Expats with 800,000/ 400,000 deposits in Thai banks already have insurance. Why would they need more?

It's a tracking device. Criminals released from prison have to go on probation and report to their probation officer at predetermined times and ask permission to move from their normal home address. They see All us foreigners as criminals in residing in their country. Why is there no tracking of Thai criminals?

Is the similar to Luck You bar still open? You used to get scratch cards every time you bought a drink and if your number came up you could get a freebie from one of the girls. If I Remember rightly it was run by an American guy. The problem with the system was that by the time you hit ( I never did ) the jackpot you were too out of it to make it to the staircase.

40,000 Baht for out patent cover 400,000 Baht for inpatient cover. Total 440,000 Baht. Money on deposit at a Thai Bank for a retirement extension 800,000 Baht. Why would I need medical insurance? I already have it. I always thought the money on deposit was to guarantee medical expenses?

Can any one clarify?
I have two pension incomes.
One a British State pension. One an off shore pension. My State pension is paid to me into my U.K. bank weekly and transferred to my Thai Bank Monthly. My off shore pension is transferred directly to my Thai Bank directly every 3 months.( 4x/ year ). On its own my monthly transfer of my State pension does NOT meet the requirements of a retirement extension. However when the total 12 payments are added to the 4 quartly payments from the transfer of my off shore pension and this figure is devided by 12, I more than need meet the requirement for an extension. In Short I receive into my Thai bank every year more than 800,000 Baht. Is this acceptably?
PS. There is no way I can change the payment frequency of the Off shore pension to monthly.

I am glad your bank allows direct deposits to Thailand. My pension providers and there are 4 of them do NOT do foreign direct deposits My point being there are many ways to prove income- and the Police Order indicates using the income method does not need be sent to a Thai bank. You only need to be able to access it and prove the source amount That's what a debit card is for if you want to pay the fees.
The BE Embassy can do what they want but their lack of understand of the Thai Imm system and their inability to communicate effectively with the Thai authorities is what has led to this uproar.
The DWP have an international department for the transfer of pension income. I deposit my State pension into my U.K. bank account and they in turn transfer the funds to mt Thai Bank. Most international banks will transfer funds internationall for a small charge.

Immigration wont accept bank statements or a bank letter for proof of income, only for proof of the 800k deposit.
That’s not what the British Embassy said. What we need is clarification from the Thai immigration.

I don’t see what the problem is. My bank( Kasikorn ) automatically send me a email PDF statement of my account showing out goings and income from my U.K. pension providers. The only problem I can see when I go to immigration for my renewal is the acceptance of email copy statements from my bank,We all know how the Thais love signatures on documents. This being the case I have asked my bank to give me a signed letter verifying that the highlighted income on the twelve statements they sent me is accurate and true. This letter should cost no more than 100 Baht. The British embassy letter cost 2,500 Baht plus 100 Baht for EMS delivery. I love the idea and the savings it gives me.

The Singaporean Government did the same to what was once a vibrant street called Boogy Street in The capital. It changed for the worst what used to be one of the best runs ashore in South East Asia. In the 60’s.The Thai Government is determined to copy Singapore which might be the richest country in South East Asia, but also lacks a soul with its clinically clean environment.

Why, biological daughter is daughter- married or not married.
My daughter was born on Koh Samui in 2001.I was not married to her mother. She has a British passport which I have just renewed and she is also a registered British citizen. -

I have True Vision, with a recording box added. I'm reasonably satisfied with the service, but are there any other satellite service providers beaming to LOS that have additional UK, HBO and Sky services on offer? I dont want computer streaming alternatives, I have those, what I need is a Satellite TV alternative. Are there any here?
Try "tv Mucho" for uk tv 300 Baht/month. Download Kodi to your smart tv/ computer for the latest movies and sky,its free.

Only if they were married before the birth.
I fell foul of that law and it has plagued me and my daughter for the rest of our lives.

The government should remember what happened in Singapore when they tore Boogie Street down, the powers that be in Singapore realised it was a mistake and rebuilt Boogie Street but it was never the same.....There is a lesson there!!!
I remember it well. Next to Wanchai in Hong Kong one of the best runs ashore in South East Asia.

Well Yingluck obviously knew what the verdict would be. Not rocket science just "Brown Paper" bags and a well placed mole. Do they really think the general Thai population and we Farang are that stupid?
No. But then again do they care?

I don't expect the Thai farmers to react in any other way than to supprot
the person who gave them free billions of bahts...
There is no excuse to justify buying thousands of tons of rice paying inflated
prices just to manipulate the markets and for most of it to be just left there and rot away..., sure, there's is nothing in being
a commerce savvy but i need to make your homework before committing
hundreds of billions of the public's money to such folly,,
it's got so bad, that rice from neighboring counrties were sold to the government
as Thai rice, i mean how low can you go?......
Tell me a country that doesn't support its farmers with subsidies.

They will never stop using these. Every one of them cost 80 Stang to produce and every airline needs to buy them. They are printed buy the immigration police printing house and are a source of income and a means of employment. End of story.
