Band of brothers is superb I have watched it three times. It starts during the training of Easy company at boot camp and progresses right up to their occupation of Berchtesgaden and the Obersalzberg area. There are several individual stories running not least the one about Major Richard Winter journey through the ranks whilst he heads up his band of brothers.

Yes the IMDB reviews are really dragging the number down, no way can it be compared to Band of Brothers which is what people are doing, but for a WW2 military historian like myself who lived in UK and have read every book and publication about the Mighty Eighth Army Air Force also visited many of the old airfields in East Anglia, Norfolk and Suffolk it is a most interesting well made movie but that does not make it an entertaining story, I view it more as a tribute to those boys but it is not for everybody.
