  1. Want to bet he isn't? The twitter (x) link above, shows he wasn't there when he was reported to have been there... Of course, that report (video) can be debunked with excuses such as the video have been taken before his arrival, its edited etc etc... in which case, we can never know for sure unless we see it with our own eyes,....
  2. If your purpose on this thread is to argue that there is no proof for a conspiracy, thus the discussion of such a conspiracy is speculation - then yes, you are 100% correct, but also being 100% ridiculous, if there were 'unequivocal proof' there would be no conspiracy to discuss.....
  3. 'Hey Boss... You'll need to go to the Police Hospital for a photoshoot'... We have a few people who'll fall for it and believe you are there full time if they see a photo of you there...
  4. There have been a couple of published photos of him while he was there. If you have any proof of his not being there, I would be even more interested. Posted above (and here) - the Proof that Thaksin was not at the 14th Floor of the Police Hospital where it was claimed he was staying.
  5. Valid point.... Don't you find the timing of his ill health incredibly convenient ??... the same night he returned ? Of course, as another poster mentioned, the ill health could be plausible and he just wanted to come home and live out palliative care close to loved ones. But, in Panthip (Thai Forum) a few months back there was an article by a Thai Social Media reporter, who'd interviewed Thaksin in Dubai a couple of months before his return, he was working out and and in perfect health... I suppose his health could deteriorate quickly at his age. Then... after he has returned to Thailand and it is found that Thaskin is unwell and needed be transfered to the 14th floor of the Police Hospital by Helicopter, a Thai journalist attempts to enter the Police Hosptial, is successful, there is no security (strange), he gets to the 14th floor, no security on that floor (again strange) and the AC is not on and the ward is empty... (link below)... All very strange, all very convenient... Enough reason to be cynical ??... most definitely so...
  6. This makes me wonder why you are on a forum designed for the very speculation and discussion you so criticise and dislike so much.
  7. Indeed... the idea here is that there is the thinnest veil of plausibility which is obviously sponsored by his power and wealth.... Of course it would never happen, but, wouldn't it be good IF his health could by checked by completely independent and incorruptible medical professional...
  8. We're all speculating on this thread.... The only one who isn't is you who simply resorts to inane arguing that everyones speculation is just speculation and they have no proof... ... the stand you take against speculation is just bit too ridiculous sometimes...
  9. The uniform is always a sure giveaway. Somehow the arrogance comes through, but I'm not sure how. An instinct, I guess, from my having lived in Pattaya so long. To be fair, you're probably more correct in your profiling than incorrect, also, that as there are so many Brits in Pattaya you have a higher statistically probability of being right than wrong (when observing caucasians on motorcycles). ... Attitude, cargo-shorts, tats certainly fits a stereotype... But the general slur would be insulting to many Brits who don't fit that mould.
  10. Someone else on a bike cuts you off and you know their nationality ???????
  11. There's no mention of it... ... But how pished up was the Brit ???? At that time of night my bets are over the limit and three-sheets to the wind..... probably no helmet either. ... probably no licence to ride too, not that this influences the standards of riding here, but could imply an illegal rental as theoretically rental companies cannot legally rent out motorycles to those without a motorcycle licence (something that is of course, never enforced).
  12. LL - you are taking your levels of pedanticism to new highs... Do you really believe Taksin is unwell and not receiving treatment any more special than any other 'inmate' would receive ?? Do you really not beleive such unless its written in something we can provide a 'link' for ??? Sometimes, by going down this 'rabbit-hole' of arguing 'only what can be unequivocally proven' you make yourself appear incredibly naïve.
  13. How can your Thai-bash be valid if no one can prove that he is not ill? Thought so...it wasn't valid. I know you refuse to believe anything unless you have coconuts link to read... However, I believe my cynicism is well justified given the systemic levels of corruption with Thailands power players and the manner and timing in which events unfolded such that he didn't spend any time in a 'real cell'.... (or do you also want proof of that - I think you could find a coconuts article to quench your pedanticism). ... the public (any myself) not having proof that he isn't unwell is most certainly not proof that he is unwell in this case - we'd be foolish to believe the spin.
  14. It is a ridiculous assertion that boarding passes can be faked. Maybe the one you print at home on A4 or letter size. Normal one on thermal paper or on that airline card stock? Then how do the fakirs get on the plane when the barcode does not match an open seat Exactly, but apparently thats is what the Op was told was recorded into the system against his name.
  15. Been discussed many times. Such an experienced traveller should know better. https://aseannow.com/topic/1280942-suvarnabhumi-immigration-entry-processing-boarding-pass-required-from-your-arrival-flight-18122022/ That thread is BKK. Other airports (eg Saigon) even moreso I have only ever been asked for a boarding pass upon arrival once... (out of every country I travel to for over two decades of frequent travel)... Since that time, I always ensure I keep my boarding pass just in case. So,.. I should know better, for what exactly ???
  16. You should be asked every time. The immigration officers accept folk not presenting it as the requirement is so naively not known and MANY do not present it at passport control. Upon departure, yes.... But upon arrival its something I've only ever been asked to show once (about two years ago) and I'm making about 8 International arrivals / entry's per year.... So its clearly not something they ask for with any degree of frequency. That said, after being asked for it once, the boarding pass is something I always have in my possession at least until I depart the airport. The issue the Op encountered is that the Immigration officers reported that they suspected he had a fake boarding pass and that was the reason for his rejection, although it appears at the time he was told his rejection was because he didn't show 20,000 Baht in cash (although he had it and was never asked for it).... That Immigration Officer at Phuket seems like a complete 'wrong-un' and set the ball rolling on a path of ridiculous inconvenience and hassle for the Op...
  17. These are the subspecies Bastidiousfukerous... and they're annoying as hell... As much as you can do to control your area they'll keep coming back. The only way to really control them in a condo is for the whole condo to be regularly fumigated as part of pest control measures... this is something the condo management company or juristic committee need to be dealing with. In our house we run pest control twice per year, but we often forget and get reminded when we see one of those Bastidiousfukerous scurrying across the floor and have to call out the pest control folk again to spray down all the drains, in the nooks and crannies under the sealed stairs, under the house etc... I went full on Chuck Norris and lobbed a paring knife at one a few years back, to my surprise I speared it to the flooring... Felt hard as nails until the wife shouted at me.
  18. The boarding pass should be presented along with passport to the immigration officer at pp control upon arrival. I was once asked for my boarding pass on arrival in BKK and I didnt have it... luckily the Immigration officer was ok about it. I always ensure I hold on to them now.
  19. How else is the driver supposed to ignore pedestrians, cyclists and motorcyclists just in front of him ???
  20. This worked for me when Immigration Officers were being difficult... Long story short, my Extension of stay based on Work expired the day after I'd landed back in BKK (after being away for a month and the contract had finished), the Immigration officer stamped me in for one day based on that expiry date. I objected and had to go push the issue up two levels before speaking to someone with reason who agreed that it was ridiculous to stamp me in for one day - the junior officers really were unimpressed at being over-ruled. So, I can see how some Immigration Officers can be deliberately difficult and it appears the Op had one of those people who should never be in the position they are in. At the time, when the Op had entered Phuket I advised that he speak with a supervisor and someone who can see reason, but it appears that it was too late and he was left without choice or didn't push firmly enough.
  21. I'm quite sympathetic to the Ops plight... He posted another thread whereby he was rejected and it seems his treatment is extremely unfair... He initially tried to return to his family flying into Phuket (after being out of the country for 5 months) and was rejected entry at the airport for what appear to be the 'whim' of the immigration officer (If I'm not mistaken the reason given was not carrying enough cash, which was incorrect as the Op points out he was carrying cash and was never asked to show it) - the Op has since identified that Immigration logged the rejection in the system as 'fake boarding pass' which seems extremely strange (how did he arrive there then ???).... It seems he's now 'in the system' after being rejected and is facing further difficulty which would appear have been create by a very negative and spiteful Immigration Officer. The Ops has since refused to pay a 25,000 baht bribe to an immigration officers in Suvarnabumi... others trying to take advantage of someone in a moment of weakness. And now, because he's still in the system, his attempt to enter has been rejected at a land boarder. This guy is simply trying to get back to his family and I can't see what he has done wrong at all. Neither can he. So when others imply he is bull$hitting etc, I am somewhat combative, I agree with you there, but I'm combative on his behalf... He's been through enough already without us lot jumping on his back like a bunch of ayholes kicking him while he is down. He also seems to have remained very calm at those who've been less than polite and implied he's a liar and making up stories.
  22. While I disagreed with your earlier comment (which appeared to be a general Thai bash) I agree with much of what you write above. I flew through T5 Heathrow two weeks ago... a very smooth experience, no less smooth than flying out of many Airports. However, UK airports in the peak summer are a disaster... just over-crowded with holiday makers and outrageous security lines. I fly Thai yearly to Japan - (and will do so again in a few weeks), that service is very reasonable, priced better that JAL and ANA, offers good baggage allowance and is perfectly comfortable. On the other hand, I don't want to be sat on any Airline for 12 hours in Economy Class and thus ignored the TG offer of a UK Ticket (one way for 10,000 baht when it was offering such a couple of years back). I agree with what you write about Thai being managed very poorly - that doesn't make it uncomfortable, just less profitable. Qatar Q-Suites... I also fly a lot, Qatar and Emirates top the Game in both Business and Economy, with Etihad coming a close second. Most other airlines I've flown on are pretty average, but not poor. The Mark of a good airline is how they treat customers when things go wrong. Emirates, made solid efforts but still managed to stuff up rather annoying, when encountering a 10 hour delay and missed connection it took them a further 5 hours to get my Wife out of the airport and into a hotel.... First taking her to a hotel that was full (she was exhausted by then).... They were quick to pay the right amount of compensation (€600) but first tried to 'avoid paying for both my Son and Wife until I pointed out that a child in a seat has the same rights as an adult (Emirates paid out €1200 within a couple of weeks). A similar delay with Turkish was disastrous, they lied and attempted to cheat, put us up in a sh!thole and rejected compensation claims, I went through ADR and won the €600 compensation but it took them 5 months to pay out. An issue with Airlines is how they deal with queues... some airports just deal with this better than others, but its seems many have under-staffed counters which leads to long immigration queues and particularly in the UK, long security queues.
  23. Awwww... poor you, fragile little thing... You got butt hurt in the other thread when I called out your Thai Bash and now you want to retaliate in an attempt to score a point. In this case the 'Thai-bash' (or rather bash at the corruption surrounding Taksin's incarceration) is valid... Can you prove he really is ill ?? No... I thought not... None of us can... He flew in to Thailand and days later had a heart condition that allows him to stay in an area that is far more comfortable than a prison cell, if he's even there at all... .... that doesn't raise your eyebrows ???....
  24. Can anyone else spot 3 broken AQI sensors ????
