Calls for restaurants in Pattaya to be allowed to serve alcohol
paulikens replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
maybe they should have got angry 18 months ago, they only got themselves to blame, the pushback should have been as soon as they started locking down when they barely had any covid (supposedly!) -
and most wont pass so most of them wont be opening. and the ones that do will be shut within a month, as its inevitable they will find cases and then it will be the usual knee jerk reaction. a vicious circle of opening and shutting will ensue for quite a while, till they have to accept to live with it.

paulikens replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Bangkok News
@brewsterbudgen well I'm going on what feedback I've had off the schools I've been in contact with and they're all carrying on online teaching, and also its inevitable that there will be cases breaking out in schools, so if its the usual knee jerk reaction here, the schools that are open will be shutdown again -

Ministries say some schools to reopen November 1st
paulikens replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
complete tosh. most schools I know are going to be carrying on online teaching for at least next month and no doubt the ones that do open will have a few cases and then they will shutdown. the usual knee jerk reaction here. has he actually spoke to any schools? -
70% is very dubious. from what I've heard the schools are unlikely to open in November in Bangkok, so why is that? if 70% of the population are vaccinated. I call BS

anyone whos coming november.. you're just encouraging the government to keep all the ridiculous rules in play and keeping anything that's fun shut. apart from people wanting to see their family (although you could have been doing that since last year, and if you was waiting on quarantine to stop, your family obviously dont meant that much to you!) anyone else thanks a bunch.
