I doubt many of the people hiding their dirty money in Thai real estate are going to be tax residents.
What is "dirty money"?

Windows beats Linux because even though it sucks, Linux sucks worse for the average user. And yes, I have used Linsux many times and not just as a casual user.
I'm not going to provide any examples because the last time I did you came up with a flippant response along the lines of "Linux is easily customisable" when is is in fact not, unless you are a computer programmer.
Hint: it was about how after hours of searching I couldn't come up with a simple Linux equivalent of Core Temp.
You failed to provide a solution other than "Linux is good, mmmkay?".
Ever thought of making your Desktop-PC dual-bootable?
Then youd'd have a choice between Windows and Linux every time you start your PC.

Global warming would make northern countries more liveable. They are currently freezing.
Global warming in the North could lead to a collapse of the gulf stream - as described in the movie "The Day After Tomorrow". I wouldn't like to live then in the North.

There must a huge panel of thinking heads somewhere in the recesses of some government's offices headed by this Srettha Thavisin who's sole tasks is how to bring more and more tourists to Thailand short of PAYING THEM to come...
Why should Thailand pay tourists to come to Thailand?

Y'all need to leave the tourist ghettos. Finding good areas for food is easy. Hop the rail line to popular station; Ari is a good one, use Gmap for local restaurants. Pick a spot, and zoom in/out and refresh "search this area" and you get more options. Pick the ones with most reviews, w/menus & photos.
You want halal, vegan, pick one of the large Mosques, and explore the sois near them.
Just get out & explore ... too easy, too much fun., and if wanting a beer to wash down your munchies, just pop into a 7-11. Use a Yeti to be discreet and keep it cold. Can even take it into a restaurant with you, just make sure you order water with any food.
One thing Krung Thep is good for, almost impossible to be bored there ... though you do have to leave the barstool.
Also a few floating/canal side markets worth a visit, though avoid weekends, or not. Accessible by rail and or bus, if not wanting to drive. I don't when in town, unless I know I can park at a mall. Then hit the streets, means it's not a late night, which never are anyway.
Stayed at iCheck Inn/Sathorn a few weeks back (since pet friendly), and decent street around the corner there with some good munchies. Had Mexican, OK, a little pricy, and there's a Charlie Brown's there for the 'non experimental' types. At night the street vendors showed up. Just OK, though TBH, didn't explore too much, as just hanging out with daughter, she's a bit lazy.
I still like Soi Rambuttri and Khao San Road.

This is normally done in educated countries through the licences to which the venues hold.
Each establishment is told what they can and cannot do. ie closing time, music hours etc etc.
This is a complete joke in Thailand.
BS. Even in Western countries there's laws that restrict opening hours for bars, and the Thai PM is a lawmaker.

Wow, that's really stabbing the US and all Euro nations in the back.
Maybe Thailand should start buying oil from Iran too. Might save a few baht.
I don't feel stabbed in the back.

The loudest one in the room is usually the one with the most dirt under his fingernails.
The fact that big joke claims to be this whiter than white knight in shining armor is a huge red flag.
He should have stayed out of the spotlight and worked in the shadows if he truly wanted to fight crime in a meaningful, productive way. His big mouth and public persona may now be coming back to bite him hard on the behind..
Hang on, even Big Joke has a right to privacy.

So have there been any more discussion/details re the idea of maybe giving 90 day visa free for western folks? Or is it only all about china and India?
It's about Asia. Both China and India are Asian countries.

NZ does not do that. Everyone gets the pension worked or not as long as lived in NZ for the required number of years depending on age. Two required blocks which I don't remember specifics of, but a certain number of years before a certain age and more years after.
Then they probably take off the money from your taxes.

That's a horrible story. Most guys would be testing out their homemade wing suit from the top of a Viewtalay building, yet here you are. Where there's life, there's hope.
Most Western countries have some sort of pension available at 65 or so, can you get one of those?
You have to pay into a Social Security Funds in order to get a pension. Many just didn't care when they were young, and then got shocked when they got old.

Would you lie for your kids?
Would you cover up for them?
You know this case got me thinking about morals .
Last night I was watching the News in Sydney to see a alleged case of a car with teenagers in it last weekend high speed and crash into another car killing the 2 people inside.
Video footage of it by bystanders see the 3 teenagers get out of the crashed car and run off leaving the dying people inside the car they hit
Now the car driven by the teenagers was apparently the Grandad's car
Next watching the news a elderly man with a walking stick is arrested by police ,they allege he is the grandfather of the teenager responsible for driving the car that killed the people and he was arrested because he claimed it was STOLEN by someone and his grandson was with him when this accident happened, effectively lying for his grandson.
Now as he was leaving the court the reporter said to him ..."don't you have any morals ?
Now it got me thinking , I don't blame him , I would possibly lie to protect my son or grandson too
How far would you go ....you don't know , but you would I guess ,we all would,I don't blame him ,he seemed to be a hurt man
Aren't you disappointed in your grand son asked the reporter when the old was leaving court looking sad
Some of you won't even leave to move to Thailand because of your children
Fortunately (or due to birth control) I don't have any children in the West.

It seems a couple of mongers are struggling with the idea that not everyone bin's their partner in lieu of banging prostitutes....
Exactly as DrJack54 wrote - the provision more info will yield better advice.
i.e. is your Partner planning on living in Thailand full time or visiting for a few months at a time etc.
The first question should be if his wife is Thai. If she is she could use her Thai passport and wouldn't need any visa at all.

Did you do field research?
