  1. No, due to their complete disregard for laws and regulations of the road - or any other kind for that matter.
  2. Lots of nonsense in this article as many have already observed. starting with the dangerously misleading statement that Thais are welcoming and friendly. Should have said ‘many’, or even ‘most’. Then goes on to scams ‘Bangkok's most famous scam is when a local lies to a tourist....’ doesn’t sound too friendly? Then the bit about ‘jai yen’ which was given the literal translation of ‘cool heart’, which is quite different from it’s real meaning in the context which was to keep a cool head. He then really ought to have warned of the potential consequences of getting loud and angry. Lots more missing and nonsensical as previous replies state.
  3. “Once is bad enough but that’s the turd time this week” said Win the mocy taxi driver.
  4. “The incident occurred in the middle of the night yesterday, April 7th, on Soi Marine Yen Sabai near Pattaya Walking Street.” I guess it wasn’t all that ‘yen’ or ‘sabai’ after all.
  5. I have some very hard working and prudent in-laws. On the other hand I have some that this sums up, a S-i-l who started a shop but spent the the money that she got from sales rather than just the profit. This inevitably led to her ending up with nothing to sell. Her daughter and the daughter’s ‘tom’ then took on the shop and did exactly the same thing. A B-i-L is a farmer, whenever he sells a crop they go on a spending spree followed by not having money for things like seed, fertilizer or diesel for the tractors.
  6. Not sure how you’ve leaped to that conclusion as the reasons for it have not been made public.
  7. They’re business people, they understand the basic principle that reducing a loss is exactly the same as increasing profit at the end of the year. If that means taking a hit to move players on, so be it. This could come by way of reduced selling fees, canceling or paying off contracts, or even subsidized loans or salaries. Clearing out unwanted players is an area where the previous administration failed miserably, despite incredible success in other areas.
  8. Tougher than coming back with ten men at the Bernebau? Tougher than being a goal down in Munich with a couple of minutes to go? Tougher than City in a final?
  9. Plenty of contenders for that honour.. Looks like we could bring back our ‘Goal of the Month’ competition now! My thoughts on the refereeing, penalty and retake were both correct, only people ignorant of the laws of the game are questioning the retake. Should have been a red for the foul on James, should have been a penalty for the shove in the back on Havertz but for me the biggest boob by the ref was blowing for a non existent foul when we had three players racing towards goal. He should have let the move finish and if we’d scored VAR could have reviewed the blatant non-foul. Onwards and upwards, shame we can’t get Rottenham in the next round!
  10. I have, I thought that it was ok but that the (Booker Prize winning) book was much more enjoyable.
  11. I feel for you if that Redarmchair bore frequents your local!
  12. Seems a complete waste of time all round if they’re just going into storage.
  13. I thought he was dead.
  14. About 40 years ago I was 20 and riding around on a Suzuki GT750 like a lunatic, wherever did you get the idea everyone was on a bicycle? I guess I was lucky I wasn’t born that ten years earlier!
