  1. Yes indeed, Bodo a well drilled side, having to call on the big guns to get past the might Raith in the cup, we headed into the Euro tie in positive spirit but were totally undone. Ange did not help the cause by going with MOR and Tam together in midfield, isolating CMcG. We did get back into the game with a good goal from Maeda, crowd get to life and then bang, sucker punch of a 3rd goal. A sharp lesson in Euro football for Ange, cannot see us turning it around over there on lego pitch. So we really need to refocus on a more important game today, with Dundee the visitors to a stormy Celtic Park.
  2. Another 3pts after a poor performance at the Dons place. Back to function testing my ticker for last half an hour. Ange dropped Tam and the big Greek, who had done well recently. No Juranovic?? Anyway, played reasonably well first half and made the most of the few chances we created. Jota and MOR with 2 scrappy goals and Jota had one chalked off, we were strolling it at HT. Then bang, ABZ came out second half and took control. Scored from 2 set pieces-surprise surprise, but then we show a lot of character to regain the lead. Ange slow to make changes when the tide was turning. We hold out in the end but so nervy. Never an easy place to go, expectations high after recent displays, just so glad to escape with full points to stay top of the pile.
  3. Backed up our big midweek result with another comprehensive win, clean sheet again, rested a few big guns, things looking good at the moment. Pipe and slippers time for JH in goals. Ralston Dada and Tam tearing it up along the right flank in first half, was job done at HT. Bitton second half slotted in seamlessly. Big GG up front shooting blanks, their keeper did pull off some great saves-3 with his foot. Suspect Tam got MOM, cant listen to fat pie man after his disgusting comments midweek about CMcG, cannot believe the balloon has not been canned by Sky. Another difficult trip up north Wednesday night but we seem to be in a good place right now with 2 superb performances lately, good to see that finally, we are taking our chances. Strongest starting 11, can rest/rotate cup game at weekend. And Broony, well ya ken the script mate.
  4. We had 60,000 in here. I'm sure a lot walked in with some problems in their lives and for 95 minutes we made them forget that and feel good - and that's something special."Ange Postecoglou
  5. Just a shout out for CMcG and Ange. It was so brave of our captain to put himself up for selection and then to go out and put in a terrify performance. And what big Ange said after the game was pure class, about giving the fans a 90min away from the worries of everyday life. Motherwell hammer throwers up next, would run with same 11 except Bitton for CMcG. We do have options now in midfield, with Tam also in the mix. And great that the 5 sub rule has been reintroduced. Will be a totally different type game, as they will park bus-and we have struggled with breaking down that system recently.
  6. More nerve wrecking drama yesterday. DU almost hung on, having defended well for 90min but a superb cross and finish saw 10 man Celtic scrape by. We actually played really well but were just blunt up front. Was the sort of game we would won comfortably if we had the Gogo and Tam. Just missing that bit of quality in the final third. Bitton, who was having a really good game sold the jersey- again-2 yellows for pull backs-and now he will miss midweek game, in an area we are struggling. Must say, O'Riley was outstanding, my MOM. We saw both Scales and Taylor for a half each, neither impressed. Forrest looks well off it at the moment, looks to have lost pace, CCV and Starfelt solid, big GG up front had a few chances and fluffed his lines, keeper did make one outstanding save from him. Dada looks better playing through the middle than the wing IMO. Was encouraging to see Ange make changes at HT, guess that's the beauty of the 5 subs rule. There's talk of Maeda making a dash home for Wednesday night, here's hoping.
  7. Missed the cup game at weekend-steaming. 2 good goals but the result overshadowed by injury to CalMac, apparently we were kicked off the park. And now 2 of our first choice starting 11 off to play internationals, thats so wrong in the middle of the season. Anyway, a hard earned 3pts last night in Edinburgh. We started so well, scored 2 fine goals, total control of the game, but totally died a death in second half. Starfelt all over the place for their goal and then 2 of our players handle the ball and ref gives a penalty. But our luck was in, boy strikes the post and we hang on. Encouraging to see big CJ on the bench, I would like to see him start at weekend instead of Starfelt, not as if we will have a lot of defending to do anyway. Would also like to see Scales get a run ahead of Taylor.
  8. When doing 90 day reporting, does it have to be done on the specific day that its due or can you overshoot the runway? Talking about doing it at the office, not online.
  9. After what seemed like an eternity, we finally get back on the park in front of a full house against the Hibs, and went home with 3 points, with a really good first half performance, kind of took foot off gas second half. Surprised to see Ralston not starting but 2 new boys started and Jota off the bench, good news indeed. Hibs missed a sitter at the start and we go up the park, press well, turn them over and Maeda with a composed finish, from a Tam set up. Lovely ball by Taylor is controlled in the box by Dada and Ref spots a hand ball, JJ buries the spot kick. We are in total control, with new boy Reo running the show in midfield. Played with good tempo, had a few decent chances but failed to take. Then second half was a bit flat, we were in control but unable to add that 3rd goal. Hibs, in fairness, did have decent spells of possession, big JH with one great cross save. MOM was deservedly won by Reo. Little impact from bench but game had petered out by then. Most played well, Starfelt done reasonably well against Nisbet, Taylor with some good passing but most of Hibs chances came down his wing and he offers little in attack.
  10. Looks like today, for the first time, Hungry Now have introduced delivery charges, 15 to 20B.
  11. Hungry Now is my favorite, so user friendly and great discounts. GRAB does my head in trying to access discounts, just wish Caddyshack and Robin Hood T were on Hungry Now. And way more expensive than HN. Most Thais do prefer GRAB. I also use Foodpanda but only for Grillicious.
  12. Looking like 3 Japan boys coming in, good news, as we need to strengthen. Biggest challenge will be offloading the non contributors- Barkas Bain Hazard Soro McCarthy Ajeti Boli for me should all be punted. Finally big CJ also ready for a return, will be an addition if he has got over his nightmare injury. Mental that we had 18 players missing for last game. Suspect a few were covid but we seem to have a massive injury list every season??
  13. Does anyone know what are the requirement's/paperwork needed to get an international driving permit in Chonburi? I did get one a few years back but cant remember what I took.
  14. Best Guinness I have had in Pattaya has been at Caddyshack. Guinness is something like 800B a keg more expensive that before covid, so expect to pay over 200B a pint. Think it was 220B in Caddyshack. a few days ago.
  15. Was actually a decent performance by a patched up team, on a dreadful surface, surely they could have rolled it, fat pie man was there for Sky??? Feared the worse when I saw Barkas and JMcC on teamsheet and the state of our bench with 5 kids. Great ball from JJ for first goal and sublime pass from the impressive Tam for second-and 2 great finishes too. 3rd was again set up by Tam and neat finish by the ever improving Bitton, he really has come onto a game this last few months. We seemed to loose our way in second half, gifting them a lifeline, making for a nervy finish. This early winter break is welcome, in every sense. We need an impressive transfer window. The rumored 3 from the Far East would be an ideal start. Starfelt looked solid for a few games after he came back from injury but he has regressed and frankly, is totally unreliable. Would run with Welsh for now, hopefully see big CJ back.
  16. Is it possible to use the 800K for retirement for this account? And still meet immigration requirments?
  17. This is a Thai place we use in Jomtiem, worth a try IMHO. Just use it for take away, love their Pad Karpow. Its opposite Grand Caribbean Condo, which is just up from Frasers.
  18. Absolutely thrilled for Ange to land trophy 6 months into the job, will be an important step in the continued development of the group. Not a great game but exciting. Must say, was surprised to see AR and Bitton on the bench, apparently AR carrying a knock. Hibs parked bus in first hale, we had lots of possession but poor decision making in the final 3rd meant we went in 0-0 at HT. Second half, Hibs had a go and I guess that it suited us in a way, creating space in behind. They took the lead from surprise surprise, a corner, Starfelt totally loses his man and they score. Starfelt had a poor game, missing a sitter when all alone in their box and had several car crash moments. Just after they scored, we equalize, couldn't make out who played in the wee man (Taylor or CMcG?) but a lovely pass and great finish had us level. It was game on now and thankfully we get ahead with some quick thinking from Tam and a sublime finish from wee Gogo. Then we ride our luck a bit, big JH comes up trumps, they hit the post, Starfelt could have got done for hand on back but we survive to lift the cup. But we do seem to like tight finishes lately. Several outstanding performances, Taylor was good, CCV again outstanding, Tam CMcG Bitton, all class. And of course, wee man up top with 2 superb finishes. Another hamstring injury for our player, the unfortunate Turnbull this time. Quick turnaround again, out Wednesday night at a depleted St Mirren, time for the likes of Scales, Moffet Shaw to step up, we cannot keep flogging the same group.
  19. A night of high drama in the highlands saw out 10 men come away with 3 points. Ange had to play a totally makeshift forward line with Monty and JJ on the flanks, both were poor overall, Dada up top, took his goal well and tried hard but just not a striker. Still, little choice for Ange. Dada's goal was well set up by the impressive Scales. WE get to HT one up, fair play to RC, they did press us high up at times. Our midfield three doing well. WE batter them for first 10 min of second half, then we concede from, guess what, a set piece. Starfelt acts like a tool and eventually talks himself into a red. 10 men kept plugging away away but looked like we were never going to score as the clock ran down, when Tam with a sublime cross, and there was hero AR to head home. Unbelievable, really was. Ralston is becoming the heartbeat of this team, put his body on the line to prevent a goal in second half and then pops up with a winner, he just never gives up-the new Browney. Center forward for cup final Sunday, Ange? Something needs to be done about set pieces, we cannot keep this up. Anyway, sets us up brilliantly for cup final.
  20. Was 1 going on 3 or 4, a familiar tale there. Tam, outstanding again, should have had a hat trick, JF missed a sitter early doors. We did play some really good, passing football but without an end product, guess a lot down to playing without a striker, did look like he had Turnbull playing up top. Big JH did indeed saved our bacon with an outstanding double save. Good to have Ralston back, and with JF again injured, we may see JJ pushed into a more advanced role on Wednesday. Games coming thick and fast for our thread bare squad, especially attacking wise. Hearing Gogo may be back sooner than expected.
  21. Decent enough performance by second string Celtic team in dead rubber last night. Ange got team selection spot on and then dropped the ball by bringing on the only fit striker at the club and guess what, he pulls up. Now we have no fit striker, 18 points and a cup up for grabs before the break. Both Uraghide and Scales did well and look to have potential, a tad sloppy with passes at times but due to lack of match fitness, Welsh and Bitton solid. MJ did really well to set up Hendo but was really slack for both their goals and fluffed his lines with a great chance at the death, still good to get 90min from him. Dada sent over a brilliant corner for Welsh to redirect for opener, hope to see him on corners from now on. Bain a tad unlucky for the equalizer, Dada did well to draw foul for our winning penalty. Next up is a home tie Sunday against Steelmen. Hard to predict a starting 11 with so many injuries to our attackers. Time for MJ and Dada to really step up, hopefully Forrest and Tam will be fit. More embarrassment from Ned's in the corner.
  22. Outstanding performance indeed, first 2 goals were top drawer and then a composed finish from Scales, who does look to have something about him. CalMac and Tam outstanding, ran the show. Next up is a dead rubber Thursday night, hopefully put out a second string of fringe players. Was impressed with their keeper. That was a red all day long, shocking. Hearing Jota could be out for a month, likely to miss cup final, that's a blow.
