What has repair cost got to do with reliability? That's two totally different shoes.
It gives buyers two different angles, the apparently most reliable is not the cheapest to repair when it does go wrong.

head in the toilet? this man did not die well, but then again who does.
You must have had your head in the toilet when you were reading the OP if that's what you think, or did you just want to make your usual unpleasant and insensitive comment?

Another Maslow masterpiece of photographic irrelevance. If you haven't got picture relating to the incident don't bother, a stock photo of a gun is laughable. Why not show a stock photo of "a vehicle" or "a motorcycle", that would be just as useful.

Yes but this is still a very poor piece of reporting
Makes little sense
The report is very easy to understand, nothing poor about the reporting of what was known at the time.
Makes perfect sense.

they charge 120 baht in pattaya, not sure that is what thai pays, but long way from 90 baht.
Did you read the OP?
-
Why so expensive with such as crappy first prize that is fixed anyway? Or did I just answer my own question?
30,000,000 baht is a crappy prize in Thailand? You really think so? You're nuts.

Are there any reports about the govt that don't start with " The PM ... " ?
He's the complete one man band and running everything so does he really need the whole NCPO or are they there simply to take the blame if something goes wrong as i don't see him admitting he erred in any way.
Is there something wrong with the Prime Minister running the government and it's associated activities?

He said all the workers there would be interrogated and I am assuming that there are other Burmese workers in this factory. Police source said a Thai worker, Weerachai Saithong, had disappeared from the shelter.
The Thai guy is clearly a clear suspect but still they insist on checking the Burmese workers anyway. after all........................................................................ a Thai wouldn't do something like this. How much you wanna bet they check the Burmese first and the Thai workers (if any) last?
It is disturbing that even though there is a clear suspect who is Thai, the BIB can't accept the obvious. I may be wrong but I very much doubt it.
There was no mention of Burmese workers at all in the OP, you are the one that brought up that subject.
It's more disturbing that some posters cannot, or choose not to, read and make assumptions that the gullible on here will hook on to and perpetuate the misinformation that you are trying to spread.

Perhaps transmitting the GPS coordinates of the injured tourist and sending in a chopper to evac her didn't come to mind...
Perhaps your reading the OP didn't come to mind...

No, old man, you went wrong in your life.
There is no excuse, “I don’t want them to worry about me”.
I'm nearly your age, but I never lost contact with my children and grandchildren.
You give them love and you will take it back tenfold from them.
You ignore them and you will be ignored.
Put a sock in it, Costas, you know nothing about this man and you are not in a position to judge him.

Why didn't the EOD Unit use a robot to investigate the suitcase than risking human injury or death?
The Nation 2014-09-01
"Cheaper domestically developed bomb defusing and disposal robots are set to be used by the Explosives Ordnance Disposal unit in the strife-torn far South thanks to a development project by King Mongkut's University of Technology North Bangkok. The Thailand Research Fund backed the three-year-old Bt4.36-million project. The university recently handed over the three prototypes to the Royal Thai Army's Ordnance Department so it could test them out.
Asst Prof Pumyos Vallikul, an engineering and aerospace lecturer at the university, said the development of the robots was based on the Explosives Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit's in-the-field methods."
Maybe there are still only 3 prototypes. Like, what's the hurry?
Why didn't you read the report instead of risking the derision you deserve? They did examine the case remotely.
The task was completed successfully but why not have a go at a little lame Thai bashing even when congratulations clearly are in order.
-
The EOD unit, wearing full protective gear, approached the suitcase and carefully opened it.
Good Luck to them, they are real professionals.
Just somebody tell them that in the other world, they don't try to open an abandoned suitcase but they blow it up under controled conditions.
But this is Thailand.......they know better..........
Someone needs to tell you that you are obviously not an EOD professional; the real ones, in the real world, did a good job. And they certainly know better than you.
-
Is this EOD device from the same factory as the famous electronic drugs and bomb detectors?
Why do you see the need to take the piss out of a successful operation?

Look at the pic again, left hand drive bus? Wrong side of the road for Thailand? Or is it just me being picky?
YES------ IT'S YOU BEING PICKY-------------- Ever heard of "Humour"
PS How the hell can you see which side the driver is sitting------------------------ Some of you guys amaze me
Thai bashing isn't humourous.

He's just one of the not so bright Thai-bashers.

Here's an idea, now that you have no animals to care for, how about stray dogs that were rescued
from the cooking pots? there are many thousands of them looking for a good home,
and what home can be better than the pious people of a temple? no? not a good idea?
right... no money to be made there with dogs...
Better to feed the dogs to the tigers, 2 problems solved.

One might think Pattaya is short on crime, time might be better spent chasing up and arresting others instead of holding press conference.
One might think that you think that those four officers posing in the photo are the only officers in the Pattaya force. There are plenty of others 'chasing up and arresting' other offenders.

That article could have been written with one sentence. The actually, very simple, warning did not come until halfway through the article. I found it interesting we had to read the name of the radio station several times before getting to the actual warning.
And your post would have been written better with no sentences or words at all.
The warning was in the headline and the first paragraph.
-
What is the problem with you all?
They are issuing a sensible warning to people ( I've seen many with plastic bags around their necks) and you are taking the piss.
I think you all need serious help, more than the ones that are going to loose their belongings with the plastic bag.
Taking the piss?
That's another good warning.
What is IN that Songkran throw water?!?
<deleted> Costas, '...lose their belongings...."
It's so ironic, someone correcting another poster's English is moronic enough to use an expletive in that same post.

"His relatives told police that Jeng drank and then swam in the reservoir and disappeared at about 0:30am Monday.""His relatives called for help from rescuers who searched and found the body in the reservoir at 3 pm."14 hours 30 min"Suriya was alerted of the accident at 4:30 pm and he rushed to the scene with a doctor from the Tha Kradan Hospital."16 hours"The doctor did not find any trace of foul play on his body. The doctor concluded that the man drowned and died about ten hours earlier."
Why try to find fault in everything that is reported?
The doctor's opinion was at that stage was just an estimation and what we read here is a translation so he could have meant that "the man died at least 10 hours earlier".

Pity the poor lowly security guard who tries to stop a drunk, wet Thai hi-so with a loaded water gun.
I'm sure the over 60 applies to foreigners as well - a year and a half ago, the staff at one MRT station told me I was eligible fo the elderly discount. (That blew out the bleeding ego )
I don't know if the free travel applies to foreigners, but the MRT does give the over 60 discount to everyone, unlike the BTS who operate a racist Thai-only policy. I did write to BTS asking how they justified the discrimination and - well, you know. They didn't reply because they couldn't justify it.
They didn't reply because they couldn't stop laughing at the pathetic farang who actually went to the trouble to write to them ( if you really did that) whingeinging about not being able to save a bit of loose change for three days and who expected a non-state Thai company to justify one of their policies to him.

How can there be no charges after seeing this cowardly prick attacking a defenceless cop from behind. Even after the two females prise him away he still hits the cop, (probably unconcious by that stage) with the rock as he lays prone on the ground. It made me sick seeing the footage of this vermin. I hope this piece of crap meets his makers over Songkran if he gets pissed and rides a motorbike. Rot in hell if you do pond life.
No charges? Can't you read?

So just how does a person do something like that and get a video of himself doing it on his own phone unless it was planned? Kind of shoots holes in the "I didn't know what I was doing because I was drunk" excuse
Yes, it's not like his mates could send the video to his phone.
