When I was there getting money from the UK came with various codes, I think it depends which channel is used when it gets to BKK, by the way SCB and all banks don't always do what Immigration wants from you, your problem it seems, too difficult to have a seamless system. These attachments from the SCB website may help.

If the scanners are as good as the one on my Samsung I wouldn't worry, you could be Pablo Escabar and still get in.

Not true, bought for 3.2m 13 years ago, when it was 72THB to the £, sold last year in 3 months for 8.5m at around 42THB, I might have been lucky but 44,444 buy price, just over 200,000 sell price.

Shame it degenerates into a Brexit argument AGAIN ! the thread was about 30THB to the £, yes Brexit has a lot to do with it but that was not the thread.

Thai exports down 5% may have something to do with it as well, as would tourist numbers dropping etc. etc.

The referendum result was NOT binding as many think.

Not wishing to be smug but the thing about poor resale didn't work in my case, I paid for a house in 2005, 2.5m @ 73 Baht to the £ and sold it 13 years later for 8.9m @ 45 to the £ so it can pay if you are lucky I guess.

I used to like it but when it descended into getting chunks of ice thrown at you and water from filthy Klongs I gave up.

Why is it odd? It was an air crash and fire, sometimes i.d. is difficult and the UK are not in the habit of releasing info until it is confirmed. Speculation is what TV netizens however live on.

Like where are the thai crew?  Or were they talking about just the 2 brothers ?And if they were tracking the boat for weeks to darwin then why not intercept? Its ais unit would have been turned on in order for that to happen. 

This story leaves you to wonder. The guys are free so mission accomplished. This sais a lot about what australia thinks about thailand. If you can steal a 500,000 dollar yacht and sail to australia and be set free.  That says it all right there.

Travel Insurance doesn't cover a lot of things. Certainly not high risk activity, think that just about covers everything here !
