where's these 100k cases a day because of songkran? because the songkran figures will have started to come in by now. oh what a surprise! the usual scaremongering that every country has taken since this pandemic started

@KanchanaburiGuy while i definitely agree. its also easier for students to do nothing, but in the classroom they can't get away with that as they do online. hiding behind a screen with the camera closed and the mic closed.

All thailand students should get zero, they've had a two year holiday, cuz online teaching is about as much use as a solar-powered torch!

Thailand's version of an endemic i think will be a lot different than most countries. thailand will still have restrictions of some sort, with the mask mandate definitely still in place. that covid theatre will be hard to ever give up for the thai's

by july it will be an endemic but unfortunately its Thailand's version of an endemic. that will be interesting to see, although it wouldn't surprise me if the date of july is put back anyway.

@RichardColeman is that the science that says children are in the lowest risk group? and if they catch it, it's unlikely they would have anything but mild symptoms, and the science that says that children are more at risk from flu than covid. have you made them have the flu jab as well?

@transamsame as the n word was used throughout the 60s and 70s because they know no better and are ignorant. as someone said in another post, ive been with thais and they know my name and still refer to me as farang, so how is that not derogatory!

@Mickc exactly. they will still refer to you as farang even when they know your name, which to me proves all thais use it in a derogatory way. im not offended by it but it just reminds me of what thai really think of us.

easy to say it will be an endemic but still have restrictions in place. pointless statement as it will change nothing. maybe they will ease restrictions slightly but the masks will without doubt still have to be worn on public transport and shops, if we're really lucky they might drop the wearing outside of masks but I absolutely guarantee they will not drop the mask wearing for anything else. ill eat my hat if they do. and they will still have the temp checks everywhere and sanitizer everywhere. and it will be interesting to see if they finally officially open bars and clubs and drop the ridiculous 11pm closing time, cuz if they don't its a complete joke to call it an endemic. and watch the date get moved back from july as well. apart from that everything will be dandy????
