  1. As i said before I thought i was alright to fly in as I had the SETV
  2. I'm only doing what I'm allowed to do. If they don't want people to use these visas more than once then make that the rule. And also what you're forgetting is my annoyance is the Thai embassy in penang allowed me the visa. fair enough if rules are rules but surely everyone in immigration has got to follow the same rules, So, why is the embassy not following the same regs? I should have never got as far as phuket if it is across the board same rules/regs, I wouldn't have minded so much if in penang they said you can't have a visa, but to let me go to phuket and then say you're refused entry is wrong.
  3. yeah right! I'm gonna be that brain-dead <deleted>
  4. And how do you appeal to the minster? because immigration wouldn't tell me and there's literally nothing on google. who is the minster is it one person or a governing body? it's totally vague on the form they give you.
  5. I can assure you there isn't. I'll tell you what the story is its IO on a pathetic little power trip flexing his muscles.
  6. so if IO called me out I'd say fair play..... You say that now but maybe would be different if it actually happened to you.
  7. two and a half years. but i was on a nonB for a year and a half of that. Also before you say that's why you got denied. my question was never why, but just how long before i should try to get back in?
  8. Well I presume I will be getting a denial stamp as that's what's happened. I don't know yet as I haven't had my passport back( I'm actually still in the detention room, I'm supposed to fly back tomorrow to penang) but i already had a form saying thats what it is, a denial of entry.
  9. Another thing i was wondering... would i then be denied entry in neighbouring countries ie vietnam, Cambodia. because it would flag up as soon as i entered.
  10. As i said before because i had been granted the visa already i didn't think there would be any problems
  11. I have stayed within the law always. Also they said 5 months is long enough as a tourist and for a holiday but who are they to determine how long MY holidays are. I questioned why have i been allowed the tourist visa then by the Thai embassy in Penang? and they just said "we screen it again at the airport". Which to me sounds like a nonsensical statement.
  12. TBH I didn't really think of a safe entry point at the time cuz i had already got the tourist visa. But thanks for the advise and info. much appreciated.
  13. @hydraides i only have one overstay of 3 days but I do stay in Thailand a hell of a lot. It's not the denial of entry that I'm really enquiring about as i know at the end of the day Thai immigration pretty much are a law onto themselves but was just more wondering how long should i give it before i try getting in again? would 1 month be enough? 2, 3? or longer?
  14. Yes, That's what I'm worried about. Maybe it would be better to fly somewhere stay there for a bit and then try again?
  15. If you mean a fine "under the table type" I don't think that's possible at airports
  16. @darrendsd Tried that and just got ignored basically. Also asked to see the boss but also got the same reaction.
  17. @BritTim I think that's what they was applying, That i couldn't support myself. But If i immediately try to get in at another entry point won't my passport flag up?
  18. @Crossy @likerdup Ok the details are.... I got a tourist visa in Penang but when i got to phuket airport i was still denied entry. they claimed that because i had already had 5 months here. that i wasn't any tourist anymore. so couldn't come in as a tourist. And was living here according to them even though they had no evidence of that. So, As it's a "minor offence" (in other words the immigration gave me a trumped up charge.) There was no overstay involved, Would I be able to come back fairly quick? maybe 3 months?
  19. I am actually waiting now to be flown back to Penang
  20. Probably unlucky and have met an immigration officer on a bad day.

  22. Does anyone know how long it is before you can go back to Thailand when you got refused entry at the airport?
