  1. To pay for her tuition fees 🤣🤣🤣🤣. Clever girl 👍 Is this really a scam? Or just love gone wrong. The guy was obviously twitterpated with his young lady. Non of us have done this. Yeh right. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
  2. One thing I've learned in Thailand... Never be at the front of the pack at a red light... Hang back just in case there is a red light runner. Always LOOK for those same a+holes Motorbike rider never looked right. RIP 🙏
  3. So sad.. But so crazy in every way. That's some heavy duty tackle to retrieve a body! Yes it's an open area that goes into a deep hole. So stay away! To climb over a fence at nighttime... Into the unknown... Crazy. If he tripped and fell... Why was he so close to such a hazard? Bonkers all around Condolences to his family.
  4. Obviously not. Judge much? Your comment is insensitive and very judgmental.
  5. Events and proposals. That's all Thailand ever does about road safety. Shameful
  6. Wow. Reading all the comments from Thai people is interesting. Asking things like... Was she drunk... Why drive so fast... Did she have a license. The car driver is already guilty according to this lot. Yikes. No chance that the motorbike rider just didn't look 5555
  7. Yes I do. I was trying to support you. But nevermind
  8. I asked the same question to CNX air traffic control yesterday. I got a very curt reply, the gist of which was... You live next to an airport. Deal with it. My question was why do some planes taking off to the north begin thier turn SHARP right as soon as wheels are up.... Then they end up flying right down the Ping... I live in Wat Ket. They are loud. Half the flights do indeed... Fly straight north past the Mae Rim golf course then a slow right turn south.... Then they pass over Central Festival but at a higher altitude TIT. FK everyone else, we don't care
  9. A "tax expert ".... 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣. I doubt that in Thailand
  10. Disgusting. But... Killing 85 people and serving justice had no financial gain for anyone... So carry on. Stealing money... Like Icon has... There's cash to be found and all sorts of expensive goodies... So yes.. Police will work hard. Pathetic
  11. That's all well and good. The flooded bikes are flooding the secondhand market all around the region.... If it runs fine for a 15 minute test drive how do I know the hidden truth?
  12. I live in Chiang Mai. As it happens I'm in the market to buy a secondhand bike now. Many bikes here were submerged in mud and water for several days. If the bike is cleaned up... And a mechanic ensures it was cleaned and prepared before starting. Will that bike be just as good as pre flood? If not... What the warning signs?
  13. Both of my Thai bank accounts show zero details in the transaction about WHO I paid money too. Bangkok bank and Krungsri... Both have very basic and cryptic details of my transactions.. In both the app and in the monthly statements If won't even show an airline company or Netflix as basic examples Do you use a bank that shows me such details? Thanks
  14. Oh good... This topic is still ongoing. What are the time lines for transfer? My SSA is deposited to my USA bank 3rd of each month at about 10 am Thailand time. If I use the Bangkok bank and the ACH method... When will I see the deposit in my special savings account? To confirm.. I can immediately transfer ONLINE.. all of that deposit to my Bangkok bank regular savings account?
  15. Zero. But if I did... why would I announce it here? Nobody will be begging me to stay 555 555
  16. And this was for a 1 year non-o visa extension.. With no 800k?
  17. Yes. I understand this. Sum Tam must cost a lot more in Chiang Mai 55
  18. I need to renew my non o based on retirement in Chiang Mai. Minus 800k ✌️ Please recommend the cheapest agent... Pattaya is about 13k.. The 2 agents I've contacted in Chiang Mai want 25k! 5555...for the exact same job... Renew visa Thanks
  19. Your reply is childish
  20. Chiang Mai is having it rough. Far fewer tourists than projected. Before the floods was the city solvent? The construction projects.. Especially the underground cable project is taking a long time.. Is it a cash flow issue? The city is probably adding up the cost of the floods right now. The damage is staggering to city property. I wonder how many businesses will be closed.. For 3 months or forever? Thai people are just getting back on their feet from covid debacle and now this. I see LOTS of empty shops in the city.. Far more homeless sleeping in the city and the graffiti has skyrocketed I'm guessing Chiang Mai is going to get worse economically speaking? Thoughts?
  21. I am looking for a condo in View Talay 2A...and dissapointed to learn that 3BB fiber optic is not available there. Is the NT company reliable at 1gb download? The install and registration fees total 3500.... Very expensive.
  22. Thanks for that in depth look at Chiang Mai.
  23. True. Sorry. I misspoke. I enjoy listening to good QUALITY singing /music. Nine years ago in the old nimman area were several philippine groups.. They were fantastic.
  24. Very interesting and useful reply... It's served as a sanity check for my own thinking. Thanks. I used to lived in Chiang Mai 2015/16 and it's just not the same... Even adjusting for low season... It's too quiet here. I'm retired... But I still enjoy live music... Just a simple guy singing and a guitar...I enjoy a city buzz... Tough to find here. I did visit Vietnam twice this year... Da Nang and Hanoi.. and yes... it's all very busy there... I was never short on company to chat with... I'm single and live alone... In either city in Vietnam. Vietnamese have gotten more accepting to foreign tourists while Thai... and it's palpable... Have simply shunned me...even the women don't think I'm as handsome now 555.. Seriously.. 9 years ago... meetings a pretty Thai girl.. Outside of a bar life was easy.. Not now.. No way. I gave up on the idea of living in Vietnam because the housing quality wasn't good... No condos.. Only apartment buildings... Which meant no accountability for the building owners... hence the lousy interiors full of issues. Maybe I should return there with a different perspective now that I have experienced this "new Chiang Mai" Nothing stays the same.. But I'm not liking Thailands direction... Please feel free to DM me if you want to meet for a coffee or 5 tequilas. Mii pen rii
