Noooo. NATO is saving us money. Instead of having to pay money to decommission old equipment we send it to Ukraine and buy brand new equipment for our military. Joe Biden was quite brilliant--saved taxpayers money and upgrades the u s of a to fresh equipment. What's punk Donnie done lately besides suck up to our nation's enemy Russia? π -
Baghdad Bob makes bold claims about his camel's virginity. π Throughout his political career, former President Donald Trump has frequently campaigned on promises to end ongoing wars and avoid new military engagements. Notably, during his 2016 presidential campaign, Trump criticized U.S. involvement in Middle Eastern conflicts and pledged to bring American troops home. Similarly, in his 2024 campaign, he vowed to end the war in Ukraine swiftly, initially claiming he could achieve this within 24 hours of taking office. However, he later clarified that this statement was "a little bit sarcastic," expressing a desire to settle the conflict successfully. π

"Hillary Clinton has recklessly handled classified information in an attempt to avoid accountability and put American lives at risk." --Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has previously criticized Hillary Clinton's handling of classified information, 2016 Why won't you people learn we're hypocrites with no moral values? HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO TELL YOU The rules don't apply to us. We think our π© don't stink. π

The Bottom 4% of income earners living too high on the hog for you? π You might be surprised to learn that's why Trump never showed his tax returns. He was paying even less. But that's OK if Rich People pay less, correct? You do realize some corporations pay zero, right? π -
According to Deep Stupid 2.0 and 1.0, as deep as Biden's basement. π During the 2024 campaign, former President Donald Trump frequently criticized President Joe Biden for running a "basement campaign," suggesting that Biden was avoiding public appearances and campaign events. This narrative echoed Trump's 2020 criticisms, where he accused Biden of campaigning primarily from his basement during the COVID-19 pandemic.

I'm so old I remember when... I could name every car on the road Cadillac, Chevrolet, Buick, Pontiac, Lincoln, Chrysler and Ford. Now everybody's driving SUV's and they all look the same Mountain monsters, land-eaters, all kinds of old crazy names. Every time I see a "Land Rover" I know the only land they "rove" are shopping mall parking garages. And they're probably leasing it because it's a maintenance nightmare. And they're probably a Republican influencer Real Estate agent living beyond their means. π -
On Monday, Fox News anchor John Roberts praised Goldberg hours after publishing the bombshell report. βI would think that there are probably worse people that you could text your secret plans to" Yeah, you got to see it. π Top Secret Intel broadcast on unclassified internet where any hacker could see it. And it was revealed only when they mistakenly included a journalist. Can you imagine the royal <deleted> ups these clowns have done that haven't been revealed yet? π

Middle Class Americans used to be able to afford a family vacation. Then they went to Florida and saw how white trash and redneck it was there. Have fun in your inflatable pool this year kids. We're saving money so you don't have to go to college at Florida State π -
Just Top Secret War plans discussed on the internet where any hacker can easily see them. You morons still trying to pretend this level of stupidity is "normal" PS. Can Americans afford vacations anymore?
SiSePuede419 replied to SiSePuede419's topic in US & Canada Topics and Events
Yup. π During the 1960s and early 1970s, many middle-class American families experienced significant economic prosperity, which enabled them to afford annual family vacations. This period is often referred to as the "golden age" of family vacations, characterized by road trips and explorations across the country. The post-World War II era saw substantial income growth across various economic strata. * From 1950 to 1960, the mean income for families increased at an average annual rate of 2.9%, with the lowest income quintile experiencing a 3.7% annual increase. *This upward trend continued into the 1960s, with income growth accelerating to an annual rate of 4.9% for the lowest income quintile. *However, the economic landscape began to shift in the mid-1970s. Two recessions during this decade slowed family income growth to an average annual rate of 0.9%. Despite this deceleration, the overall financial stability of many middle-class families during the early part of the decade still allowed for discretionary spending on activities such as vacations. It's important to note that while many middle-class families could afford annual vacations during this era, not all had the financial means to do so. Economic disparities persisted, and factors such as regional cost of living, family size, and individual financial obligations influenced the ability to allocate funds for leisure travel. In summary, the economic prosperity of the 1960s and early 1970s enabled a significant portion of middle-class American families to afford annual vacations. However, this trend was influenced by broader economic conditions and individual financial circumstances. -

Back in the 60s and 70s a middle class family could afford a week or two vacation to drive the family station wagon and stay in a cheap roach infested hotel on some Florida beach and let the kids play on some White Trash redneck beach where they have a boardwalk with tshirts with feet one pair up one pair down (true story, I remember that as a kid) and still afford a day trip to Orlando back when prices were still reasonable. Yes. "Once in a lifetime" π -

So what? Once again anecdotes aren't facts. I had an analog cell phone, too. SO WHAT I WAS EXCEPTIONAL That wasn't typical. The majority of Americans didn't want crappy reception cell phones back then and still used landlines. I went landline free in 2001, never to return. That wasn't typical. My family thought I was a "drifter" because I didn't want a landline. It was unusual at the time, even by the early 00s. Only young people and innovative thinkers like myself were cord cutters. I guarantee you still had a landline in 2001 and cable TV. β Because you are a MAGA lemming. π -

So what? You're an elitist. In 1990, 95% of Americans DID NOT have a cell phone. Anecdotes aren't data. The majority of Americans didn't have analog cell phones even by 1999. It doesn't matter what your experience is. It wasn't typical. Anyone that says it was is lying. My grandfather smoked his whole life and lived to 90, so smoking isnβt dangerous. "Hasty generalization fallacy" π -

Another fool who thinks their opinion is superior to actual data. Nope. I was in the Midwest heartland in 1997 and most people there did not have ANALOG cell phones Most people used landlines. Yeah, lots of lonely farmers used AOL chat rooms. Had some Republican call me up because his wife called me trying to cheat on him. He said she worked 2nd shift at the slaughterhouse. You're out of touch Elitist. You're not rich and you are a snob. π€£ -

Bwahahahahahahahahahahaha. Donald Trump is known for his simple, direct, and sometimes childlike way of speaking. Here are five quotes that sound like something a little kid might say 1. "I'm, like, a really smart person." This sounds like a kid trying to convince their friends that they're the smartest in class. π 2. "I know words. I have the best words." Feels like a child boasting about their vocabulary in school.π 3. "It's gonna be great. So great. The greatest!" The kind of exaggerated enthusiasm a kid might have when talking about their birthday party.π 4. "Nobody knows more about [topic] than me." Sounds like a little kid insisting they know everything about dinosaurs or space.π 5. "I have a good brain and Iβve said a lot of things." Feels like something a kid would blurt out when trying to sound impressive in class. π -
