Frenchfarangfries, I've seen lower prices than that around BKK but not in the popular downtown areas. Try a place outside of the tourist traps for a better price. But does it even work? I think to really see results you need to go many times. The adverts are full of bull.

Seems like a lot of these medical/costmetic treatmetns that show promise really don't live up to their hype. I don't mean the ridiculous stuff either. The whitening of teeth via laser, propencia for male pattern baldness, all the weightloss drugs, the cholesterol drugs, laser surgery on eyes. Does anything work? Is aspirin even good for anything anymore?

Thailand should do something about the fugitives and deadbeats. It won't be easy as they tend to get in with figures who can help them. I would guess most of their helpers don't know who they are or don't care. Connections mean everything here and once you have them you can do anything. Ask Thaksin.

For me there's one thing which I like that I don't have that often. It's called mum. It's a sausage that comes from Issan which is especially popular in the Chaiyaphum - Khon Kaen Area. They also have it in Korat to I guess. It's different from the average Isaan sausage. It's made from beef and tastes a bit sour. I believe theyt also make it with pork too. Has anyone ever had it? It's hard to find outside of Isaan because not that many people from other provinces take to it. As it's usually made from beef I would guess that a lot of Thais won't eat it.

I agree with skippy about the northern Thais and Chinese being affected more. A lot of older women turn to curling their hair to cover up the fact that its thin.

The Thai people I hear from are upset by the fact that the guys who did a lot of the rough stuff against the protesters don't regret it. One of them said he will do it again. Thaksin doesn't seem upset that people are willing to use violence for him. Don't forget that the Thai police and others killed thousands of civilians during the past few years. 2,000 plus were killed during Thaksin's war on drugs and many were killed in the south. The killers are in the police force. Punching and beatings are nothing to killers.

I think it is expensive but I don't see how it can be wrong so long as they aren't discriminating. Why is it that some people should make loads of money and have great lives for doing little while others can't. If the sellers want to sell things at high prices to desperate buyers let them. That's exactly what the oil companies do. Many of the world's haves have because they have pushed the limits. They sold Enron before it collapsed. Sold insurance using fear as their marketing tool. They sued for eating bad food. They used their connections to get access to benefits others could not. They just have unlimited access to loans to attempt whatever they want. Life isn't fair. It never has been. Some people are just learning this and they want more.

Why doesn't anyone complain about land prices. The real people exploiting Thailand are the stinking dirty land owners who charge excessive amounts to rent their space. When will the police investigate this. Why don't the police investigate the haves for once.

When people try to overcharge because of who you are its wrong. When it happens it just makes me angry at Thailand in general. I support you when you are a victim of discrimination but not when you want a poor somtam vendor to sell their somtam at 15 baht a plate so you can enjoy your easy lifestyles. If you really think people should work for nothing like slaves, vote for Thaksin; he's your man.

Did this once just for one scene. It was an interesting experience. They say you shouldn't show you r face too much or they won't be able to use you in other scenes. It was a vietnam war movie. All the black guys were Nigerians from KaoSan. I would guess this is going to be something we will be renting eventually. Nicholas Cage does some pretty exciting action movies. I would say no matter what just if you need to go to the embassy be prepared and just be honest. You might be pleasantly surprsed. Stay positive. Worrying will get you no where. And if you want to have a life with the guy over there you had better follow the law and return after a visit. Nowadays the government is cracking down on those who overstay. Best of luck.

What do the bargirls have to lose? Bargirls aren't slaves but many factory workers are. I wonder if a girl who leaves the 10-hour a day factory job is really a runaway slave? A lot of the people who use the cheap labor here don't like to lose their employees. Many of those who 'have' in Thailand will even hire illegals if they can have more in their fat wallets. Send a letter to the embassy anonymously that you will be wearing a camera to your interview just in case you get caught. If you don't get caught who cares about the visa sell the story to the BBC as lack of security at embassies.
