There may be plenty of reasons other than your conspiracy theory, I.e. they don't want to disclose a source, they don't want to disclose how they are able to investigate, etc....

*Deleted post edited out* It's you obfuscating. The topic is "Trump company charge....", It's not about Obama, and there was also no "Obama company charge....". So It's an obvious false equivalence (on top of being off-topic) Fact is there was an obvious conflict of interest, aggravated by the high price charged for rooms.

As already stated this is a global issue and not a U.S. issue. There is no shortage in the U.S. so getting oil from Canada will not solve the global supply issue. I agree that it is not in the interest of oil companies to make any long-term investment in any country, as there are uncertainties about the long-term demand and prices. There are currently plenty of permits which are not used. Their exploitation may be profitable under current prices, but not under the prices expected in a few years' time. This is a global and long-term trend. Worldwide investment in oil and gas started to decrease in 2015 and it's not going to recover the pre-2015 level.

The United States started the petroleum reserve in 1975 to mitigate future supply disruptions as part of the international Agreement on an International Energy Program, after oil supplies were interrupted during the 1973–1974 oil embargo. The situation is quite different now. Since the a policy started by the Obama administration, the U.S. is self-sufficient and even net exporter. There is no need to maintain the same level of strategic reserve.

Here is something interesting which was not clear in the OP. Quote But Trump and his lawyers still filed their complaint citing those numbers, and Trump signed a letter "swearing under oath that the incorporated, inaccurate numbers 'are true and correct' or 'believed to be true and correct' to the best of his knowledge and belief," Carter wrote. https://news.yahoo.com/federal-judge-finds-trump-lied-000120999.html

Marijuana use is becoming a new normal among U.S. young adults

I think it's broader than that. I guess a significant share of their voters actually smoke weed. It differs from other countries, such as some European countries, where right-wing people tend to be against it. -
How many times have we heard that? You will see the next lawsuit about stolen elections (the kraken B.S., etc....), you will see the supreme court ruling about elections, you will see the election audit in (choose the place), you will see the IG investigation about the Russia probe, you will see the Durham investigation, and now It's you will see when the GOP will take back the house....
