Sorry but it won't happen. In order to amend the Constitution, it is required to have the agreement of at least one third of the Senate and at least 20% of MPs from each political party.
https://prachataienglish.com/node/9086
So the next Senate will be selected by committees and panels (in which representatives of agencies will hold the majority of votes). Who will select these committees? The EC, which has been selected by the NCPO.
So a constitutional amendment then?

Make everyone happy:

The country's respective jantas have had family like relations for a long time. In fact a few years ago supreme puppet master Prem even adopted the Burmese leader.

Now they are caught between a rock and a hard place because Biden is also calling out China. The right can't keep their ducks in a row for tripping over their talking points.
Meanwhile while petty politics is being played out by both sides of the American spectrum Rome burns. Won't be long before the greenback loses reserve currency status and China becomes the world's largest economy.

I really do not think Prayut has the trust that Prem had. The election results couldn't be much worse for the Privy Council's aims. There will be interesting times ahead. Two very powerful forces are about to collide

More nonsense from this kangaroo court. Prosecutors being charged according the their shirt colour? If Suthep wasn't deserving of criminal charges over his treasonous actions to overthrow democracy in Thailand than no one was. Tables will soon be turned.

Up until the end of Fawlty Towers (1979) he was great but what has he done since then that was any good?
He is into his 80's now and well past his, great, then prime time!
My plea to him would be;
"Please don't spoil our great image of you by coming back in a flop of a production!"
He wrote and starred in A Fish Called Wanda, which was brilliant, a decade after that.

Would this apply to the many foreign workers Trump employs at his numerous properties? If so it could get a boost in support from some unlikely Republicans in the House.

True, Trump was a con man before becoming president. Problem was he brought those same traits to the Oval Office.

There's none so blind (or delusional) as those who cannot see.
See how quickly you resort to abuse for 'argument' when you find an opinion you disagree with.
Left wing, right wing, Pravda wing... what kind of government do you call Trudeau's utterly Soviet style where protest/dissidence is cowardly squashed by freezing people's bank accounts?
The guy ran down our country and gov. Just a little of his own medicine. Downtown Ottawa was shutdown for weeks. Where else would that be tolerated???? When a similar American KKKonvoy attempted the same in Washington they were kept outside the city. Over 1,000 have been either charged or prosecuted over Jan 6. The only reason the Yellow Shirts got away with it in BKK was the royalist establishment and military had their back.

As a Canadian besides myself there are thousands of citizens leaving every year since the current gov't has taken over. There's more democracy in Thailand even under military rule.Canada has turned into a sh____le.Have a peek at who Canada is importing these days.
Thanks for leaving. The more rightwing nut jobs that we can be rid of the better.
As for the visa change hopefully this is a stepping stone to full visa on arrival status for all Thai people visiting one of the greatest countries on earth, The Great White North, Canada.

We? Speak for yourself. i could care less what you think. but you obviously care about what i think or yoj would not have typed such a boring long winded post. so, go back to your beloved premier. just cos he won 3 times dont make him good, it just shows that the opposition sucks more
I am a social démocrate so would never vote Liberal Party. My NDP hold the balance of power and are doing a great job in getting some great legislation passed. You are right about the Cons sucking.

i dont, but i care about the hypocrisy of my country. canada keeps trying to show a holier than thou image of itself when in fact it is a shatty place to live. taxation without representation, quebec's ministers just voted themselves a 30% salary increase but fail to give teacers 3%. i dont want to go there anymore cos i am going off topic. but fact is, canada should give this guy life without possibility of parole in a max security prison rather than send him back here
We don't miss you. What's really going on? The French kids take your lunch money @ school? As for Justin he has won 3 elections in a row. His government just banned war weapons for sale, increased pension benefits for retirees over 70 and enacted a child dental program. The Trump wannabe leading the Cons, a climate change denier, has zero chance of beating him next election.
Canadian media reported that the Royal Thailand Embassy gave the Canadian federal Minster of Justice, a Quebecer, written assurances that the death penalty was not to be applied if found guilty.
The accused served 9 years in the Canadian army, special forces, including a tour in Afghanistan. Then worked as a mercenary in Syria and Iraq. It's being speculated that he was a professional hit man. Who knows how many assassinations he got away with.

LBJ announced he would be withdrawing in late March 1968. That timeline is almost 10 months from now. I expect the same from Biden. Any sooner makes him a long time lame duck. That's if he can make it that long.

The old country leadership has in fact been voted out, but they have difficulties in understanding and accepting this democratic process. On the contrary. Now all sorts of tricks are being used to sabotage the will of the majority of the population.
They certainly do understand what democracy is about and want no part of it. Their wish is to take Thailand back to pre-1932.
