I doubt much will change.
Well if he is successful in pulling together a coalition of the required number of votes he will need to sell his soul to the entrenched. Hopefully he can still make a bit of progress in a few key areas so he can build experience, trust and a track record in future elections. Don’t expect too much it is naive. He has a lot against him. He needs time.

Well it’s the law and he is not above the law. If he is as smart as I think he is, he would know that this law has tripped up other politicians in the past and would have taken steps to be free and clear of this. If he did not then maybe he is not as smart as I had hoped he is. What ever the case, this will just be the first of many ongoing attempts to bring him down. So the first but definitely not the last. I wish him well, change is needed. Out with the dinosaurs and in with the new bucks.

Exactly. Was just getting ready to respond with this same explanation. The utility will always trail the actual market prices. We saw breaks in price action in march of 22 but the actual fuel prices didn't come down till June.
Well then, I look forward to the reduction in my electric bill in the coming months.

It tells me that it is very significantly lower than in my U.K. and the rest of Europe.
Well I was thinking more along the lines that electricity prices are managed and don’t reflect global commodity pricing. That door swings both ways … electric prices were reduced during Covid but now over priced relative to LNG prices

The information here is false. The global price of price of LNG in Asia has dropped from $37 per million BTU in Dec 2020 (2 months before the invasion of Ukraine) to $13 per million BTU today. Yes there was a temporary increase that peaked in August 2022 but the price has dropped precipitously since then. How can a journalist publish something like this without fact checking it? Beyond that, what does this tell you about the price of electricity in Thailand.

You mean the China virus? What could possibly be causing this uptick in cases.

I fully understand why the police ignored this case.

It is mainland Chinese gangs stationed in Thailand who prey on the children of influential/well-off people from China. It starts with a ransom demand and if their demands are not met, they kill the kidnappee.
I get that but it says her father is a music teacher in China … not a lucrative profession to be paying out kidnapping ransom

FACE the all time fall back to not telling someone they are wrong in public.
My GF refuses to send food back as she says the cook will loose FACE. We just don't eat it and never go back.....how can one learn from mistakes if not told.....end of rant.
Quite true but no way I am eating what the chef sends back after you have refused the dish.

No Im not in the list. It's a guy I know that claims he got Thai Citizenship already, but I believe he is not really truth ful. I wanted to verify if I can make sure he does not lie to me by finding his and or his brothers name there.
Just ask to see his Thai ID card. The ID number is easily checked.

How is it even possible that this guy is still breathing? Not that I wish anything bad to happen to him, but you would think that the powers that be - the RTP in particular- would want to shut this guy up for good quite desperately.
Chuwit is no fool. Whatever he has on the people in power, you can be sure he is as safe as a baby in its mothers arms. Big Joke must be feeling the schadenfreude after being kicked to the curb by some of the same people a couple of years ago.

Mr Sky is a fool, coming to Thailand, he could end up dead.
With all the coverage of this there is no chance Mr Sky is in any danger. On his next trip to Thailand … well maybe he best leave Thailand off his travel list for a few years.

I am impressed. One honest man and a dishonest man that has impressive organizational capability. Clearly, the right men for next Prime Minister and Deputy PM

What is this all about? It’s clear that those who have been vaxed twice last year have no/minimal immunity remaining. Some knowledgeable researchers would argue that these people (those vaxed with lapsed ‘immunity’) are even more susceptible to being infected by the virus. I am tempted to believe that these new entry regulations are being put in place to give the appearance of taking meaningful action … to make those in power look good to voters. Any thought that these measures will stop or reduce Covid are delusional. The fact that the regulations don’t apply to Thai citizens tends to add further strength to this argument.

It would be tempting, if one was carrying a gun and drugs, to make more of an effort to blend in and look like a plain vanilla tourist. Everything about this guy shouts out ne’er-do-well.

Idiot. And where did he get the gun?
Likely the guy that turned him in to the police sold him the gun

Well on the plus side maybe there will be some good deals to be had. My Chinese neighbour (of uncertain occupation) has put his 3 month old Bentley on a fire sale … he thinks it might attract too much attention right now.

I admit to being overly fond of dogs and have lived around wild animals most of my life. Sadly, once any animal has crossed the threshold and attacked humans in this way, it can never be trusted again. There are few options going forward the kindest being to put Pepo down. Hope they do the right thing … or count on a repeat performance in the future.

Once burned shame on you, twice burned shame on me. It’s sad to see women like this who have such low esteem that they accept toxic behavior like this for so long.
