Agreed... I felt sorry for the Op and was ready to offer as much help as I could. I was even ready to PM him and offer contacts etc... but his responses are such that I wouldn't put my neck out and put him in contact with people who could help only to discover he's just a pain in the backside who is making his own problems.

That's not beyond the realms of possibility! True... but its still a flippant throw away response... 'I got bitten by a dog'.... 'never happened to me' (it must be your own fault)... kind of comment....

Quite often it is the buyer's fault, not following the instructions 'What I didn't realise is that there was a 'official' refund procedure to follow and I wasn't doing that correctly. ' Agree.... quite often its the buyers fault... but its not always as dumbed down and simple as that. The 'it never happened to me' response is not a measure that an issue that happened to someone else is their own fault or they are fabricating the story. I've been scammed by Lazada vendors - so it clearly does happen (but also got a refund). I've had the 'bait & increase the price' issue, when items have been ordered and paid for, then a week later the order is cancelled by the vendor (and refunded), but more expensive examples of the same item are available from another vendor using exactly the same photos etc...

Parking in the shade - far more effective than the colour of a car. Nope.... my argument isn't that one colour is better than the other.. so the dirt point is irrelevant to the discussion. My arguement is against the daft and desperate justification being used... Its as daft as the 'nitrogen in car tyres' discussion.... I don't think your arguments are 'technically' wrong... just that the difference is insignificant enough to render them pointless. If you are judging the intelligence of others based on the age of their car I dare say your comment couldn't be further from the truth. Additionally, you have judged the 'character' of others [pretentious ( Rhymes with anchors)] based on whether they have a sunroof or not, which kind of further doubt surrounding your self proclaimed 'smarter than others' comment !!!!... Awesome to have a reliable car, congratulations.... the banana tree's have clearly done it a great service. Did you get it in gold to impress friends, relatives and neighbours??? (see what I did there ?)... How does your 'older car' fare in crash-tests against these newer cars you think less intelligent people buy ?????

Engine driven.... but does that mean the cooling fan 'only' works when the engine is in operation ???? Or, even though cooling the fan is 'primarily' engine driven, it also has a motor which engages when trigged by the thermostat when the engine is turned off...
-
Same here... (how to cancel it though ?) I just e-mailed them to cancel so I don't take up spaces needed by others. Op really isn't helping himself. There are people on this forum who know very senior immigration officers who they could put the Op in contact with. But... the Op is doing such a terrible job of helping himself I doubt anyone would want to go out of their way to assist a stranger who is being somewhat belligerent and really not placing himself in a position to help others help him.

My post included pickups and SUV's. So basically all rear wheel drive Thai built ones. Is that so ???.... modern Thai built pickups and SUV's... (i.e. Toyota Fortuna, Ford Everest / Toyota Hilux, Isuzu D-Max etc)... don't have a cooling fan that stays on after the ignition is turned off ??... Which ones ???? I think you are thinking about 'quite old' vehicles, that had an inline mounted engine (as opposed to a transversely mounted engine) and the cooling fan was connected (mounted) to the front. What are you driving around in... a rot i-taen ???

I know what I think but what do you?

Side stepping the debate about lazada refunds and scams etc... OP... Assuming you want to backup your data in a reliable manner to an SSD (no moving parts) rather than a conventional portable HD which has a higher risk of failure, particularly if dropped etc... then its best to go with a reputable solution. -
Which modern ICE car does not have a cooling fan that continues to operate after the ignition has been turned off (if the engine is hot) ??? Name one...
-
Give me one modern ICE car that does not ???? A black-cart horse will overheat more readily than a white cart horse when towing your wares from the shire to the local market... thats the antiquated level you seem to be discussing this topic at.... as I asked, do you have a 1970's Datsun... Well, not quite, just an 18 year old Toyota... But really, are you for real..... The Op is talking about a new BMW or Mercedees and you are brining up an 18 year old crappy toyota to justify your claims.... Again... its rather desperate. I get what you mean about 'environmental degradation' of changeable parts - but, the temperature differential between a dark and light car is between 5 and 9 degrees C.... Quoting irrelevant laws, paint chemists is pointless when engine blocks get up to and beyond 100°C... so a 5-9°C temperature differential at the 40°C makr (between light and dark) when parked is insignificant. Do you intend to paint your engine block white as well !!!... ??? I get your point if you are discussion something that is only capable of operating within very fine temperature margins...but not cars. If you want to squeeze an extra 6 months out of your 3 month battery, and maximising the 'rubber' components of your vehicle well beyond their recommended maintenance dates that leaves me wondering how many times your car breaks down because of a blown gasket, blown rubber coolant hose etc... The whole discussion is completely ridiculous, hilarious and rather desperate in a cant see the forest for the trees kind of way....

Wrong 95% or more. The Thai's are the bad people on the roads in Jomtien and pattaya. you obviously don't ride or drive there much. I did 21 years. Agreed... It seems some posters have this strange confirmation bias thing going on where 'other foreigners' are concerned... They ignore Thai's doing whatever they do, and only when a foreigner does the same thing do they notice.... Perhaps because when they see a foreigner doing something wrong it triggers a stronger reaction and is thus more noticeable and more memorable...

This has never happened to me in over 5 years buying many many items. All returns have been refunded with only one company quibbling about it, which Lazada sorted out. I don't get it.... When a poster highlights an issue we get the 'never happened to me' response as if the poster who highlighted said issue is exaggerating or has some underlying agenda...

Thanks for that... Its incredible what unscrupulous sellers get up to... If spending reasonable amounts, I often check 'written reviews' of the product itself, which come with photo's etc. There is no foolproof way, but we can limit the risk by digging slighty. Its much like reading hotel reviews... we can pick out the real reviews from the fake one liners.

It was about 5 years ago when I had to make my 'first refund' on Lazada.... I'd order a 5000 baht SMP bicycle saddle to assist with my midlife MAMIL crisis (from a Lazada store based in Chiang Mai) and instead received a 50 baht rubber phone case... I contacted the store who didn't reply... I contacted Lazada who said contact the store. What I didn't realise is that there was a 'official' refund procedure to follow and I wasn't doing that correctly. After a week of contacting the store directly and being ignored I asked my Wife for help, who then corrected me... and showed me my error... All I had to do was click on the order page, select the item, and instigate a refund from there (with a photo)... Lazada then informed me that the shop had x days to respond after which they'd take over. I can't remember what happened, but I received my refund after a couple of weeks - Luckily I had not exceeded the permissible 'refund' time. I found the Lazada app (on the phone) very crowded and difficult to navigate, I find it much easier on the computer.

No one has asked that you expose your identity - its been explained to you that the stamps contain no personal information but could help those knowledgable to get a more accurate handle on the situation as its possible you misunderstand the meaning or interpretation of the stamps in your passport. There are people who can help, but you if you are unwilling to or too stubborn make efforts to help others help you then you are facing an uphill battle and a year from now people who could have assisted you with information on entering Thailand won't care, but you'll still be stuck outside. There are people on this forum who have strong contacts with senior immigration officers who could help... but they are not going to stick their necks out and use their contacts with someone they don't know who is unwilling to help themselves.

In the other thread RED (who is very knowledgable about immigration issues) who was trying to help you posted and example of the 'rejection stamp'... It does not show personal information.. Information could be redacted from a photo of any other stamp you have... and if you were truly serious about your situation you'd do anything to seek a resolution. In the past, I have posted a photo of my driving licence with personal information blurred out - so concerns are flawed, unless you are somewhat computer illterate and do not know how to blank out info on a photo (using simple software such as paint). You have been informed repeatedly that there is no personal information on these stamps... -
A little tricker with something like that... But, you don't have to open it in front of the delivery guy to file a return... If you accept the item and then decide you don't want it, you can still file a return.... unless of course its not fully assembled etc and can't be disassembled undamaged into original packaging. With something like a chair I'd be more inclined to want to see it in person (as I have already implied)... Perhaps give Ikea a try (if you are near one).

That law was repealed... perhaps not a decade a go... I think a few years back. However, some immigration officers may be acting on it. Now... back you to siwiek... people have invested time in trying to give advice, but you seem reluctant in helping others help you.... You have been asked to post your 'rejection stamps' so that others can more accurately gauge your status, but you have not done so. The scepticism of others regarding your plight is starting to become understandable.

You're not helping yourself here... In your other thread you've been asked to post photos of your 'rejection' visa stamps, so people can gauge the issue, but you have not done so.... Yet you've found time to write the above nonsense. -

IMO - its more feasible that 3 separate people have faced immigration spiteful immigration officers over the past month. -
Intrigued... What is it.. ??... send a Lazada link and some of us 'more initiated' lazada buyers could advise you as to whether or not the vendor looks legitimate or not. Ultimately, there is limited risk... If you don't like the item you can return it (I've done so plenty of times, citing not as advertised, fake item etc)..

Yep... I can understand that... It's easier to be forgiving of someone we consider doesn't know any better... ... nevertheless, feckless but dangerous stupidity is also extremely annoying... Perhaps the feeling of wanting to give these idiots a battering is really about 'educating' them !!! (whatever nationality).
