For a few years I was on "O" marriage extensions and then this year I went to a retirement.
If I wanted to start a company/get a WP etc how would I go about getting these or an "O" married to a Thai wife extension?
Best regards

Actually well done Adam and TPN - seem you beat the other news outlets by a good couple of hours.

Exactly.
I was in a place on Soi Cowboy recently.
The "waitress" was pulling pints with a 2 inch head (or no head at all, just empty space). Then she was taking my glass away while I still had a couple inches of beer in it.
She told me to put my BKK Funcard (that they issued me a few weeks ago) back in my pocket cos allegedly they don't accept it anymore despite it still be advertised. Had to press her to actually accept it -- and she did.
I reckon they may be trying to make back lost income, but to treat customers like that. And then asking for a tip. Lol
All the while being: rude, a smartmouth, condescending, and strangely flirty (dunno how this combination came about).
The other waitress was steaming drunk and groping customers. Ok it's Soi Cowboy, I know, but this bar claims to be a safe haven from that. Maybe it was her BF who knows.
And to think: tourists choose to come HERE!! LOL
What bar ? Oasis?
I've been in there recently and they accepted the Bkk funcard (they don't even ask me anymore).
A month or so ago I complained because they had turned to aircon off because they were cold! (Got dirty looks but they turned it back on!)

To be clear I'd like a local seller.
TIA.

Any recommendations where to buy Cannabis seeds in Thailand?
Would prefer a local variety you can just plant outside.
It'll give me something to do.

From an academic perspective ( I’m married and probably a bit old) how about the swimming pool? I use a large pool at local hotel,am almost always the only farang there and frequently girls come to do poolside selfie shots ,even some provocative dancing (twerking !) . So you can see exactly "what you’re getting" and they’re mostly young and attractive!
I posit this as a potential tip rather than quoting from experience!Name that Pool! ????

170k is not outrageous.
A nice 2 bed condo in a good building is 60-100k a month in rent.

A decent explanation here:
https://www.samuiforsale.com/knowledge/thailand-land-title-deeds.html
In the Isaan countryside - there is a lot of land where the title is basically "squatters rights" and can be transferred to family members at the land office.
You can with the right amount of $$$ upgrade this land.

So, its up 125% on 2019 bookings , pre pandemic ? Don't believe it in the slightest ! BUT if they are talking about it being up 125% from March this year then that is probably true as they were just dribbling in then !
Exactly - I was in Samui in March and it was like a ghost town/zombie apocalypse in Chaweng.

There's always one clever so and so.
It makes a difference what bank in Thailand you send to and what reason you send for.

Tried to renew mine in Feb before it ran out.
Told to wait in a "farang" queue until July!
Driving licence now expired.

It is not about the price, it’s all about the location!
Whilst I agree...I am making the point that Thailand is not "cheap" for a lot of things. Even the "obvious" ones ????

I am currently holidaying in the UK for the first time in 3 years.
Some things are not that different in price to Bangkok.
In central London a pint of Guinness in a pub is about 240 baht, burger and chips about 550.
I think the days of mass tourism in Thailand are gone.
Fashion and tastes change. People move on.
Thailand is not the cheap destination it was 15-20 years ago.
In real terms it has probably doubled in price for Brits.

Postpaid or prepaid?
Enable international roaming (*125*1#SEND), just in case you need to receive an OTP via SMS. They only use an OTP SMS for some activities, can't recall which exactly, maybe when you change any limits?
Maybe turn off mobile data unless you add on a roaming data plan.
You will need internet/data access (WiFi, or mobile data) to sue the app.
Install and familiarize yourself with the MyAIS mobile app.
I use the mobile app quite often here, to pay bills and transfer money to other BBL and SCB accounts. I only need to enter my mobile app PIN, or use fingerprint.
Which type or style of ATM Debit card do you have? Assuming UnionPay then the ATM must display that logo.
I'd review the terms and conditions of your specific card.
I have the AIS Pre-paid.
ATM card is Be1st Smart with a Mastercard logo.

For the first time in 3 years I am leaving Thailand to travel to Europe.
I have the Bangkok Bank Mobile app on my phone and I will need to transfer money from my UK bank account to myself to my Bangkok Bank account via Wise and then use the app to pay bills/give some money to Mrs Razz in Thailand etc.
My question is basically:
What do I have to do to make sure my app still works on my phone? I am on AIS.
Do I have to contact Bangkok Bank to tell them I am travelling?
Will my ATM work abroad?
Many thanks

Not sure.
But if you phone the Court list office surely they will tell you?

How do I change back? Do I have to leave Thailand and get another marriage "O"?
Or can I do it "in country"?
