I went with good quality aluminium windows in the end...........

Where did you find these and how much did they cost?

I spent a long time searching around Pattaya and only found a couple of places that could do anything that I would call "good quality" aluminium windows, and the prices were very high indeed.

ARC does good quality aluminium windows imported from Europe, but definitely not cheap.

Seems the competition has got to them then , for at least a decade that I can remember they were saying how their "German" uPVC was the best and aluminum was something they were dead set against because of the benefits their uPVC had over it.

Seems the other guys that offer uPVC for the eastern seaboard got them down so they now offer aluminum too.

Go figure ???

You can hire from Budget a pick up truck ( many years ago I did this ) went to their office near RCA collected the pick up and drove it down to Phuket.

They have a drop off point at the Marriot Hotel in Patong.

One way rental if can remember was around 10/15k exc gas.

Might be worth a call to them

I guess may of been the case , he was in our lane when we started going down into the underpass and just quickly moved straight across to the right lane.

I got the phone out and took the photos and was busy looking at them to post as we continued down. I saw the truck out the corner of my eye as we entered the tunnel and assumed it had stopped because he saw the bike.

There is nothing wrong with the vehicles in the photos. They are on the correct lanes just like you are

Going through the radio channels the otherday in the car from the thai mrs mangos listens too to 89.5 and 91.5 was back on.

My son went there before moving into the New place in Kathu.

From our experience no complaints at all.

Haven't heard of anywhere better.

If we were to have a second kid would have no problem sending them too.

Me mrs mango and the sprog are going for the 5m plan each , came to a total of a tad under 100k. Happy with that with the cover it gives.

A little surprised they dont offer family cover though ???

Told the quack today that id submitted my medical records to Bupa and if theres anything that should get them to decline and he said for sure not all should be ok.

Oh and PS very happy to say the results were all good(ish) feom the visit.

Must of been the chillin effect of the violin.

.....with several cards(BangkokBank, CC, ExpatPrivilgeCard, membership card,....) gets you discounts between 10-50%.

Have the xpat priv card.

That only covers medications though.

Not the ultrasound cost or doctors fee unfortunately..

Not aware of any others that offer discounts on what I paid for ??

A personal opinion and I HOPE IM WRONG , but seems to me your flogging a dead horse.

They have a product that they offer for sale , you accepted there offer and they supplied there product.

You could of spent 3x on something else or maybe even half what you paid them.

Seems to me your wasting your time no matter have grieved you feel.

we did check what we were buying Mango, to a certain extent, but we did not check the product so thoroughly that we looked at what the locking system was made of. I mean the locking mechanism is held within the handle and so is quite hard to examine without taking the product apart. it is only since the locks failed and fell onto the floor that i have been able to have a good look at the construction

i do feel like i am flogging a dead horse a bit mate - but i feel i need to try something, as doing nothing makes me feel aggrieved

Any Update ?

It's the way the Bangkok Phuket nickel and dime everything. Extras for medical supplies for this and that,there is even a charge for getting my medical records out of the 'store'. At the Phuket international is just the doctor's fee, no extras other than blood test costs. Specialist at PI = 400 baht, specialist at BP = 1,200 baht. For sure now that BP bought PI then costs will be 'aligned'.

Spot on with the costs ,
