Don't judge.... For recipient, I put Bangkok Bank New York... This time: I put my name....not even full name as shown in passbook...? Used my middle initial. I even used my US address........ I'm happy.

Success!!! I transferred $50 from Wise borderless to Bkk Bank NY. on Wed. our time. I used my first, middle initial, last name,. And I had my address in Texas listed in the recipient box.? Go figure that out. Money arrived here 9:44 as international transfer...that equals FTT 32.47 minus 200bt. More expensive....one day slower....but a good back up!!

Ok. I'll give it a try again. 50.51 in my Wise NY . I added a recipient. BKK bank NY... ACH Routing number 026008691 Then my bkk bank account number. Use my name as account holder. Sending dollars to here. Sound right? Oh...my address listed with Wise is a Texas address, if that makes a difference.

Are you talking about a transfer from Wise NY to Bbk Bank NY, then on to bbk local?

I'm here on Non O A and have bought that wonderful (Not) insurance from LMG. 7000 a year.. If I go out with a re-entry permit does that insurance meet the needs when I return? My current permisson to stay expires in 7 months. If LMG is as worthless as I believe...I would have to buy 7 or so months of travel insurance., or come back Visa exempt. Then convert to Non O. Hate to lose the 7 months I have left now..

If I change my address in Wise to a Thai address, does it have to be the address I have on file with Bangkok Bank? I moved since opening that account and never updated.

No specific reason, Just "To Bangkok Bank, canceled". So after reading what is on Bangkok Banks NYs webpage and a page about what is IAT.. I assumed it was because of the IAT. I used the add recipient button....And...for address....I put in the address of Bangkok Bank NY. Because it says..local bank account...numbers and address. That's interesting. If they want my address here....Thai address...???? If I use the Add your bank account button. It does not ask for an address. The address on file with Wise is a US address...????

NO. Bangkok Bank NY returned the transfer from Wise borderless NY. Bangkok Bank NY will NOT transfer any money that arrives in a non IAT format. And Wise does not, and can not provide that format. Do not transfer any money to Bangkok Bank NY from a Wise account!!! They (Bangkok Bank NY) returned the money to my Wise account last night. Wise even refunded the 51 cent transfer fee.. That was nice of Wise..

I just logged in to Wise. Says if I send money now, it should arrive tomorrow.. If it were going to be an instant transfer....wouldn't it say in seconds....not tomorrow??? 1pm here now. Sucks I have to be so worried about something that used to be no problem.

Ok, so 2 people have reported that the Wise NY to Bkkbank NY worked. Makes me feel a little better...but My deposit from Wise NY to Bkkbank was successfully sent on Thursday...7:30pm/ Not sure if that was US time, or local time here. Successfully sent, doesn't mean received by Bkk bank NY. Wise does note at the bottom of the transfer activity...""Keep in mind — It can take up to 2 working days for Bangkok Bank 's bank to credit the account."" The transfer didn't show yesterday, and today being Sat. I hope it shows up Mon. hope hope .I'm just a nervous guy when it comes to sending money. I'll see what Monday brings.

As I suspected. The transfer from Bangkok Bank New York was not forwarded to my account here. Wise shows Bangkok Bank NY accepted the money. It's 2:20...past the time the deposit would of shown up. Now I have to find a way to get the money in BkkBank NY back...

Pib said he sent money from his Borderless Wise account in NY to Bangkok Bank New York. 50 dollar test. Wise charged him . 51c. He reported that Bangkok Bank NY received the money and forwarded it to his Bangkok Bank account here. Swift transfer,, dollar to dollar convert to Baht here. So, I added Bangkok Bank NY as a recipient and sent a transfer from my Wise Borderless account to Bkk Bank this morning. 50 dollars. They also charged me 51c for the transfer. I don't know if this will work or not.....but worth a shot. I should know by or before 2pm tomorrow. Bkk Bank will return the money if they can't... or won't ...forward.

Could you clear up something? Please. When you sent the Swift transfer via Wise, was it from a borderless account in NY? What reason for the transfer did you choose? What fee did you choose? The $14 dollar or $2.90. How much did you pay start to finish? And...lastly...what was the total when you sent it to Bkk NY to BkkB here? I know BkkB charges 200bt for the exchange. But what else. Sorry if too many questions. I want to decide which option to choose with my next transfer. Thanks

So after 5 emails to Wise asking them to "tag" my transfer to BBL and not getting a reassuring response. I logged into Wise and added a dollar to dollar swift transfer option. Haven't tried it yet. Next transfer in Nov. I see it will cost more, not sure how much, and slower. A few extra dollars isn't a problem nor is 4 to 5 working days. I will see if a test transfer on the 1st works, and if not.... what do you think of doing the swift, dollar to dollar?
