Hi all,
Did a search on here but couldn't find the thread.
I have been quoted 21,000THB for 1 root canal, post and crown which seems a lot.
Does anyone have any recommendations please?
Thanks

sticking to the question and not comparing countries.
Spring when the trees and plants come to life, sitting in a beer garden in daylight at 9pm. Autumn colours, snuggling in front of a log fire in winter, the driving, people still holding doors for each other, the supermarkets. the fresh sea air (if not in a city),

You don't have to read it all if it is too much for you.

you can drive in the UK for up to a year with a Thai license, then you need a UK one.
Not the same for all Countries though as some have a reciprocal agreement where you can just transfer, Thailand is not one of them.

Not sure how Brexit has been mixed up with Saudi arms deals and the UK needing cash from anywhere.
UK has been dealing arms with Saudi Arabia for decades ! (not saying it is right but it is fact) If that has to do with Brexit then Brits have brilliant foresight !

When you are all done please update the thread with the process used. I have another dog that I want to move over to UK later this year if everything goes to plan with my wife's UK visa.
Thanks.
Will do

Thanks guys,
That helps a lot, just found out that for the UK they have to fly cargo and not excess baggage, very expensive, cheaper to go to civilised Countries like France or Holland and then ferry or Eurostar to the UK.
Should be fun with 2 huge suitcases and 2 big dogs !

Hi
We are looking at moving our 2 dogs back to the UK, Golden retrievers so not small.
I have looked at all the sites (UK Embassy etc.) and its pretty convoluted for the UK.
Is there anyone here in Phuket that can help/arrange ? I seem to remember a couple of posts about this in the past but can't find them now.
Thanks in advance

Hi all
Any ideas as to where I could get packing cases for International shipments ?
Tea chest type things but doesn't have to be tea chests. Something a bit stronger then cardboard though if possible.
Thanks

seems the work is only 25% complete and they reckon another 18 months of this stupidity.

With that area being very, very shallow it is highly unlikely he did not look ahead. The explanation given (hydraulic issue) is more likely.
Well it did say he sped up then had hydraulic failure, they speed up to get onto the plane thus less draft, no matter it is a mangrove area with a speed limit !
Also if your steering fails the sensible option is to stop.

Just came through Chalong Circle, they are removing the old power poles, several large cranes, north bound lane past Homepro is closed.
Pretty chaotic with long tailbacks, the jam stretches back to the PTT garage near Soi Yuan.

Given how often the requirements change has anyone got the updated list of what you need to show ?
Not the money bit, that has been done to death !
Many thanks

Not much worse, just the Chinese hordes with no road sense at all, even when walking.

On the main road from the circle past the sea shell museum just before the beach road on your right there is a Soi with a temple gate go under the gate about 100 or so meters on the right side . The water is excellent there but if you go up towards Soi Naam Jai you will get terrible water , lots of iron
That is where we get our water from, deep well, no problem putting it in a pool.

PFD's as they are called now (personal flotation devices) come in 2 types, Buoyancy aids which are for jet ski's etc. and proper life jackets, Buoyancy aids will not keep your head above water, in fact if you are unconscious they will make you float head down and are not designed for rough water. There is an International standard and alsoThai Gov. approved ones which are rubbish and dirt cheap, you can pay more to have Solas Approved lifejackets which is the Industry standard but Thai authorities will not allow them as they do not have Thai Gov approval. Go figure.
