  1. Typing on the phone - if you can manage it, you’ll have to join the dots through the typos. question: do you agree that’s it was ok for a group of guys to attack an old man?
  2. I’ve helped friends from getting extorted in the past. You wouldn’t assist friends if you could ? of course you would. but, as an admitted drunk driver as hard as you try, you have no moral high ground there at all.
  3. Not once have you condemned the group of Thais for attacking an old man and smashing his car….…. )ok 2 of them attacked the guy, the others smashed the car)… There’s no confusion there Malcy - it’s clear you want to defend the Thai lads though your bias. if they were Brits your response would have been quite different. Your comments lack balance & are fulled by bias - you gaslight from the most ridiculous & pathetic of stances. Do you agree with the guys beating up an old man ?
  4. Apologies if I overstepped the mark in requesting some basic common sense… But, I do believe free speech also comes with responsibility. Free thinking spirits, great - I love alternative ideas - but de we also want to go down road distracted by trolls & crackpots ??? Now it’s been explained that this is a subforum - the nuttier threads / topics are easier to avoid.
  5. There’s free speech & there’s utter stupidity- sadly the two are not mutually exclusive !!!
  6. I have not read this - but, if so, what were barriers doing around his car ? - Just for you MalcomB…
  7. ‘Drunk driving’… & you will, it’s just a matter of time before your inconsiderate selfishness impacts an innocent victim. Ok Chuck Norris - you’d see if a group of youths ‘cos you never back down’ - height of idiocy. Deescalation is easy here… There’s no need to play the ‘hard man’ especially if you’re a geriatric. Nope…. That’s yous being a halfway again… a kid on his motorcycle pulled out without looking & clipped my number plate… - if you call that ‘’me getting into an accident” then your bias twists your delusion well beyond common sense - no surprise there. Already covered - that was a mixup from another example of a similar situation - but keep quoting that in out same way you exaggerate all other comments in some brainless attempt to point score.
  8. Keep yer knickers untwisted Malcy…. That misunderstanding has been explained already….
  9. ah got you - thanks for clearing that one up.
  10. Of course you have Malc…. You’ll probably be very apologetic & polite after diving into someone while drunk. & I’m more than happy to deescalate any possible confrontation that can get unpredictable & violent - only an idiot wouldn’t. I’ve nothing to prove to any of these violent thugs… You’ve never backed down…. We have a new hard man in our midst… what was that you wrote about keyboard warrior again hard man ?
  11. Any idea why they'd barrierred off the car ? He'd accidentally parked in the wrong parking area ?... An area reserved for 'customers to a different restaurant' etc ? owners called the thugs to make a point ?... The Swiss man became indignant and tried to move the barriers out of the way so he could go home and that caused the escalation ???? Is this was is being said here ? - I get it,.. whenever in a new area on road side parking etc I ask local guards etc or nearby folk if parking where I am is ok (if here is someone around)... There are often territorial disputes which can easily be missed by us. I remember trying to park in Mae Sot and an good old dear was sat out the front of a shop, chairs and stools were placed out to block the parking - I asked the old dear if it was ok I if parked there for 20 mins... she smiled and was fine about it. If she had frowned and grumbled someting I'd have moved on... I parked today in an area with few places or what appeared to be a high 'real estate value on parking spots'... I just wound down the window and asked where is best to park... the guard pointed, so I went to that spot. Another guard game over and decided that was not the idea spot for my car and asked me to move to a spot 5 meters away - not a big deal - they may have their reasons - its not worth getting the car scratched while I'm away for 15 mins etc. I know its about how these situations are approached - but returning to my car and seeing it surrounded with barriers is already an escalation - I'd have probably started moving the barrier myself too. Just last week we went to park and there were barriers up, I got out and slid one across... the parking attendant came, told me not that barrier / spot, he moved a different barrier and we parked in the space 'he wanted us to park in'... Its just the way it is, no biggie in a normal world... until the guys are aggressive thugs and jump to violence which is a massive excalation.
  12. Yep... I agree with that (insanely overboard). I also agree, never start or continue an escalation that could turn physical.... I have not read this - but, if so, what were barriers doing around his car ? - he'd parked in a wrong spot by mistake ? What would you negotiate for ?... what is being imagined here ? Thug extorting him for parking and he refused to pay up ?...
  13. Was 'he' [the Swiss guy] a complete prick ??... how do you know that ?
  14. An accurate statement. Losing face is not popular in Thailand or most of Asia. Agreed... Worthy of smashing up the car and beating up the old guy ??? As pointed out earlier, there are some mental gymnastics being performed by some posters to normalise assault....
  15. Are you aware you’re responding to 3 posters? Step up a few mental levels and think about that one again....
  16. Yes science my friend ,please learn it MalcomB’s comments, though utterly objectionable and largely void of coherent thought, occasionally manage to scrape together enough of an alternative perspective to warrant debate. You, however, don’t even meet that dismal standard. Don’t delude yourself into thinking you're anywhere near worthy.
  17. Not yet, sure I'm dumb but not that dumb. Wholly valid point... plenty of others are already well ahead of you !!.. Thank you both...
  18. You just made up four stories all of which blame the Thais. You have issues. And somewhere in the mix is a reality in which a single 66 year old man was beaten up and his car was attacked by 4-6 thugs. I don't care what nationality either 'side' is... Thugs beat up an old person... they are thugs.
  19. Haha... those scientific polls of yours...
  20. Oh dear... all rather amusing... this has to be a windup..
  21. Great idea - but can some ground rules be set ? (no flat earthers / no moon-landing conspiracists / no crackpots). Starting off: Lost advanced civilisations that existed thousands of years before known ancient cultures like Mesopotamia, Egypt, and the Indus Valley with highly sophisticated and advanced knowledge of astronomy, architecture, and mathematics.
  22. Rescuing him from getting filled in by bouncers ??? hmm... the timing on this comment is exceptional !!!
  23. Be careful not to take your own euphemisms too literally !!!
  24. Are you deliberately challenging Malc for the dumb post of the day crown ?? 🫣
