  1. I sort of agree, but I have seen plenty of pocket doors here in higher end hotels and condos. RAZZ
  2. I just got a message from Wise. Bizarrely, the one sent yesterday which stated it would arrive on Thursday - is now arriving today ????‍♂️ RAZZ
  3. Exactly the same criteria as yesterday. UK Bank to Bangkok Bank, Funds for long-term stay in Thailand. 20 minutes earlier and higher value amount. Is that enough information? RAZZ
  4. Sent some money this morning at around 7.10am. Arriving this afternoon ????‍♂️ RAZZ
  5. Should check out Villa or ICONSIAM and see the 2000 baht strawberries and 1200 lettuce.
  6. Bangkok Bank, 7.30am this morning Thai time, Funds for long term stay. Last half a dozen times has transferred the same day - usually drops in my Bkk Bank account about 2.05pm. RAZZ

  8. Really don't know is going on with this app. Sometimes I send money in the am (around now at 7.30am) and it arrives in Thailand the same day. Other times the next day (like today) Bizarre. RAZZ
  9. To the OP and others. Check out Bangkok Pat. Has some great content. https://www.youtube.com/c/bangkokpat
  10. Because the last website was terrible and didn't work very well. Often rejected when registering eg. for using a non gmail email address. When you got a new yearly extension it would sometimes not accept the next 90 day report. I did 7 in a row then had to go in person. New website seems better (touch wood) Oh, and some people are too bone idle to do it. Not internet savvy. Or just like a day out ????
  11. Call me a cynic but I wonder if the OP is trying to promote their own YouTube channel? RAZZ
  12. Friend of my brother's owned a small 9 hole course in the UK. They made way more money (cash) from the driving range! RAZZ
  13. Had them in a house in the UK. Brilliant. Have to make sure you get a good sliding mechanism and decent handle you can get your fingers in. RAZZ
  14. How big is the condo? Pocket doors are a brilliant invention. I lived in a condo for three years, never used the bath. Having a bath with terrible water pressure is a waste of space. The amazing walk-in shower was used 4 times or more a day. RAZZ
  15. Had a full health check-up around January last year at Samitivej in China Town. They were doing special deals at the time as right in the middle of C-19. Couldn't fault it. https://www.samitivejhospitals.com/package/detail/Reward-Yourself-SVH#Pack1.1
  16. Get out of town to Lat Krabang near the Airport. 45 minutes drive into town via the Expressway. Robinson's and Paseo Mall, loads of restaurants and pubs. 20 minutes on the Airport link to Bkk.
  17. Does it not have to be translated and then get an official stamp from the MFA in Bangkok? RAZZ
  18. Where does the OP live in Bangkok...? I know about 20 shops that buy and sell. In Central World on the 5th Floor there are about 6 used watch shops. Tong Patek, Pappaya etc. The most friendly is Inter Watch opposite the book stall. Mostly miserable sods. This video shows where they are: RAZZ
  19. "Too hard" - typical Thai excuse to talk yourself out of doing things! 555 It's not that hard. Call them or visit. Does she still have her expired passport or know her old passport number? https://sydney.thaiembassy.org/en/page/89619-thai-passports?menu=5d847cc315e39c21b800619b If Oz is anything like the UK - there are Embassy "roadshows" where they issue passports at the Consulates around the country. If she has a valid Thai ID card why didn't she get a passport then? With a Thai ID the application should be pretty straight forward. https://www.mfa.go.th/en/page/thai-passport?menu=5f224eed9864ad7325088af2 https://www.axa.co.th/en/Passport-Office-Updated-Lists This link explains how to do it. You don't need passport photos anymore as there are "official" machines there to take pics, estimate height etc. https://www.thethailandlife.com/thai-passport-bangkok BTW - about one month ago the Mrs recently renewed her expired Thai passport here in Bangkok - there are many offices around town and we happened to go to the Temporary office in the MBK Centre...went on a Sunday...new passport arrived Wednesday. She was in and out in the time it took me to drink a coffee in the Starbucks downstairs. BTW 2 - My wife's British passport is in her married name. Her Thai passport in her maiden name (so no need to change all the Thai paperwork). Good luck. RAZZ
