "posed" by the culprits.

Someone or somebody wanted to make it appear the two victims were for a better word....intimate.

The crime scene was totally rearranged to cover up the truth and any decent crime scene officer would have seen through it in seconds,

  10. The global downturn has certainly impacted Thailand and this is another blow for its citizens.

The Junta have done a wonderful job in guiding the economy through it, but unfortunately it cannot shield the country from outside market forces.

Lets hope the economy rebounds soon.

The Junta have done a wonderful job in guiding the economy through it, but unfortunately it cannot shield the country from outside market forces. .....Please explain!

  11. This crime was carried out on a very small island.

A competent police force operating a competent investigation would have quickly solved this case.

I believe for the first week at least, crime scene apart, the police investigation was very sound and was leading to the culprits.

They were sought, arrested then.........money calls were exchanged and the investigation became a farce and more importantly...a disgrace to the nation of Thailand

  12. Have the RTP ever checked the mobile phone records of "people" of interest at the time of the murders?

It would be a very simple process to check there true location on the night.

It would be very simple. ie if you were in Bangkok at the time of the murders, it would be simpler and far cheaper than a DNA test to prove your whereabouts.

And as the RTP have publicly stated they are under severe budget restrictions...ie the victims crime scene photos are no longer available due to budget restrictions.

Depends on what information phone companies are required to retain and for how long, and whether his their phone(s) were registered.

No, it's very simple, the persons of interest have phones, the accused have phones , the victims have phones......if you have phones you have sim cards.......even Inspector Clueso could trace calls made on the said phones and also more importantly have exact locations of phones and there operators.

  13. We all know the answer to that Boris. These guys would have been crying out to prove their non-involvement and as you say there are many ways that could be done.

Lets wait with bated breath for the moment becasue maybe the defence do have some aces up their sleeves that are best kept until after the Police have said their piece.

We Do know the answer, but....

In any civilised country the defence would seek that information.

In any civilised country the Police would seek that information.

In any civilised country the press of the said country would seek that information.

In any civilised country the public would DEMAND justice.

    Is Thailand civilised...lets see.....

  15. Just to throw into the mix: When asked his views Sean MCMystery said words to the effect :

"Check which 3 people did not come to work at the *** bar the next day."

It was at this time there was much speculation about 2 bouncers at this bar, one referred to as 'shark tooth ring.'

Reports stated that they both left the island that day.

Very little has been said about them since.

    Just a reminder.

Where are they now I wonder?

Are what in Mr Big Ears Cop up to these days, never judge a book by it's cover ...BUT that's look's like one nasty, vicious and untrustworthy man.

  16. I wish the person that was supposed to have photo's of a confrontation in a bar during the evening would come forward

Looking again it was a wave, and someone carrying something, not a swing arm.

Oh what! she may have waved at someone that may be carrying something? There is possible mileage in the no 9 shirt man but not real evidence unless there is something else that connects that shirt to a person, but someone carrying what? A beer, a handbag, a phone? it can't really be helpful can it.

I wish the person that was supposed to have photo's of a confrontation in a bar during the evening would come forward

Maybe they will when the defence gets its turn. CCTV of the foreign woman running around the time of the crimes would be good too. The footage of the woman they have said could be a suspect or Hannah herself. They chose not to release that though. Any answers on why not?

not sure if it was a pattaya thing or nationwide - but all bars and nightclubs in pattaya were legally required to install cctv several years ago, why police claimed they were denied access to cctv in the head%%%% bar by Mon is another serious question that needs answered .... and the guy in the number 9 shirt looks seriously familiar as the head mans son

I understand the headmans relative has a CCTV shop a few doors away from the AC Bar.

Yet he has no cctv installed in his bar?

To have no footage from inside the AC Bar that night is plain wrong.

There were rumours of trouble and confrontation in the bar that night....where is the cctv to prove right or wrong....was it destroyed along with the No9 shirt and real murder weapon????

  17. Finally the British press have really got hold of this. I am sure another paper which has been blocked here would be keen to get in on the act. The changing of the guard is the part I would focus on if I were them.

The first guy had it all going in the right direction, then wham it all changes.

Who authorized that change, and could this person owe a favor to someone with serious political clout in that area?

How high does this really go?

Only throwing ideas around of course sad.png not making assumptions or accusations.

How high does this really go? you ask. My answer is, How high can it go? In there lies your answer.

No headman has enough influence to have all this done for his family......this is far bigger....what is hidden? something very sinister

  18. The Sun, can't think of a worse rag and carries little credibility in my eyes or most people. BUT it is the highest read tabloid in the UK with a readership of 13.5 million people every week. If there was anyone in the UK that was not aware of this case then they will be now, fantastic!!

Nice to see they added a little credibility this time by using the report published by Jonathan Samuels who was actually at the trial and has first hand accounts

The hole is getting deeper by the day for Thailand and the RTP, and its great to see, just a tragedy the murders of 2 young people had to start it.
