Why ask, helpless, when you can see exactly what she was wearing if you read the article?

WS isn't the world's most reputed red light district. We keep seeing this BS.

She made out well in the end, true. It may not have gone that way, though. In fact, the members of TAT: ANF are themselves now clutching their pearls and retired to their fainting couches in utter SHOCK that Indians may have far more money than their bigoted stereotype posits--so that the real TAT may have good reason for encouraging their custom.

It doesn't matter what she was wearing, and it doesn't matter what foreigners think of Walking Street.

I myself have been there lots of times, without any hassle.

This fee matters not a jot, what is important is the Thai authorities remember excatly what it was for and stop bitching about unpaid emergency hospital rip offs, it is a huge ammount of money when measured against its supposed purpose, most tourists that get injured here - it is generally not their fault - Thailand is a dangerous place and with poor enforcement of standards  including safety - many foreigners become victims caught up in those dangers - whether it is in transport/roads or building safety .........................not their fault

If it is used as an insurance for medical bills then I'm okay with it. Why should Thailand take the cost?

Eh? - what's that got to do with racism?

Nothing yet. But it's got to do a lot with reliability in case of a military conflict in Thailand. Someone who judges people by their noses is very apt to dehumanize foreigners (be they Thai or Turkish) as what some Americans once called "gooks". And that was racist.

Fortunately the Vietnam War is over, but I certainly wouldn't trust people who still believe they're a "master race"

Incredible - here's a definition of woke"aware of and actively attentive to important facts and issues (especially issues of racial and social justice)" - the alternative is ignorant ,,,,,,

That's fine. Now, who defines what" important facts and issues" are?

It was written by a british guy Lauri Wylie and starred a british guy Freddie Frinton   It was written for the theatre but some german guy saw it in blackpool and the rest is history   I had never heard of it until some germans told me about it. It was never shown on TV in the UK but now it is shown every year on sky at xmas according to wiki.  Why they show it I don't know as its awful. Maybe the UK leftie media are worried that German expats are entitled to view it as part of their human right to a traditional German xmas

There's an off button in TVs. So German expats have to view nothing at all.

It's amazing how accurate the list is!

Who's about to serve whose country?

If the German in question is working for Thai military then his duty is of course to serve Thailand (a neutral country) and not GerMoney (a NATO country)

Indeed there is . A short  British black and white  "comedy" entitled "dinner for one" was a total failure in the UK but is considered essential viewing in Germany every christmas

A rather depressive piece of theatre.

    Thnx for the comment.

Tbh i do agree some part of your comment.

Although i dont care about other thais but i care about the working place and the environment where i am in charge. And i think these kind of actions should be happening in a pro working place.. i wouldnt mind to warn a thai doing the same things ( and i did in the past, different situation).

If you are in a work place, you are. Thats it.

If you are in a workplace you are in a team, and you should behave accordingly. Which the German in question obviously didn't. So he's not a good team player, and that might become a problem for the whole workplace.

actually yes, he is Turkish and he is great with drones. He was working at Bayraktar factory before. But i also dont think Turks have big nose.. i think normal

OK, here we go. It doesn't matter if Turks have big noses, it matters what Germans think. And most Germans think that Turks have big noses and therefore don't respect them as equal.

I'm German btw, and I fought Germans for their hypocrisy all my life long.

Prejudice for sure but not racist. Power has to be used against someone because of their race; I don't see the power being used.  These days prejudice is easily mistaken for racism.

Attitudes determine behaviour. Fortunately the Nazis are out in GerMoney. But there's still (or again) all kinds of Neonazis in GerMoney that propagate their tribal white supremacy. Up to the point where they say "Human rights for Germans only" (AfD) Better put them down before they get into power.

In your example, you describe racism against a population in general which is quite different to what we see here. To say that a big nosed person might come from the Middle East is no more racist that suggesting somebody is Asian because they have black hair, oval eyes and a flat nose. Is that racist too, or stereotyping? Racism goes to intent, not the mere words alone.

Then I guess the intent of the German in question was to dehumanize someone he considered a competitor (maybe even sexually). Which doesn't make it any better.
