I think two options, either find a nursing home for him here. But that might be difficult if he doesn't want to cooperate. Or get him assessed by a physiatrist and if the physiatrist concurs with you, your Dad can then be placed into your care to take home or placed in to a nursing home here.
Definitely avoid immigration, police etc.

Nothing much to add apart from stay away from spraying. Use the gels if possible and let the ants take the bait home to kill the nest.

Your story is heartbreaking. You would have thought that there would be some kind of compassionate or medical grounds that would allow for her to stay. Especially since the Thai's have so much respect for their elders! Afterall, it's not like she is a burden to the state. Good luck with the future, I hope life is easier for Mom and you, once she is in the Philippines.

Religion is a form of control, it also gives some people stature and wealth. Worst of all it makes people think they are better than anything else on this planet, which is why they are happy to kill / destroy other creatures that co-inhabit the planet without a second thought.
Not to mention of course the millions of people that have been killed, murdered, raped, torchered, disfigured etc in God's / Allah's or whatever you want to call the invisible persons name.So I'm happy not believing in a god that would allow all that to happen in their name. Because if it exists. It's not really a nice god is it. More satanic really.

Never carry it. Never asked for it. Photo ID, such as drivers license is enough when local to home. Heading away to a hotel then i send them a scan of my passport via email and check in using my license. Zero problems.

Domestic flights only need photo ID not a passport.

Thank you for your reply, it was very re-assuring. For the record although I have used the term 'partner' we are not married although it has been discussed. I did not use the term g/f because of our respective ages.
I would also add that if she is disrespecting you in public, then she is making you losing face and as you probably know. Face is very important here and she knows it.
So I agree with many others here, especially the advice given by stephenterry. Sadly time to move on and don't make the same mistakes. Good luck.

Ticks and fleas don't like tea tree oil, so you can also put tea tree oil mixed with water and spray the coat and bedding. You can also use it on yourself as it stops mosquitoes biting. There is also a product called Germxit sold in Thailand that can be used in the house / car etc which is also made from tea tree oil.

That happened to me once, when I went to immigration. I told them it was lost, told them the date last reported and they checked the computer. After a few seconds the office said ok, no problem and gave me my new 90 day. No hassle.

Depends on their upbringing I guess. My wife and all her sister are very clean and keep their homes spotless and uncluttered. Don't think it's a cultural thing. It's what their parents teach them, just like everywhere else.

You also need to check what you work as. Because some businesses and positions can only be taken by Thais.
Further to protect yourself. The general rule here is once your shareholding is set up it will be a max 51 - 49% in your wife's favour. If you want to make your position stronger break her share down so you have two Thai partners. 25 and 26% shareholding and you 49%. May sound harsh but it offers you more protection.
What ever you do, once set up take the document and lock them away from everyone. Even from your beloved future wife.
Sadly ive hear of too many expats get ripped off by their wives and families. Not all I might add but too many are reported so id hate to thing of the ones that aren't.
Good luck. And i hope she is the one for you.

The home owner should but often don't and then you get fined. If you live in Samut Prakan then you will know they are very heavy handed on this issue and won accept any excuses, even valid ones.

Hundreds - really? Can I ask how you know this as not something I have heard from any of my friends who travel in out and go to Jomtien for 90 day reports.
Also if UJ is correct then they have been charging double what it should be and I would have thought this would have been picked up but seems not.
Did you get a receipt?
I've also been told by immigration that if I go somewhere, even if its just over night, the house owner needs to report my departure from my place of residence and my arrival back! However I have to report to Samut Prakan immigration and they love to fine you for anything and some of them are really aggressive for some reason.

Hope it works better than the online 90 report. Tried it many times, successful only once. Now given up.
What I want to see is the total streamlining of the visa process, especially for those people that work or live here. Ideally a 5 Non Imm O & B year visa, no 90 day reporting if you haven't changed address and stop having to give the same pile of documents on each visit. Only give documents that have changed. E,g, Tax, Social etc

Love in Thailand is not the western type of love, its more security for her and her family. So yes she loves you, your money and the security that she thinks she might get from you / your money.

I did mine yesterday, tried before without success but yesterday it worked. A friend of mine also did his without issues but you have to use Explorer.

Thai's are allowed to buy property, land and 100% ownership of businesses without restriction. Therefore if Thai's can do it in other countries then foreigners should be allowed the same rights in Thailand.

Reminds me of those yellow stars three generations ago - for religious reasons though at that time - very, very scary as it also could communicate the lawlessness
Took the words right out of my mouth.

Luckily the bin men were only slightly injured, I'm sure their families were worried sick. Hope they have a full and speedy recovery.

I agree, I think China has Putins back. If it kick off you will see Russia and Chna together.
-
Thai pork doesn't come close to matching the quality of Canadian pork. Russia is taking what it can get right now.
Add the expense to that due to the crashed ruble, and Putin must be shirting himself. If anyone ever wanted to see a rogue state taken down without firing a shot we're living it.
In Austria you can buy very fat pork for very low price now. Pork Austria can't sell to Russia. I doubt Putin is too concerned about the pork quality. But in Europe the farmer aren't happy.
A loose-loose for everyone (beside China).
In the end it will be a win for the West. Putin was getting too big for his britches and it was obvious that his new oil money was making it possible for him to have a goal of rebuilding the USSR. His dealings with Ukraine have been enough to show what he really is.
Today he couldn't afford to buy a sandwich at a lunch counter in the Ukraine. The West and Saudi Arabia (pissed at him for meddling in Syria) have driven the price of oil into the cellar destroying his income, and sanctions are hurting his ability to feed his people even if he had the money.
Triple whammy: Oil prices crash jerking his income away, the ruble crashes doubling that problem, and sanctions from the West cut off many things he needs even if he had the money to buy.
Russia is Communist and responsible to feed its people. We are indeed watching an interesting show by the West.
Check the situation in Ukraine, Putin could still buy half the Ukraine. It is the most broken down country of Europe. Alone the debts the Ukraine has in the West makes a win of the West very expensive. If the goal of the West is conquer the world and establish a world government than it would be a win for the West. Else a win would be a loose. It would be way better to give the Ukraine for Putin, if he pays back their debts....
I doubt (and I could be wrong on that) that China let Putin loose. If Russia loose China is the next target, so I wouldn't be surprised that when the Russian Ruble lost 80 % China start to buying it and stabilizing it. (And making the next huge profit, when its value increases again).
But of course I could be complete wrong, who knows for sure?
Is this snake a Malayan Pit Viper?

Yes its a python, not really dangerous. The bite is painful, but its not poisonous and generally the are not aggressive.
There are groups on facebooks that are for identifying snakes and educating people about Thai snakes. This one is Bangkok but they have them for other regions too.
