  1. Very true !!!! ????????
  2. Omg ,no one wanted to kidnap my old bum???? I remember being in General Santos City ,it's a country city and I was walking back late one night along a quiet road ,up ahead was a Filipino guy who kept looking back at me scared I was thinking how can he be scared of a foreigner ? When I got up close he stopped and let me pass ,he looked at me clearly in the face with a nervous look Had no idea why he got scared of me unless it was my panting and puffing trying to walk that he heard Maybe he thought I was deep breathing for him Of course anywhere can be dangerous even in some parts of Australia at night
  3. Yes thanks . Just as a question, and I don't know if it's State by State or it's federal government in the USA but my question is ,if I was working say at a low paid job do I get free healthcare in a government hospital say I had kidney stones does it cost me money there, that's the rumours we hear here in Australia.
  4. Davao is very safe ,I walked every night ,to gym 24hour gym It's very busy and tourist police everywhere
  5. What city is that in? I didn't see any guards outside 711 not even unarmed ones What city ,you mean Manila ? I didn't see them ,only outside banks , Certainly not in Davao City and Gensan . Even in Angeles City I didn't see guards outside 711 and that's only early this year . Maybe you live in the past?
  6. So I should let someone practically hitting me with the motorbike go? That young arab guy was going berserk before he hit the spoed hump ,making noise revving up the engine , I stood over him , as he is wailing about his leg , and I just looked straight into his eyes ,that today still gives me a good feeling.
  7. I got mugged in Chiang Mai 2007 three guys on motorbikes in a back street 11pm and a week later a Aussie backpacker was stabbed to death nearby in a robbery so I never went back !
  8. Your right about overpopulation every where I went was busy. Every shopping centre fast food restaurant was packed out galore no seats in most . I thought where do these guys get the money and most were families !!
  9. Once again your perception is out probably because you live in the past I suspect it's a right wing group?
  10. Doesnt happen in Thailand??
  11. I would keep it. I'm receiving no thanks for handing in lost property I have done this before in the past in my job and received absolutely no thanks ,some even blame you ," why didn't you contact me earlier ,you had my phone number in the wallet ! "Oh there's $20 missing !!! Etc etc Just put it in your pocket I recall back in 2011 I was on that boat in Bangkok going up the river when a group of Russian dropped a few 100 baht and didn't see it. A Thai guy pointed to the floor of the boat ,they picked it up didn't even acknowledge him. Immediately in front of them I said how stupid he was
  12. I heard about all the "muggings" and kidnapping too Then I went to Philippines first time last year flew down south to General Santos City a big country city then onto the safest city Davao City As I heard about the muggings etc I walked to the gym that evening ready for any confrontation, hypervigilant ,some people seemed more scared of me I soon realised the young people all were engrossed in their mobile phones and making tiktok videos and didn't even blink a eye at me. I went into the modern shopping centres ( General Santos City ) to see nearly every fast food restaurant full with families ., This is evening I went also to the gym to see how friendly people were even young guys asking if I wanted help One thing that astounded me was the trycyles drivers didn't shout to me like the motorcycle taxi in Thailand I walked back to the red doorz motel ,9pm at night ,standing at the crossing ,a guy in a car at the Red light in a Hilux wound down his window " you can walk across he shouts I immediately looked at him thinking he could be a rapist or kidnapper No way mate I shout back , I know what your up to , I read stories about the Philippines!
  13. With the Philippines it all depends on exactly what area you live in and your goals Obviously if you want a quiet area you not going to live in Manila I like foreigner areas such as Duamegette You have to pick the area that suits your goals
  14. This is a Thai forum?? Hasn't been a " Thai" related only forum for quite sometime Your living in the past as most oldies too unfortunately
  15. What areas in Philippines did you travel to experience this?? you can be mugged in other Asian countries too
  16. Why compare it to Thailand specifically? Unless your living there of course ,
  17. Those people needed punishment ( karma) they had no considerations for me !
  18. So you leave your dog crap there ? If I saw that I would hope karma ranes on you
  19. Was speaking recently to a old guy in Pattaya who was looking for a real partner Both agreed the Philippines is the place if you want a real partner ,they are more caring and looking to look after their partner . Financial aspects it's cheaper in most areas ( non tourist ) than most other Asian countries If your from the UK your pension has benefit If your living in the Philippines what's so great about it Love the Duamegette area
  20. I wonder how religions define Karma? Is it only the Buddhist religion that mentions karma ???
  21. Was that intentional or cultural thing though ???
  22. Uri Geller talk on that
  23. You never been in a real job where you been f....d over by people right? Never been out there in society just sitting by a desk in a university, all perfect world sitting in your office , Try working environments like emergency ward nursing or police or even paramedic ,security guards, etc you will become a person hater believe me but your life sounds too rosy Plenty of people here know what I'm talking about and have experienced life being trodden on by people in jobs and life !!! Those who worked jobs like night shift taxi driver , emergency services etc all have been f....d over in life and need karma around them
  24.
