You don't need a new lease agreement to the 90 day report unless you have moved.

but i will have moved, so i will take my current agreement with me

just thinking.....so why bother telling them you've moved? i suppose when reporting(nb never done before) you are declaring where youre living and there may be consequences of a false declaration. Not that theyre asking for PROOF of your current address...

That said the TM 47 clearly states " i have been living in Thailand for 90 days and my present address is...." So in my case i will be able to truly state that my condo address is 'XYZ', and there's nothing on that form as to where you will be in the future. Now, at that point i suppose they may(may not) say "but we have your address(on your original applic) as somewhere different" and therefore i may have to change it then

Hopefully, as you say, the requirement for a further 6 months proof of residence does not apply for 90 day reporting

But noted re extending next year(proof of residence), yes, that makes sense

If you have changed address you should report your change of address by way of a TM28 form. The may also want a TM30 form submitted.

ok, im trying to forsee if..

    1. i need another, current, rental agreement (beyond the one i had originally which will have expired by my first report date)

    and

    2. if that agreement needs to run for a min of 6 months more (again which i wont have).

If im reading you, and the TM 28/30 forms correctly, i think youre saying that i may/may not and its dependant upon the Immigration Officer?

You need nothing more than your passport and a completed TM47 report form to do a 90 day report.

    Thanks Joe,

so looking at the TM47 online, it requires you to state your 'present address'. Sorry to labour this point but can i assume that that address can be anywhere and not necessarily the address you were at when you got your original(current) permission to stay. What im driving at is, the rental agreement i had when i successfully got my permission to stay in now no longer (necessarily) applicable.

    thanks

  4. Please move this post to another thread if appropriate, thanks

Apologies in advance not done this re-entry mullarkey before. So coming back to Hua Hin in a few weeks but NB for the first time on re entry permit. I have been told what to do re filling in arrival card with my re entry permit number and I'll assume that's simply that.

However my question relates to 90 day reporting, and specifically what is required for me to get my stamp to carry on staying(I have permission until June 2019).

So to a 'virgin' like me, have I got until that date no matter what(subject to simply showing up every 90 days) OR is that reporting stamp subject to all the paperwork(that got me the retirement visa originally) being up to date? Do I need a fresh rental agreement that has another minimum 6 months to run as at the reporting date (nb that was a specific requirement at the start and I believe it applies to Hua Hin and not other places in Thai )

    Any help appreciated thanks
  5. I didn't get that option(re notifying replied) but I've untagged this one (again!)

That might stop me getting this thread ( I'm not certain) but I still think I'll get some of the other biker posts...thanks anyway

  6. In the old and proper design one could at the top find some option to unfollow a thread. But since the whole site was turned into a weird piece of colours and half-broken html/js... I can't find it anymore.

But there seems to be a "Notify me of replies" box when you add a new comment so maybe write one more post and switch that setting and hopefully you'll be able to rest in piece [emoji846]
    Cheers will try that now...

  7. A belated thanks, I'm coming back in a month for the first time on a re-entry permit so will follow your lead! Thanks again

I have no idea what she wanted to say and what you understood.

When leaving the country you have nothing to do.

Before entering (again) you have to enter the number of the re-entry permit as the visa nr. on the departure card and best point the officer to this "stamp".

After passing the checkpoint thoroughly check that your entry stamp (ADMITTED UNTIL) shows 27 JUN 2019.

  8. Sorry lads dont mean to be rude, used to to be a biker myself(VFR 750) and loved Ogri as a young man[emoji23] but..... How do I unsubscribe from these biker notifications when I'm not even tagged as following them? I'm just a boring old golf fart these days!

Thanks in advance, enjoy the bikes

  9. I chose a bank that reimburses atm fees. An internet search may answer your question and not promote my own bank.
Appreciate you don't want to name, but are we talking apples for apples here? Reimbursent of foreign atm charge 220baht or just other thai banks charging your Thai bank and getting that reimbursed?

  10. yes.  ( From Wicki;  CP All PLC was established in 1988 by the Charoen Pokphand Group. The company is the sole operator of 7-Eleven convenience stores in Thailand, which has been granted exclusive rights from 7-Eleven, Inc. to conduct business under an area license agreement.  Further; CP is owned by the Chearvanont family, Asia's 4th wealthiest family )

  11. OMG - yesterday I tried to pay for a THAI Smile air ticket in my local 7-11. The young assistants had no idea what to do even though I presented the printed booking reference given to me. So, they want to handle banking transactions..........oh dear! I eventually found an out of town 7-11 which efficiently completed the booking.
Yes, all very well offering these services but staff training is almost non existent in my experience

  12. Saw this story, wanted to post those exact same words, but you already have! [emoji23]

Do 7 not realise many customers are and will continue to go elsewhere as less queues

Its bad enough when I occasionally go in there to buy 500 baht of Tru money, the place grinds to a standstill

Recipe for disaster, the pilot will crash

like queues at most 7's aren't slow enough as it is

  13. Sorry I've just changed my flight back to UK to tomorrow. I need a reentry permit but I have already paid for it and have recepit plus I have photos. Assume I just go to a different passport counter and give my passport in. What if I don't know the date I'm coming back? How long will it take approx(at 6pm)? Thanks

  14. "You will need a new letter from the bank and copies of your updated bank book. No need for proof the funds came from abroad"

    Joe,

    1. What's your interpretation of a "letter from the bank" (versus say an updated bank book) what does it say that your bank book doesnt? Needless to say they cost 100 baht and are only valid for 7 days(nb including non banking days!)

    2. How sure are you re not needing the proof of original funds transfer into Thailand? (which was certainly needed for the Non O, I see the logic of it not being needed again but this is Thailand! )

    3. What's the difference between these two bank letters/documents?

    4. Assume you're up in Ubon so different Offices

As ever just trying to understand the system...

  15. Next week I am within 45 days of non O finishing so I'm told I can apply to convert to retirement 1 year stay permission ( yup, I know its not a visa![emoji12])

My question is what I will need at Immigration? I will take all the stuff from when I got my Non O but......

will I need UPDATED bank books and updated bank letter (re original transfer of the funds)

Anything else? (apart from my passport obviously)

    Thanks

  16. My follow up question(s) relate to my funds...

Assuming I'm successful in getting the 'non O' then after 45 days I can then apply to convert to retirement 1 year stay.

So 1. I'm assuming that I have to leave the 800k untouched ready for that 'second stage' application too?

    2. If that 1 year retirement application is successful, I can then access(take back to UK) that money, but it needs to be back in the Thai bank for a full 3 months before i re apply at the end of the 12 months. Is that correct?

    Thanks

  17. You need your financial proof. Either a letter from the bank to prove 800k baht or proof of 65k baht income by way of a letter from your embassy.
TM7 form, copy of passport photo page, visa, entry stamp, extension stamp and TM6 departure card.
Sorry my question was not worded well..... I'm specifically talking about the rental agreement part only. Other than the rental agreement what else is specifically needed? I THINK its called a blue book or something, it's probably confirmation of who the owner is and that they own the property /land. That's the part I'm ideally seeking complete clarity on. Thanks again
