  1. He gave a 1,000 baht note to Bunnark's son to go and buy a bottle of lao khao (white spirit) to celebrate.

Tawee returned with the alcohol and returned the 940 baht change to Nikom. Then a drinking session began. Nikon got so paralytic by the end of the session that Tawee had to virtually carry him home to his house and bed.

On 60 bahts worth of booze. Wow they are cheap dates.

  2. There are lots of professional Thai women who go out sleeping around. Some even work as part time prostitutes to boost their income. One I heard about was a Bank Manager at SCB.

Line is not Facebook and you can either use the wall which can be public or not, or just use it as private messaging.  Most Thai people I know that use line keep it private and don't allow their details to be public.

So make your own mind up about these "ladies" and their stories.

Tried to teach my wife the Heimlich manoeuvre, she had never heard of it. Questioning other village Thais I know, none of them knew anything about it. As far as I can tell, it's never mentioned or taught in school, so this man may have been a victim of that lack of general knowledge.

    Tell me about it.

Mind you, they don't teach first aid at any school. Here or in the west. They would rather teach that an invisible man is always watching you. He is all powerful, but will only save you when your dead, (if you do as your told) and for some reason he needs your money!

  4. I use a device called Pico. It's from south Korea and measures PM 2.5 ug/m3, PM10 ug/m3, Temperature, Humidity %, Total VOC ppb, Total CO2 ppm. Its very accurate!

Costs about $100 USD and uses the latest technology, which was developed by the Korean Institute of Technology . It attaches to your smartphone and also uses local data too, so you can compare.

Don't buy cheap chinese ones that only measures PM2.5, you need more info then just that. Plus Made in China, should give you an indication off their quality.

Here is their email address if your interested (공용)고객서비스센터 [email protected]

Here's a scheme that needs to be heavily promoted throughout Thailand before it gets buried in its own garbage, perhaps some of the tank, sub money could be diverted, na, wishful thinking.

I agree wholeheartedly, this is a great initiative and others need to be encouraged to follow suit, plus make some money out of it. Which will be the main incentive for them.

  6. Seriously..... Tourists ??

The rules of the road should applied to all equally and unfortunately, in general its Thai drivers and motorcyclists that break the rules and get killed or injure / kill others.

So please look closer to home Maj-Gen Ekkaluk Limsangkat and stop blaming tourists or expats. Plus the point system will not work on tourists, so they need to pay the fine at the police station immediately and get a receipt, not to the cop, who will pocket it.

    Simple really!
