  1. Wow Dr Cereal. So you personally did a complete physical drug check on him and found other substances as well? Where did you get your medical degree, Khao San Road? Wow, Builld776... Way to may your agenda clear... Its quite obvious to anyone with 'life experience' that Marijuana tends not to result in this type of behavior - thus, its quite likely other factors at play and quite possibly, other substances involved. ... Such a response includes both common sense and a real word understanding... your response includes, neither. What we see here, is nothing more than the 'general response of placing the blame on anything else to avoid personal responsibility'... ... Blaming agressive behavior on Marijuana is just like drivers blaming their mistakes on brake failure...
  2. They're welcome to travel to Palestine and Iran and protest in support of their 'adopted cause' in those areas... ... though, as you silently alluded.... I very much doubt they'd survive their breach of the Islamic Penal Code, if openly admitting their sexual preference...
  3. Apologies if the following seems like 'gaslighting', but.... your comment, 'when in Rome'... implies you mimic Thai driving / riding behavior ???... ...Does that mean you drive and ride with reckless abandonment exampled by many drivers here?.. i.e. jumping red lights, riding without a helmet, tailgating, speeding, wrong way down a one way street, riding on the wrong side of the road, over taking on blind bends etc etc ??? Of course, not, you are not that daft...... 'Adapting to' local driving behavior and standards, does not necessarily mean 'adopting' local driving behavior and standards... So, I don't think 'when in Rome' is a correct approach, unless you meant something else other than that implied by the statement.
  4. They're not berries... they're mushrooms !!!.... which explains a lot !!!
  5. I like tennis too and used to play often... Also been injured doing that !! Plenty of risk... ALC, PCL, Meniscus.. Medial, lateral Ligaments etc.. riskier as we get older.... I've played a lot of football... loads of injuries there too, and getting them more easily as I age.... I was 'out for over year with injury' its the only time of my life I've not had black toe nails on one foot or another... Got fit again, played again.... got injured again and am now out - now with a black toe nail from those few games !!! Anyone active will get injuries - its just a part of life, knowing when to slow down is a hard lesson to learn. I haven't played tennis for a good few years... maybe I'll have to try that again. I haven't played golf for a good few years... perhaps its time to spoil a good walk again !!! Pretty much any activity is good and mentally rewarding....
  6. I just completed this quiz. My Score 80/100 My Time 268 seconds
  7. Its a 'balanced risk' and based very firmly on perspective. ... People live in Central Bangkok and then complain about smokers !!.. others drink every day and then wont take a vaccine etc etc... The psychological aspects of doing sports cannot be understated, and for some, the sports become more extreme... .. I used to think nothing of skiing down a mountain at 80kmh... that was until a major accident. I've sky dived, bungie jumped... all great fun... Wake boarded, another major accident knackering my lower back put a stop to that... I've played sports all my life... and am now paying for it (knee, ankle, back problems).... But had I not been very active, life would have been miserable..
  8. Which sick POS left a laughing emoji ??? Mods should find out who it is and them... Disgusting behavior, even more so knowing the emogi is anonymous...
  9. Sorry to read that... life has given you some kicks... I hope you are not in any pain...
  10. No netizens were offended !!!.... thats just the media drumming up business !!!
  11. Boomer Alert !!!.... was the handle 'Miserable-Fart' already taken or something ??
  12. There's a difference between bad behavior and high spirits... I dont think this crosses the line in an area like Patong..... this is just people 'di<king about'... But the real point here.. No one was really bothered, the some karen puts it in the media, which another source 'picks up' and then announces 'netizen outrage'.... And the term netizen, similar to 'citizen' gives the implication that the general population are upset by this behavior, when most just won't care. .... So, are we outraged at the fake claims of netizen outrage... ?
  13. Would they have bothered doing anything if it was just a 'normal' member of the public who was scammed out of 650,000 baht ????
  14. Thats interesting - I have never found this to be the case... In my experience, Medication has always been more expensive directly from the hospital to such a degree, when I visit a hospital, I get the name of the medication prescribed and go and get it elsewhere, particularly if it going to expensive stuff.... ... But even a strip of Ibuprofen (accorcia) is about 3-4x more expensive when prescribed and obtained directly from the hospital. Clearly this is a case of experiences vary (YMMV)... Government hospitals may well be cheaper.... Private certainly aren't.
  15. Agreed... that combined with a possible underlying racist attitude toward the 'Khaek'... It doesn't matter where the customer was from, it seems the staff escalated the issue because they were unable to handle a confrontational discussion when the Indian guy complained that he had not received his full order.
  16. Who's to blame? ... the idiots attempting such actions, they know what they are doing is unsafe, they just don't care... ... the authorities for allowing the police to be so ineffective... ... the police themselves, for their laziness and apathy towards enforcement of las.
  17. Brain washing camps then... everything this Islamic Republic regime does is evil... I see so very few redeeming features from what 'was' not so long ago an incredibly beautiful country with rich culture.
  18. This is tragic - unnecessary loss of life due to poor education. .... They just didn't know how dangerous entry into a confined space can be. That said, neither did I when I was younger, it wasn't something we were taught either. One of the failures of education here and in the UK and many other countries is basic life saving skills - the things that everyone needs... Water Safety, Electrical safety too...
  19. You mean, its not easy to sell it for the price you think its worth, because people paying those amounts will pay a little more for a new car ?? IF wishing to sell, you have to price the car well - take values from one2car.com and price accordingly with the competition.
  20. Outstanding - just when I think I couldn't see any 'fresh-examples' of complete fluckwittery... Of course, they won't be charged because no one was hurt and the Police will feel sorry for them.... after all, it was't their fault trees are heavy and the road was steep... They'll be back attempting the same thing, next week. Hopefully, at least insurance won't pay out and that should teach them a lesson... although, I doubt they have anything more than compulsory insurance anyway... So, no, nothing learned by this. At least they didn't hurt anyone, usually we read stories of 'brake failure' as innocent motorcyclists are crushed by the 'truck that had brake failure and rolled out of control down the hill'...
  21. That was my thought - Are these meds not available from a regular Pharmacy ? Most meds, unless highly controlled, can be purchased at a pharmacy, I'm sure Blood-Pressure meds are not controlled, so why even go to the Dr. in the first place ? Was this racism? It seems more like general incompetence combined with plenty of disregard and indifference.
  22. Agree with all of this - particularly IST which IMO is an outrageous rip off for everything, from food, to drinks and all the shopping... its the only airport I've been to where you have to pay for the small baggage trolleys when air-side.
  23. The new terminal at Doha airport is quite impressive... that may change your mind. Its the best Airport I've been to, followed closely by Singapore simply because its so organised. I have to say, when comparing to all other Airports, Suvarnabuni is pretty decent... better looking from the outside than inside as they've managed to make it an 'airy space' look compact and crowded.
