It's important to be non-judgemental and just distribute the available vaccine in a way that minimises transmission of the virus. It seems to me that vaccinating high-risk workers like prostitutes is an extremely good idea.
The government has recently announced that they have not been able to find any prostitutes in Thailand. So, who will they vaccinate?

PHUKET: Patong Beach remains devoid of visitors as COVID infections rise across the island and the spread of infections elsewhere in the country has sparked mass cancellations of planned trips to Phuket.
But next week there will still be a new tourism plan to open Phuket for business!

Thai media Daily News reported that Bangkokians were "fleeing Covid" in the capital heading out to the provinces.
This headline is incorrect! The correct headline is Bangkokians are "spreading Covid" to the provinces!

Perhaps the government can take a few of the baht budgeted for submarines and get the lead out on vaccinations. The rest of the world seems to be vaccinating like crazy but not Thailand. Vaccination is the only way to control the pandemic!

If just one million people from that group move to Thailand, each spending 100,000 baht per month or 1.2million baht per year, that would generate 1.2 trillion baht per year for the economy.
And if there are 1 million gullible retirees in the world I will be very surprised!

I have made my own here too, but I find it almost impossible to get white grape juice. The wine I do make, when I can be bothered, using red grapes, is as good as the 300 to 400 Baht bottles.
Please be aware that fermenting your own wine is illegal in Thailand. I know that a million Thais do it but as a farang you need to be careful.

The governor said the business value of cannabis and hemp could reach tens of billions of baht, which can compensate for a decline in tobacco income stemming from the tobacco tax structure.
The government finally admits that they have squeezed the tobacco cash cow too much!

So, the tips fund is not considered part of the wait-persons salary? Jeez, anything so the owner is not penalized equally!

“Please sign the petition so wealthy expats in Thailand don’t lose even more money”.
This sentence appeared out of the blue in this article. To my knowledge it is not the expats who would benefit from early vaccination but everyone! This jab at expats seems to be undeserved and is certainly racist in nature! We expats suffer with everyone else during the pandemic!

Having the recommended two doses would therefore cost 4,000 baht or a little under 100 UK pounds or about $US 133.
I guess that they will just double the price of the J&J vaccine since it is only a single dose.

It is a sad state of affairs when a twice impeached criminal still has support from the Republican party. His spread of lies seems to have no effect on his hypocritical conservative Christian and radical right base. The only constituency that he aids is the Trump family and radical conservative terror groups.
Fortunately, the only way any Republican can win is to take advantage of the electoral college's archaic rules. The USA is a republic and not a democracy. Unfortunately, the republicans have been able to take advantage of the minority provisions in the constitution to get elected many times while trailing in the popular vote.

I am always amazed that conscript armies are used for coups! It would seem to make sense that conscripts would not fire on the innocent! I guess the USA learned that is not true during Kent State.

True, my gf is a malay muslim and we have lived together for 5 years.
The countries that are mentioned are aberrations. Militant conservative muslims are slowly but surely moving to have Sharia laws enforced. Just a quick look at the Taliban should demonstrate the issue. Turkey was once a beacon of muslim tolerance, but no more!

The lack of covid-19 precautions is regrettable but I suspect that these musicians were just having a public jam. I think they were not paid and if that is the case no work permit should be required. My wife has gone to a few local jams that happened to be at a restaurant/bar. Musicians use these opportunities to play with others.
This reminds me of the great gambling raid in Pattaya on a bridge club!

I was on about; that if FBk is going to blanket-BlackOut all else that is important (including all those vicitimised Pages regarding OZ Charities/Hospitals/Personal Tributes etc etc) - then they can bluddywell block ALL the Leftist propaganda pages too!!
(if it good enough for the goose it is good for the gander)
What do leftist news reports have to do with Australia's attempt to tax the golden gooses (ie. Google and Facebook) for allowing their users to post local news sources. I think that if Oz decided to tax porn sites and leftist or rightist posts they would ban those too. The bottom line is that taxing internet companies is counter-productive.
Worst case scenario: Thailand faces 28,000 new COVID-19 cases PER DAY

Are you serious? That is the same attitude that allowed Covid to spread all over the USA during the Trump administration!
