Are you comfortable with being treated like a walking ATM?
It certainly does but as richard_smith above has mentioned, if you go around life looking for negatives, you will most certainly find them. Personally I think you're negativity problem is just the symtom of a bigger underlying problem and I say this with all sincerity and I hope you take it in the constructive manner it is offered, but I think you need to talk to a professional. We have all experienced the things you talk about but most of us don't take it to heart the way you do. You could be experiencing some major/minor psycological problems and I don't think it would do you any harm to talk it all through with a professional rather than keep coming on a forum such as AN, looking for support.

Thaksin helicoptered to Police Hospital at 3am after feeling ill says Department of Corrections
I beg to differ. They have fought MANY times for democracy only to be ruthlessly crushed by the military. I was here in 2010 when it all kicked off and I saw running battles in the street. Over 80 civilians and 6 soldiers died in that 'fight' so don't think they haven't tried.

You can try improving your personality and stop judging a whole nation by the actions of only a few. Oh, and while you're at it, you might want to expand your circle of 'friends'. Whoever you are hanging out with do not seem to be the best representation of Thailand.

Is anyone really surprised about this? I have an office full of Thais who told me this was going to happen YESTERDAY! Now I'm either employing an awful lot of fortune tellers or this is the worst kept secret in Thailand.

I'm not really sure why you are even in Thailand. All your posts are VERY negative towards Thais.

Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
What a nonsense statement. It's absolutely right of Biden to use 'the LGBQ issue as a political tool' when the GOP is so blatantly making it one of their main election points. The GOP (and only the GOP) are trying to ban drag queens and censor books that have even the smallest reference to LGBTQ. They are banning school discussions on sexual orientation and are trying to ban Pride Flags from government buildings. They are putting restrictions on gay and transgender rights and in many cases, many GOP congressmen/senators are now openly opposing same-sex marriage. Biden 'using the LGBQ issue as a political tool' is entirely because of the GOP taking an extreme stance in it's continued effort to make identity politics in America the ONLY issue that voters should care about. They don't really care about LGBTQ rights one way or another though, they do howver care that it seems such a hot button issue for many of their supporters.

That's been his common sentiment throughout this thread. A fluffy, pearl clutching version of 'she was asking for it'.

And talking about victim blaming.................

'Not to victim blame' - then predictably continues to victim blame.

Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
This has EVERYTHING to do with the GOP. Why do you think it’s headline news?

Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
Hard to bring down the “moral standards” of Bishopbriggs but I agree. Resentment masquerading as religion with a good splattering of tribalism. After all, Everyone wants to belong. Weve both seen how incendiary rhetoric can incite an illogical level of hatred and this GOP crusade doesn’t help. It invigorates the homophobe, the religious nutter, the right-right of right into this kind of abhorrent action. It’s handy for a cultural war though and that’s exactly why the GOP will keep on it mercilessly. Expect more or worse than this to come.

Yeah! For Gods sake don't stick up for your beliefs or your morals or advocate for peace and love for fear of being attacked by intolerant, hate-filled bigots who can only opress through violence. If we all did what you suiggested there would be no womans vote, slavery would still be a thing and no workers would have any rights anywhere in the world.

I think I would disagree on this part Chomper. I think the GOP and right wing media are on a crusade to demonise the LGBTQ community resulting in a 52% increase in anti-L.G.B.T.Q. hate crimes around the country in 2022 means it could easily just be someone 'being upset at seeing an LGBTQ+ flag'. Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
I did mention in my original post saying 'excluding N.I.' (Northern Ireland) which is basically what the Rangers v Celtic fued is really all about. The original poster said 'But you can certainly be attacked for displaying the British flag in Britain' which most certainly wasn't about Rangers v Celtic and was more infering that 'ordinary' British citizens are getting targeted for flying the Union Jack. I was calling BS on that.

Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
I am from Glasgow and I'm a Celtic fan and have been to many games so I can speak with some authority when I say that sort of incident has absolutely nothing to do with flying a Union Jack flag and everything to do with warped religous affiliations.

Man kills shopkeeper in US state of California after disparaging Pride flag
You've really excelled yourself in your posts so far but let's take soem of your points one at a time. "But you can certainly be attacked for displaying the British flag in Britain'. Didn't happen. I couldn't find one instance of someone in the UK being attacked for flying the Union Jack (excluding N.I.). 'Unfortunately LGBTQ++ issues have become very politicized and quite vitriolic on both sides of the debate, while also offending various religious groups'. No they haven't. In America, they have become 'vitrolic' almost exclusively through the GOP (DeSantis in particular) and right wing media. '.....her decision to firstly to fly the flag and secondly to confront the individual who objected to it was very brave, but perhaps somewhat foolhardy' - this is the very definition of victim blaming. 'Strange that there are no details about the killer. No name, no photo. I wonder if his identity doesn't fit the narrative? ' Pure Tucker Carlson there with your inference of 'doesn't fit the narrative'. What narrative would that be then (that we can't already guess)? 'You may be aware but homosexuality is not promoted by various religions (Christianity, Islam etc.).' Irrelevant. It's perfectly legal to fly a rainbow flag in the US so it's the attacker who is completely at fault. 'I am not suggesting she deserved it. Far from it, I think it is a terrible incident and condolences to her family. I am merely stating that people should be aware that by flying their Pride flag or any other flag with potentially divisive political/religious connotations they run the risk (rightly or wrongly) of offending certain people.' So what's the solution? Do we all have to kowtow to the religous extremist or the uneducated right wingers who threaten violence rather than dialogue? Should everyone stop expressing their perfectly legal support for a minority group for fear of retribution from some nutter with an agenda? The most divisive flag in the world right now is probably the Stars and Stripes yet I don't see you telling people they 'run the risk of offending certain people' by flying it outside their door. Your whole response smacks of 'well if you're stupid enough to fly a flag in support of the LGBTQ comminity then you kinda only have yourself to blame'. And you're not kidding anyone with your faux pearl clutching whilst you're doing it.

Is Karma real?
You need to seek some help. That is just not normal behavior.

Is Karma real?
As has been pointed out to you by many posters here, what you did wasn't karma; it was vengeance. Not to mention the illegality of stealling a wallett, stealing a phone, instigating violence on a stranger and shaming a dying man on social media. If you can't see for yourself how wrong all of these things are then there really is no helping you.

World chess federation bars transgender women from competing in women's events
Thanks for your post. At first glance I had a tendency to go with other posters and question the advantage a trans chess player would have over female players (pretty obvious in other sports where physicality is a factor) but your post has cleared that up. It also reminds me that as amazing as Venus and Serena Williams are, they still couldn't beat a man ranked 203 in the world. I'm all up for trans rights but when it comes to sport, the physical (and now mental) superiority of men means trans women should never be allowed to compete with 'natural' women. Thankfully most sporting bodies are now seeing this as well and imposing similar bans.

Is Karma real?
So you stole a guys wallett, a young girls phone, had a go at a dying man on social media for all his family and friends to see and instigated violence on a complete stranger? That's not karma, that's just psychotic behaviour.

Man who threatened Biden shot dead in FBI raid in Utah
You seem particularly fixated on this 6 am part. You do realise the FBI and all law enforcement prefer to do raids at sunrise for some very good and obvious reasons:- 1) it is dark outside and easier to approach unnoticed 2) most people are asleep and therefore at home. 3) sleeping people are easier to creep up on, and take longer to wake to an alert state to be combative 4) some agencies have night vision devices and/or other tech that gives them an advantage in low light/darkness 5) there is generally fewer people up and about so less likely there will be collateral damage. I think it's fairly obvious to state the 'safety' of the target is far less important than the safety of innocents and their own safety.

You should only be worried about getting raided by the Fashion Police! ????

What % of farangs in Thailand are worth talking to?
Well certainly not you. However, I would like to think I give credance to anyone with a good point who can argue their stance with facts and logic (something you struggle with). But your post wasn't about "friends' on AN but farangs in Thailand in general and you have again shown your intolerance for others which by sheer coincidence you also show here on AN.

Trump charged with four counts over 2020 election
You're not being attacked; you're being debated and very effectively if I may say. You are just full of straw-man arguments, deflections and ad homien nonsense such as this. You haven't brought up one salient point regarding the topic in hand other than you like the fact Trump pi$$es people off and for that reasona and that reason alone you feel the need to argue the point, often without a point. We are not 'Biden Biddy's' but we also aren't Trump fans either. What we are is bringing up facts and figures to try and demonstrate why this man is facing the charges he currently is and how unsuccessful he was as a one-term POTUS. Try and stick to the topic. It might help your cause.
