  1. Yet more false equivalency. There is a mountain of evidence for the January 6th committee and absolutely nothing on Biden. However, like all non- Trump fans on this site, I’ll support a conviction IF they do miraculously come up with something to indict Biden. The law is the same for everyone and Biden isn’t above it. I have yet to hear one single Trump fan say the same.
  2. Wow, you went full conspiracy there. Everyone knows you never go full conspiracy.
  3. To be fair it's only really been this pronounced because of Trump. Obama V MCain wasn't as bad (apart from the racists of course), Bush V Gore, Clinton V George W were much more about policy and GOP v Dem. Identity politics have becaome the norm now in America, mostly because of Trump.
  4. If you have Netflix, watch Ordinary Men, a fascinating documentary on the atrocities ordinary people will commit on the instructions of the state. It’s a lesson in the dangers of the hold over people that extremism can do and how they will willingly commit heinous acts with ease and how they justify it to themselves.
  5. Don’t disagree and perhaps “teens included” was the wrong phrase. I was however commenting mostly on tourist prices v online prices rather than where Thai teens get their weed.
  6. This just in. Your man is a fraudster. https://edition.cnn.com/2023/09/26/politics/trump-organization-business-fraud/index.html I take it this is just another “weaponization of the justice system” or witch hunt against an innocent man in yours and other cultists eyes.
  7. And here’s yet another reason (how many more do these people need) that this man is nothing more than a con artist. The judge has already said he’s liable for fraud. Will it make a difference? I guess not.
  8. EVERYONE should find fault with Trump. Even the GOP!
  9. Yet more obfuscation in your never ending quest to justify voting for Trump. It wouldn't matter who the Dems put up, the MAGA brigade and their GOP cohorts would find fault. The even found fault with Obama's beige suit for gods sake. If it was Gavin Newsome then it would just be some demonising of his liberal agenda to the point where some smear campaign would appear probably joined by some petty name calling by Trump; it's either sleepy Joe or Commie Newsome - your choice America! It's the Trump/GOP way after all. How about focusing on policy for a change - oh that's right, Trump doesn't have any. Try and find me an election manifesto for Trump 2024 that goes any deeper than just stating death penalty for drug dealers, voter ID checks, banning trans women from female sports and China, China, China? It's all problems with no solutions, that with a wave of his magic wand will all disappear when he becomes POTUS. It's all fairtytales with a few goblins thrown in for good measure. You buy too much into identity politics and think everything is about the POTUS and not the mechanics behind it. Trump is chaos personified and doesn't even pretend to hide it. All you got on Joe is he's old.
  10. The point (which seems to have completely eluded you) was that the original poster was talking about 700thb per gramme and all I was demonstrating was it's a LOT cheaper online. I would also add that kids aren't probably buying online (you need a credit/debit card/bank transfer which is usually beyond your average 15 year old) but that with VERY lax screening, it remains a viable option. That was the point. Nothing else. P.S. Having actually sampled the 150 thb per gramme available on Prikpot (unlike yourself), it's pretty good. Not my favourite but you get what you pay for.
  11. Entertaining as he is (in a clown like way), it's not the quality you really look for in the leader of the free world. Give me boring any day.
  12. I'll see your bad grandfather and raise you a pu$$y grabbing, porn star fuc&ing, charity defraudering con-man who is facing over 80 felony counts. There's shameful and there's SHAMEFUL. Guess which one Trump is?
  13. No Thai (teens included) or 'people in the know' are paying that kind of money. Those are tourist prices. You can go online with someone like Prikpot (big advertiser on this site) and get a gram for as little as 150 THB (when you buy 10). It also doesn't ask for proof of age so if you are serious about not selling to teens (a very good idea) then you need to start here. This is why you cannot buy alcohol online any more as tech savvy kids were getting their beers & spirits delivered. It'll be the same for weed.
  14. I like Joe Rogan and listen/watch to his podcasts all the time. He's pretty entertaining and has some interesting guests. I don't think he's particulalrly right-wing (although a lot of his audience are) and he has got into trouble in the past regarding covid and vaccinations (https://www.theatlantic.com/health/archive/2022/02/joe-rogan-covid-vaccine-misinformation/622040/) which he eventually had to backtrack on. He gives his OPINION and this is nothing more than that. If you looked at Trumps first couple of years you could quite easily argue he was riding the coat-tails of Obama who left a VERY healthy economy (https://www.factcheck.org/2017/09/obamas-final-numbers/) after possibly the largest financial meltdown in history (under a GOP government I may add). My issue with JR's take on this is the cherry picking. Trump was in power for 4 years and all JR is talking about is his first 2 years. That's a bit disingenuous as although Covid wasn't Trumps fault, many could argue he handled it dreadfully both in terms of health (largest number of deaths) and economically, adding more than any other POTUS to the national debt ($8 trillion overall but a large chunk BEFORE covid for his stupid tax cuts for the wealthy). His deregulation may have pleased business but it did very little for the protection of the environment and I certainly don't agree that 'the intelligence agencies colluding to keep a guy from being president........' Trump seems to have done a very good job of doing this to himself. Obviously the Trump devotees on here won't see it that way but these are FACTS not opinions so if you do want to counter, please try and do it with some facts of your own (I'm not holding my breath).
  15. I really don't understand why people like you and the many, many others who have decided to comment on this subject even bother. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about; Gordon Ramsay is a VERY successful chef with 58 restaurants throughout the world, many of which are awarded with a Michelin Star (super difficult to get). I reckon he might have a slightly better idea of good locations to set up shop in than you or all the other negative commentators here who's culinary expertise seems to only stretch to some Pad Thai, a home cooked steak or dodgy street food. Fine dining is not for everyone (including yourself) and that's ok. You and all the other negative commentators here are NOT his target demographic, but there are many in Bangkok (myself included) who are.
  16. Which is carbonated water
  17. You obviously have no idea what you are talking about. Do you know how difficult it is to be awarded even one Michelin star? GR has 17. Just stick to your Pad Thai and your burgers. That’s your lane.
  18. Exactly. Against many who thought it a terrible idea, Russia was already “appeased” when it invaded Georgia, resulting in the occupation of Abkhazia and South Ossetia in 2008. It then annexed Crimea in 2014. The invasion of Ukraine then came as little surprise to many. If Putin is allowed to take even a part of Ukraine then what? Does anyone really think he will rest at that? He has openly admitted he wants Russia back to being an imperial power and that includes recovering all “lost” territories. As the wise saying goes; if we don’t learn from history then we are doomed to repeat it.
  19. It absolutely is Indiana Mom of 2 Dies from Water Toxicity on Vacation (people.com)
  20. Is anyone really surprised with this? In my books, she ranks alongside Gaetz and Marjorie T-G in the bottom of the league for morality and decent behavour. I wonder where she got that from?
  21. You're welcome. I've never understood why some people tar a whole sub-set of people simply by the VERY few they have personally met. Thailand is what you make of it. If you go around looking for negativity then you will most certainly find it and if you choose to hang out in sleezy bars, you'll definately meet some sleezy people. There are plenty of nice places in Thailand to hang out IF you choose to look. Sadly I think the OP has convinced himself that the problem is Thailand and not him personally as has been evident in his many, many mostly negative comments (including this one) on Thailand.
  22. Just finished thanks for asking. Shot an 88 which I’m happy with. Was good because it had bigger fairways. Not as big as the chip on your shoulder mind you.
  23. And you wonder why you’ve no friends.
  24. You are so myopic in your viewpoint it is of little wonder you struggle here in Thailand. I don't 'hang around in Michelin star style restaurants' but I have been to a few. And yes I can (like many expats here) afford to pay 4k for a meal - it doesn't mean that I'm 'hi so farang' (whatever that is), it just means I've done well in my career and can afford the better things in life. Normally though it's a beer and a game of pool at one of the many 'good' bars in Bangkok, with other ex-pats who I have a lot of time for (they're there if you care to look). I play a lot of golf and I'm in lots of golf society's and I run a regular cards night for close friends. However, I can slum it in Nana with the best (and often do) but the point is I don't just hang out doing the same thing over and over again. Bangkok is a big city and you get to choose your life accordingly. If you hang out constantly in the 'low-life' areas then as I said, expect to run into a whole heap of low lifes.
  25. It's you. If you went to any council estate in Glasgow for example (my home town), you would be forgiven for thinking that every Glaswegian is an alcoholic, violent low-life who would rather head-butt you than say hello, when of course there are many areas of Glasgow where the vast majority of Glaswegians are quite the opposite. Location, surroundings, environment have a tendency to dictate the calibre of person you meet, so if you hang out in low-life areas, don't be surprised to bump into a few low-life's. 'Good expats' don't hang out in these places. We go to nice bars and nice restaurants and stay well clear of the underbelly of Thailand for exactly this reason. You just need to widen your sphere of influence and circle of friends and understand that out of the many millions of ex-pats here in Thailand, the VAST majority are normal, hard-working guys who don't 'come off as con men/wrong uns' but good guys who are enjoying everything Thailand has to offer. However I doubt you will take this advice as you seem to revel in putting Thai's down and commenting on matters such as this. You've mentioned in a previous post that you are looking to leave Thailand. I think that's a good idea for you.
