I can afford a new iPhone, but I would never throw away that kinda money on such useless overpriced crap. I guess that's why I have money. Thais on the other hand live in a tin shack and have the new iPhone and red plate car. I own my nice house and my car and keep my money in my bank account. Luckily my parents taught me to be smart with money.

I would also recommend the 5c in your child's favorite color along with a 1,000 baht for a couple cases to trick it out...

That being said I would happily pay a 500 baht "fee" for a same day que spot that can be collected after 8am at the Chiang Mai Immigration...

Does anyone know what happened about this "fee" in Phuket ?

At the Chiang Mai Immigration office near Promenada Mall, there is an enormous sign saying the CR is free.

Officer asked for 500 baht. I said I was in no hurry and did not need VIP orocessing. Was told to come back in 10 days.

10 days later, free CR.

Latest report is that the free ones take 30 days to process :-(...
