Maybe you should really research your weather history. They've been coming since before I was born and they always bring lots of rain to Thailand (and floods sometimes).

Do a bit of research yourself.. the rain patterns have been changing.. In the past the SW monsoon off the Andaman Sea was predictable to start around the middle of May.. The last few years most of Thailand that relied on that pattern..particularly central Thailand.. have missed out and hence droughts in many places that grew rice on that rain for generations.  The NE monsoon that comes off the Pacific has always been there as well.. but.. for the last few years.. starting with the 2011 floods.. high ocean temperatures in the eastern Pacific have generated much stronger typhoons.  In the past NE Thailand had more or less predictable rain from these systems in the latter part of the monsoon season.  What has been happening in more recent years is much heavier rainfall at times causing widespread flooding ... as happened in 2011 & 2017. This year La Nina is replacing El Nino resulting lower ocean surface temperatures in the eastern Pacific and no serious typhoons that usually come through the Philippines.. then move on to Vietnam (around Danang) and move on up into China   ... occasionally NE Thailand gets rain from the edge of these storms.  This current storm is entirely different.. it was generated in the South China Sea.. and is coming across NE Thailand .. and on to the north west.. Chiang Mai.. area.. Thailand has always had monsoon rains.. but the patterns are changing and no longer predictable..  The weather map below is for 4 AM on Saturday.. Look where Noul is placed.. that is very unusual..

Do NOT use a steroid cream. If you have a fungal infection it will make it worse.

A rash in that area is usually either prickly heat or fungus.

In both cases keeping the area clean and dry is key. If just prickly heat that and any simple talc (like Prickly Heat powder) will do the trick.

If it is fungal then needs an anti-fungal like clotrimazole and preferrably in powder form like Mycozole powder, which you can get at a pharmacy for from Lazada

I occasionally have a problem with heat rash during the very hot weather around Songkran.. usually on my chest but sometimes in the groin as well.  I find that the Prickly Heat powder and trying to keep it dry (I sweat a LOT) ... doesn't do the trick.  I've been using a bit of cortisone cream as well and that seems to work.  A tiny dab goes a long way.. as I have said use it sparingly.. The thing is to know if it is fungal or heat rash..  Do you see a problem with using cortisone cream in this way?

Cortisone won't fill anf fungus..only gives itch relief. Use something with a fungicide like Lymarin or Canesten creme.

Then after you rid yourself of the fungus ...follow directions, use Snake Brand prickly heat powder after every shower...believe me...I had a terrible case a few years back....no issues ever since using this every day.

Important to shower ASAP after exercise or getting sweated up in this climate...the longer you go...the more chance for fungi to take hold.

    Good Luck

Not necessarily fungal infection... more likely heat rash..  cortisone cream gets rid of inflammation.. quite quickly too..

they would have had to have been resident in OZ at predetermined dates receive those payments. So I don't believe your statement is accurate at all.

Depends on how long you have been out of Australia.. If you are still considered a resident you would probably get both payments.  I was in Oz at the beginning of the year and had a concession card on my return.. I left in March (thank goodness.. and got back to Thailand before lock down).. I got the 1st payment but missed the second because my concession card had expired.. I've been out of the country for 10 years so not considered a resident.. but I get the card when I return and it lasts 6 weeks after I leave again..

I heard they get a reduced rate part after some weeks or so..

...after 6 weeks absence you loose the 'supplements' ..rent assistance etc.. about $50 a fortnight.. you still get basic pension of approx $885 a fortnight.. I'm talking about aged pension.. disability pension is a completely different thing..
